  1. Yes, though I expect you won't have a problem in the Sports Bar. The club have certain 'exemptions'.

    Duty paid

You split the difference, I hope.
  3. Down to one Grandparent- my Grandad who is now 89. Last year he was put out of action while breaking out a concrete slab in the back garden and putting his knee out in the process. All things told he's doing remarkably well. He's a stubborn old bugger and is determined to keep busy. The result is the most DIY-bodge-filled house you will ever see. I never touch anything that's plugged into the mains.
  4. I remember in first year at school there was a kid who went round thinking he was gett hard as owt because he 'knew the Conroys' (bullshitting, of course). Never did strike up the courage to ask him if he could sort a discount on a nice dining room carpet, though.
  5. The nights after NYE are the best time as most people are still hungover/skint/both. The result being little queueing and decent offers.

    Insomnia

I had a few weeks in the summer where I couldn't sleep any earlier than 5am. Then it stopped. My preferred method would be to listen to shite on local radio. Your subconscious eventually concedes defeat when faced with an early-morning phone-in.
  7. Take a floorboard to your arse? I'll bet you would an all. The paddle just ain't enough these days. T-Keith- 95% isn't that hot. Are you saying 5% of your entire piss output settles outside the bowl area altogether?
  8. So while Gem is appalled at the thought of a momentary wonky aim, he is more than happy to shit on a shelf.
  9. Well, some us don't get the opportunities to sleep at work that others do.
  10. That's sick, tbh. Ultimately Scott you must just be a supreme being who never has to make quick adjustments while half asleep. Though it could be that you're a closet sitty-downer.
  11. It wasn't rancid, it just needed a bit of surface work. In my defence, we're not the only lot to have lived here and the carpet we took up was ancient. It's not that you don't piss everywhere, it's your insistence that you never ever veer off course. Unless you never sleep or get pissed.
  12. I've only had proper flu once and it was pretty awful. Still waiting for this year's 48-hour illness. My way of combating it is to load up on Lemsip until i cant feel my hands any more. If I still can, the kettle goes back on. Even if I stay ill, at least I won't feel it.
  13. Do you think we will get a replacement? Steve Howey, of course.
  14. I just hope he sticks by his promise to piss off back to Oz in the summer. The fact that he's one of our two best centre-halves is tragic.
  15. We don't have the revenue streams to support the interest in the way Man Utd can. He'd need a partner- someone who wouldn't want the cash coming back straight away.
  16. Where exactly would Fred find close to £65m? (The amount actually required, but oddly not disclosed by the article- if Shep bought out the Halls he would have to have the funds to make an offer for 100% ownership). Shepherd Offshore is profitable, but modestly so in light of such figures. He has built his shareholding on the strength of the club's dividends and the readiness to sell of institutional investors such as Legal & General (who at one stage owned 9.9%). Pinch of salt time.
  17. Calif...coca-colaaah A bit of rehersing wouldn't have gone amiss there. Some strange people around though..

    Spam Mail

I've had a yahoo mail account for ages now, probably 6 or 7 years. Having not logged on for a week, I had 248 emails, all bar 7 were spam.
  19. Just how many local multi-millionaires are they? (bearing in mind they are looking at £80m+).
  20. As its now in the spotlight, Youtube is likely to find itself stripped of the stuff people actually want to see and what is left is people acting up on webcams.
  21. What's your budget? A quality piano sound will require a waveform engine (so you are actually playing the same sound as a piano which has been recorded to high quality and reproduced) rather than a synthesis engine. On the other hand, electro sounds will be limited if you have waveform but no synthesis facility whereby you can load patches and tweak various parameters until you acheive the exact sound you are looking for. The Korg OASYS will do both to a supreme level, but it's £6,000! So it's really going to depend on what you have to spend.
  22. If we did this it would leave me convinced that the management of this club simply do not have a clue.
  23. Chased down and won more than anyone else today. I can understand criticism of his low conversion of final balls, but for me his workrate has never been in doubt.
