1. when did he fake injury twice to get out of playing? The only thing we know he did was to do it once to get out of training to go and see the chairman. Is speculation suddenly becoming fact after the passafge of time? How handy. Tbh the way NUFC is being run and the man they do have in charge I would say we're a shit club with a shit manager. Will someone tell me how we're any different? 35823 Stop splitting hairs - that's one time too many... If he wanted to go and see the chairman, why did he have to do it during training?? Why not wait til afterwards like any other player in the squad would have done? Why? Because Craig Bellamy is an arrogant shit who thinks he's above everyone else...
2. The definitive 'hit the nail on the head' comment. Bellamy had an opportunity to let bygones be bygones and start again with a clean slate - something he clearly didn't want to do - personally I'm glad that a player with a chip that size on his shoulder is no longer drawing wages from the club I support. He was a good player - indeed. He was also a complete and utter twat who IMO, did not properly respect the club or the people who support it.
3. Does that include the likes of Marcelino, Maric, etc...? So it's OK to slag off our current payroll, but not those who've left??
4. If we still had Bellamy, we never would have had Owen - simple as that...
5. Bellamy or Owen - absolutely no contest! Bellamy left us to join a 'big' club remember! Good riddance!
6. Wouldn't want to embarrass you!
7. Not at all.... I was being specific. The point was made that £50m has been spent and we've not seen an improvement as a result.. I was merely saying that a high proportion of that cost has not yet had the opportunity together... Additionally, I don't believe we were a 'top 5 club' when he took over. I think we were very lucky to finish where we did the previous season and if those teams just below us had been on form, we wouldn't have done.
8. I wouldn't mind seeing Bridge in at Left Back 35705 Given Del Horno's liking for injuries, Chelsea will never sell Bridge in a million years unless they find a better LB themselves. They've already passed off their shite LB!
9. Owen or Shearer Man U or Chelsea Ireland or Scotland Club or Country CL Final or League Champions Everton or Blackburn Chelsea or Arsenal Celtic or Rangers Souness or New Manager

11. Other names which feel by the wayside were Darren Huckerby and Chris Holland. Both who at the time, we considered to be a bit special but, because we had no reserve league, they weren't fussed at staying... All this was lost due to the cutting up of the SJP pitch. Keegan wanted the reserves to play their matches at Gateshead International Stadium, the league wouldn't allow it. The irony of it all is that even now, the pitch has always been as shite at certain points of the season as it was back then.
12. Nope, I've read it again and I don't see how I've misread or misconstrued you. Please tell me how I have. 35479
13. Not at all, you've complete mis-read the point (or was that deliberate). That was in reference to the money he has spent....
14. Precisely SLP.... My over-riding point is that we didn't suddenly start becoming crap when Souness took over....it had started before then. For me, the rot started when we lost to Partizan Belgrade on penalties. All throughout that season there was piss-poor performances along the way. The home match against Wolves springs immediately to mind - we can't, however much we want to, blame that on Souness.... You point out that he has spent £50m, but most of that has been during this summer and he has yet been able to play all £50m worth in one team. If once he has for a few games, he's still not getting right, THEN you can criticise him for spending all that money without the desired return...
15. Aren't you a member over there as well??
16. Awesome as always, and would look even better with the background in grey or like your current sig. 35416 Yep, the sepia effect would look good on that one...
17. Sadly it won't be the same without Michael Staniforth as Timothy Claypole.... Isn't Mrs Popov (her in Corrie) one of the only surviving cast members??
18. Just found out that the guy from York who died worked for us. RIP
19. Possibly.... But then KK had no interest in Newcastle's reserves playing at SJP and promptly abandoned the reserve team meaning that all the decent kids who were on the fringe, pissed off to other clubs.... But then KK was god, wasn't he?? 35285 Deliver KK standard football, entertainment and results, get us into europe and finish 2nd in the premiership and Souness can happilly ignore the academy as long as he likes. Get results and produce the football we all love and you can get away with other things, its always been that way and always will. 35328 Only KK dissolved the youth structure at the club and then walked away.... Granted, he did produce attractive football, but I would have given that up for actual success and longetivity rather than the short term 'Entertainers' we had... Keegan planned for the short-term with a very expensive gamble. Had we won the league, the money would have rolled in, as would the world-class players to continue the trend. The money would also have paid for Alan Shearer rather than us having to sell quite a proportion of our assets to satisfy the bank. Hence why in the summer of 1997, Dalglish was left with a thinning squad, little money in the bank and sadly, some cruical injuries. Hence why we ended up signing the likes of Pearce, Barnes & Rush.... Whether you accept it was the gamble was the right thing to do at the time, what we all have to accept is that the particular gamble KK took sent us back years in terms of youth development.
20. If what he inherited was 'worthy' of finishing where you say it was, then why did Fat Fred find the need to sack SBR in the first place... I think you'll find the club was already in rapid decline before Souness took over....and the dressing room had been well and truly lost!
21. *cue the "but you're still a couple of months older than me and always will be" type of response
22. Possibly.... But then KK had no interest in Newcastle's reserves playing at SJP and promptly abandoned the reserve team meaning that all the decent kids who were on the fringe, pissed off to other clubs.... But then KK was god, wasn't he??
23. I'm not sure I understand what you mean. If you are talking about final league position, then I would say, considering the money he has spent, 4th place or higher must be achieved. I'll be amazed if that happens like. 35110 Substitute "amazed" for gutted. 35151 Gemmill, to be honest all that deserve is a FUCK OFF. I want the best for NUFC the same as everyone else, I just don't rate this manager like you do. You have now really, really pissed me off. 35176 You running yet Gemmill??
24. Surely you're not suggesting that he wants us to lose to 'spite' Souness, are you Scott??
