Right you want reason, I'll give you reason.... This isn't something that was decided by one person on a whim, it's been in discussion amongst the admin for 7 months. Since that time your posts have been editted on more than one occassion and a PM has been sent to you asking you to consider what you are posting before submitting. None of this advice has ever appeared to have been heeded. Your posting style - quite threatening to some, calling people cunts and borderline racism is water off a ducks back to us individually but as administrators of a forum, we have concerns on how it makes people perceive Toontastic. Skunkers has a reputation which we want to avoid echoing. We're not as liberal as them (frankly it's impossible) but we're not as 'lock-down' as Newcastle-Online. We never aimed to be either from the start, we aimed to fit in between - that was our niche and up until now we've been able to do that with hardly any intervention on our part. That's a credit to all the people who post on this forum in that they know when to draw the line. Allowing you to continue as you have done would move us towards the setup that is in place at Skunkers and the people who run this place - the people who have spent time and money developing this site over the past 4 years are unanimous in their belief that they don't want that. Divulge - I'm quite interested to hear this in detail. Don't get me wrong, I've only posted on here or N-O but this forum is a hundred times better than N-O. I just don't understand why someone like Danny B can post absolute rubbish with the sole intent of winding people up and allowed to continue while a stalwart poster like Stevie gets the boot. I'm an out-of-towner so no doubt Stevie would have a craic at me given the opportunity but at least his banter is good and he generally knows what he's talking about where football's concerned. (I'm at work so I'm limited to the length of this response). And for the record I disagree with the non-use of certain profanities, if it's in the dictionary it's fair game If we banned people for winding others up, there'd be no-one left. Where football's concerned, Stevie does know a hell of what he's talking about but his attitude to some others on here has been drawn into question in the past and he's been asked (informally) to tone it down on more than one occassion. However a comment I will extend to all members is that it is imperative that you ensure that the email address you list in your registration is a current address that you regularly monitor. This field can be updated at ANY time. If not, then important messages / announcements cannot be picked up and incidents such as this occur.
