Id love to think that this squad have years playing together and hopefully by having a settled and well drilled unit, we can have more success this and next season (in that I mean qualifying for the Champions League yearly) but great sides lose big players and then go on and continue their success. If Bruno decides he wants to go to Spain next summer or the one after, then we've got to have the personnel in place to take over that position. Until then, we enjoy the football.

I think it was remarked that we were a younger bunch! Given that the majority of us must be over 40, some 50 or 60 (or older RIP Noelie) then maybe they were just a more respectful group of olds. I see Taco keeps dropping in and Dazzler (if he came from there) seems to have found his feet pretty quickly. I've been on here so long, I can't quite remember what happened back in the late 90s early 2000s. Wasn't TT resurrected when some jumped ship from NO?

Exactly this. He's young, he's got a lot of talent and he is not the finished article. Hes strong, has a decent passing range and doesn't seem phased by anything. He looks like an attacking midfielder but I could see him box to box as he is athletic. Id like to see him get a few more scoring opportunities or attempting them from the edge of the area.

As much as I want us always to win, I don't think we've necessarily been the better side. They've been dangerous on the break and have taken their chances well. We've passed it about a lot without much end product. A draw is probably the right result.

Our game really doesn't involve anyone picking up the ball outside the box and having a pop at goal. We seem to be intent on passing it through even when theres 10 men in front of the box.

Think Longstaff has been pushing up on that right hand side and he's ended up swapping over with Miggy. Time and again I keep seeing Almiron trying to make the run or make himself available in good space and the player with the ball chooses to go elsewhere. Isak has been much more involved on the left. Anderson would probably be better tucked up behind someone up top for which we haven't got the luxury of.

I don't think we've been that bad. We seem to be lacking a ball carrier though, we're trying to pass it through and getting caught out on the turn over.

I wouldnt quite go that far, but it's a decent little high street with plenty pubs and mostly occupied units which can't be said for most high streets.

The term smoggy covers most of Teesside as it's from all of the shite that used to be spewed from the likes the steel works at Redcar and ICI Wilton in Boro and ICI Billingham (which is in Stockton on Tees).

Agreed, as long as Southgate is there, he'll stick to his regulars and take a token Newcastle player just to sit on the sidelines.

I think Eddie's reigned him in as he was doing that at the start of the season, which seemed odd when Miggy is used to receiving and running down that right side and Gordon and Trips weren't getting it right.

Need Anderson and Murphy to come on now and get their own goals.
