Funny and true!

Squad is definitley good enough to win it, with the mix of youth, experience and players at their best. With Rooney and Owen fully fit was well within their capablities to win, if one or both are struglling the chances are of course reduced. But as with people above, you'd be more confident with a better management team, but even this one can win it.

Bearing that in mind, you can see why some people aren't over the moon about the prospect of Henry staying. 138556 Yeah, we're goign to be behind them, lets ensure its even further behind them. Because J69 can go on all he likes about how they can replace him with another striker who'll do the same, but thats a collosal assupmtion. Firstly there are very few players out there the equal of Henry and they are unlikely to go to arse, their are bigger and better clubs in europe. Secondly any new player would have to settle in the prem and like Henry himself may not be amazing in their first season, or like some foreign players may never settle in the prem. And thirdly, Henry isn't just a striker who scores x no. of goals he is everything to their team and his presence at the club makes a massive difference. So all said it would make NUFC's (the team we actually support, not arsenal) job of attempting to chase arsenal a damn site easier if there was no Henry there. And NUFC is what matters to me, not being able to say the premiership has some great players in it.
-
We aren't likely to have that much money and our squad is already to thin for the premiership + domestic cups and (hopefully) playing in the uefa cup. So its not unlikely Roeder would keep Chopra on as he'll know he has enough players to bring in already without replacing even more, even if Chopra isn't going to be premiership standard. However it could also be a case of Roeder showing once again the difference between an intelligent manager and a fuckwitt like Souness. Where Souness childishly and selfishly, (to the detriment of NUFC and thus its supporters) hammered Bellamy and Robert for an age before he sold them ensuring rock bottom prices, Roeder may indeed just be attempting to make Chopra seem a decent investment for clubs looking to buy.

And why would Henry staying be fantastic? For NUFC it will be an absolute disaster. We need to grab 4th place - Arsenal will be a lot more difficult to catch with Henry weighing in with 20+ goals next season. Yes, yes he's good to watch but so fuck - do you want CL or not? 138277 What UM said teebeeaitch. 138307 Disregarding any implications for NUFC, I'm struggling to think how anyone but an Arsenal fan could regard it as fantastic news? Personally, I reckon he's made a mistake (if true), but then it happens to the best (e.g. Shearer). 138321 All correct. The "oh its great to see the best players in the prem" atitude gets you nowhere. I don't give a shit how good he is to watch, he isn't doing it for NUFC but could well be doing it against us so why should i be pleased. Great for arse fans, not in anyway great for anyone who wants to rival them or at least be close to competing with them. And i agree with Renton if Henry wants CL trophies he's made a mistake. In all the time he's been here they haven't even been close, bar this years exception and i don't see them winning it in the future either. And in the prem i don't see them stopping Chelsea. Thats not to say he's wrong to stay, only wrong if he thinks they'll be winning everything. I think its admirable if a player does stay because he loves the club/fans and thinks he owes the manager who helped launch his career at the very top and puts loyalty before other considerations.

Can you imagine being locked in a house with those fuckers? 138196 Armed with an uzi, yes, without one...i'm trying desperately not to!

And now we have a reflection of pretty much most of the current generation in one neat package!

A cockney who's an arrogant wanker, theres a shocker!!!

Arse and manu can never handle what happens in europe where they are mostly handled fairly 50:50 by foreign refs who don't give a flyign fuck who they are. Whereas in the prem they are used to a bunch of usless fawning tossers giving them practically every decision, and so they can't take it. Needless to say the two of them have completely dominated the premiership for god knows how long but currently have 1 CL between them in this era. Both are/were great teams, big difference though when you don't have the refs helping you.

First one with big breasts appears, tho i suspect the house already has plenty of tits in it!

Certainly advice Gary Glitter will wish he'd taken!

If a foreign manager had been appointed...
Papa Lazaru replied to Lazarus's topic in Newcastle Forum
I hard that too somewhere, at the time spurs where the only team that had enough players. 138129 its 4 homegrown players in a squad of 25 or something innit? a team could still field a foreign first 11. 138132 I think it's a bit more forceful than that, teams will actually have to field so many academy players. 138137 Arsenal, manu, chelsea will just field players stolen from other people's academies then! -
Well after about 20 seconds of talking, the first one has already got on my tits and seems like a complete deluded moron, good start!
-
Its classic arsenal tbh, whinging and moaning about percieved slights against them whilst as ever ignoring the cheating by their own player to set up their goal. And some of Henry's bitter whinging has to be down to the fact he pissed away 2 chances in the biggest match of the season when he should have done far better and he knows it.
-
Its ironic that Souness is in there and that Bellamy should be exactly the sort of player he'd like, gives everything, bit of fire in him and also talented, but because souness is a moron and a child he kicked him out. You can now await posts saying that you are comparing Bellamy to the likes of maradonna and that he isn't in the same league, even though you know that and are merely making a particular point!

Joey Scarbury - "Believe It Or Not" (or theme song for the TV show "Greatest American Hero") 137609 Otherwise known as George's Answerphone. "Believe it or not George isn't at home, Please leave a messaaaage at the beep. I must be out, or I'd pick up the phone, Where could I beeeee? Believe it or not, I'm not home" 137722 I may have to download it now to hear the original tune that inspired the great George Costanza's answerphone message!

what were they ? 137709 basically accused the ref of being in Barcas pocket and said he should learn to dive, but he wouldnt because he's not a woman. Im sure Pires was looking a bit sheepish off camera 137711 That is quite funny, but as you've pointed out, only say something like that when your teammates are beyond question and as he plays with Pires and Ashley Cole he's pushing his luck!

If its about a paedo i suggest Craig doesn't mention it on a public forum

Chairman Responds To Latest LMA Comments
Papa Lazaru replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
I think Shepherd should maybe have just stuck to a defence of Roeder which was right, and made perhaps one comment about the LMA (my choice would be to point out that they're bitter at the prem showing them to be of no importance whatsoever when push comes to shove) and leave it at that! What Fred does need to do is stop shoe horning the word geordie into every bastard conversation he has as if it matters in any of them! -
Has to be said, as has happened before in the very big situation when it really counts Henry hasn't delivered. He missed that chance at the beginning to make it 1-0 with 11 men then the chance to make it 2-0 and probably kill the game. Still one of the best players in the world mind!
-
Its all going tits up now! But Barca are just too good for 10 men to hold out where 11 would have struggled!
-
Thats a cheeky finish at the near post!

Just as Pleat informs us the "sight is in end" barca score!
