New Feature

Was bored this morning so added a whole new batch of games for you lucky people... Happy playing!
5. Because the likes of people who've gone along to watch it probably haven't even heard of them let alone know who they played for... Ally McCoist is the bloke of 'Question of Sport' to most young uns I should imagine - they probably think you'd be taking the piss if you told them he played for Sunderland!

damn, it's addictive. 44265 There's a snooker version along the same sort of lines....
7. I'm with PL and Matt on this one. If they can overturn a straight red, why not a sending off for 2 yellows as well?? However in these cases, I think the decision can only be overturned if the second yellow was questionable. If you're walking around with a yellow card and you commit an offence that is worthy of a yellow, then you deserve to walk, regardless of whether the first was worthy. In the case of Beckham, the second card (i.e. the one which earned the red) was never a booking in a million years - I'd love to see how a FIFA delegation could sit and deem that was a clear-cut yellow card.

New game added people.... Should keep all you pool fans happy for a few days!
9. I'm the opposite. There's something which doesn't sit quite right with Firefox for me. Tried it a couple of times but the one nag I have with it is that you cannot minimise all the windows. Might sound daft to some but it's a feature of Opera 7 which I've grown used to. They don't have it in Opera 8 hence why I haven't upgraded. However, if anyone knows a way to minimise all the windows in Firefox - let me know and i'll be willing to have another crack at it!
10. Considering they have ripped off tab-browsing from Mozilla I wouldn't put too much faith in that. 44169 I stand to be corrected, but I'm pretty sure Opera first introduced that feature!
11. He's right like.... Had a sneak at the Beta release and its got all the plus points of Firefox & Opera rolled into it! How Microsoft get away with what is, let's face it, blatent plagurism is beyond me!
12. Did it interactively and got 57/70.
13. I've never owned a Mac in my life. Have owned a PC for about 12 years now... But I acknowledge that they are considerably better machines...
14. Worst post ever. Why even bother? 44033 Or "in my opinion" - come to think of it... Are you telling me I'm wrong and don't know my own opinion? The point I was making is that the PC was never designed with gaming in mind, a games console certainly was. Your claim was that a Mac was not up to the standard of a PC because of it's gaming capabilities. But you're making comparisons based upon something that neither machine were ever designed to do. I do wonder if you're knocking Macs simply because Gemmill has one mind!
15. What part of "I don't agree" did you not understand?
16. I don't agree. In my opinion, a mac has ALWAYS been superior to a PC, but like with Betamax over VHS, superior quality cannot compete with mainstream popularity. The time you point out (advent of Windows 95) was not when PCs became better, it's when they became more main stream. As for gaming, well if you want gaming, buy a games console - it's not the primary function of a PC. The difference is Apple don't pretend that their machine is a games machine.
17. Congratulations..... Does that mean you're now a 'GILF' in SLP's eyes?

Having been a student I've first-hand knowledge of what it's like.... 38 hours a day?? Think you need to start picking up a book amd learning something GF - obviously spent far too much time in the union bar! Expend more effort at Uni than you have done anywhere else?? Fuck me, you're in for one big shock... BTW - what are josticks?? 43700 The work I did at university was the most intellectually challenging I've ever faced. I worked throughout my time at university and I'm working full time now and it doesn't compare. It's tiring and hard work, just very different altogether. Certainly not more difficult, but more taxing (and not just the fact I have to pay tax now!) 43816 Depends what job you end up doing really though doesn't it (and this is by no means a slight on what you are doing, as I don't even know what that is). I know my first 3 years in my training contract to be a chartered accountant were fucking horrendous and the exams were on a whole different level of difficulty to anything I'd ever faced before - added to the fact that you were working full time whilst trying to study for the exams. University in comparison was an absolute doddle and as much as I get to piss around on here a bit during the day, I'd sharp swap lying in til lunchtime for what I do now. 43891 Absolutely my point.... The work I do is split between IT development and support. They send you on a course to learn a language for example and you feel pressured on your return to apply what you've learned somewhere otherwise you'll easily forget it. On top of this, you're expected to provide the same level of support to the business which ate up most of your time during the day as it was. I'm not saying it's the same for everyone, but as Gemmill said, University as an absolute doddle by comparison - you learned a module and once you got your mark, you moved onto the next one. To say that I 'piss around on the internet all day' is frankly insulting. Developing this place is part play and part work as I am now the support resource for the php stuff at work.
20. Are these prophecies coming from the same place as Australia winning the Rugby WC and the Ashes??
21. USB pens are as reliable as floppy drives, both should be used for one thing and one thing only - transporting data from one machine to another. Neither of them should ever be used to store back-ups or worse, the primary copy of your data.
22. Haven't you got a stack of pennies somewhere that you should be counting Scrooge?
23. Been there and tested that first thing this morning! Basically it'll report what your browser is from the browser that you're querying...

Incense sticks, Not that I burn em or owt.. 43707 How can Craig have been a student and not know what a joss stick is? 43708 I know what a joss stick is, but that is something you burn, not smoke.... I wanted to know what our 'university educated' GF thought a jostick was!
