Usual stuff from Oliver, mind you Allardyce and Curbishley can stick their opinions up their arse and the pro-liscence is a fucking joke. A course that serves no other real purpose other than make people pay uefa/fifa to get it, and that everyone passes as long as they go for enough hours, actually being tested and learning anything is irrelivant to passing. And from what little i've read about it, it sounds like it doesn't even concern football matters, coaching and fitness etc. but more "man management" and finace type stuff.
-
Yeah, that's why he sent Babayaro off. Oh wait....... 133589 Oh wait, he didn't send him off because it wasn't a red card, because he wasn;'t last man. But don't let the facts get in the way of another amazing post. And if you don't think he was biassed explain to us how Gallas' assault on Zog wasn't even a yellow, how 3 times he allowed Chelsea players to surround him and booked none of them, how 3 times he stood and told their wall where to stand and then allowed them to ignore him, etc. etc.
-
That not putting the ball out thing summed up one of the reasons we will never win anything, we are not and have never been cynical enough. Chelsea had about 3 chances to put the ball out for their "injured" team mate, but correctly said bollocks to that we want the goal and went for it. Then after watching them ignore their team mate 3 times we got the ball and kicked the fucker out for them!!! I'd have fined babayaro his weeks wages for doing that, it was embrassing. Mind you the very second we got the ball if we had attacked Riley would have blown his whistle because he's such a twat!
-
Yeah todays one was clearly ironic, or dear god i hope it was! They're the champions and had started to rip through us in attack and it was only 1-0 it had to be ironic! But mostly its just shite!

I was thinking about this the other day. In the last two seasons, we've probably had more Geordies and Englishmen playing for the first team than in in the previous ten seasons combined. We've also gone from playing in the Champions League to being a mid-table team. Is there a correlation there? I'm not saying there is, but it just goes to show that people who blame everything on 'expensive foreigners' and 'disinterested mercenaries' are wrong. 133062 Arsenal haven't done too badly over the years, have they? To be honest we've got nothing on countries like France when it comes to talent nuturing/training whatever. When Arsene Wenger copped all the flak from Pardew for not playing Englishmen I could see his point. Why should he play English players, when he can play foreigners that are twice as good at half the price? Btw, despite evidence to the contrary today, I am not a closet Gooner. With a packet of sweets and a cheesy smile.... 133127 We've always been behind foreign countries in bringing through technically gifted young players. But its no surprise when you see some of the morons in charge of little kids teams running them into the ground and getting them to play 11-a-side and hump the ball into the air left right and centre! One thing i've always wished we had at this club is Wenger's scouting network, he picks up the best young players and also he has the ability to get what will become world class players on the cheap before others do.

I've got an exam coming up, I'll do all sorts to avoid revision. Anyway, I wonder how many of those 'I was there' T-shirts will end up on eBay? They should probably have 'I bought this on the internet' on the back. 133118 Ah revision, it all makes sense now! I'd rather watch a loop of Wenger saying he "Didn't see the incident" whilst listening to various commentators wet their pants over every single Henry goal than do revision!

Robson: I wanted Carrick instead of Butt
Papa Lazaru replied to Dr Kenneth Noisewater's topic in Newcastle Forum
To be fair, you're right and it probably is a case of hindsight (HINDSIGHT!! OMG11!1). A lot of people had had enough of our 'buy young and English' policy - and Butt was a proven senior international at the time we bought him. Having said that, it still goes to show that Shepherd buys players over his manager's head, just like he did with Kluivert, Viana, Carr and probably many more. 133103 To be fair this is a case of him sayign you can't have £3m for Carrick and then Bobby settling for the cheaper player available because he knew we needed a player in that position, rather than Fat Fred buying a player he didn't want. But then i'm biassed as i rarely if ever beileve stuff about the chairman buying players without the managers knowledge or consent because i don't think Bobby would put up with it for long, he is his own man and doesn't need it. 133109 Of course the manager has to agree to the transfer eventually, but it should never even come to that - all the chairman should do is say to the manager "look, you've got X amount of money to spend this summer", and nothing more. If I were Robson and Shepherd told me that he wouldn't pay £3m for Carrick, but that he'd give me permission to buy Butt for £2.5, I'd rather want Butt than end up with no-one. But again, it should never even come to that. The chairman's job is to provide the funds for the manager, he simply shouldn't have anything to say about which players he wants to see at the club. 133116 God i'd forgotten we actually paid £2.5m for Butt plus his obscene wages!!! If we can shift him for £1m or even £0.5 and trim him from the wage bill it'll be good news! -
The DJ is a tit though, we know that. He basically plays crap music or the most patronising of music ie anything that is football/nufc or geordie related as he thinks all toon fans will lap that up and have no taste in music whatsoever. And of couyrse at every single match he plays the bloody new radicals song at least once and has done since it came out!!! Though strangely today i'm sure i heard BB King, i definately heard ACDC and the Stones so he may be a tit but somehow somebody has got some decent records in amongst his usual shite. 133065 I've missed your dj-related rants. Agree though. 133099 I think he beat me into submission, helped by Souness giving me so very many other reasons to be pissed off that shite music was way down the list! 133104 Good to know we're back to normal then. Still on for the lynch mob? We've given the wanker farrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr too much time. 133107 Yeah, Souness has saved him for long enough, next season (or even the intertoto match) the first time the intro to the new radicals or any footy/nufc/geordie related song comes on he gets dragged out and hanged!
-
I never deny i hate arsenal, but it doesn't have any baring of my criticism of them or things to do with them. And there are plenty of people who don't hate them but can see the amount of wanking over them and everything henry does goes way over the top. I could see you wanting to watch some programme dedicated to showing some of their undoubtedly great football if you really admire them that much, but yes i'm truly surprised you want to sit and watch a bunch of arse fans, celebs and the like havign a big love in (seemingly hosted by Lofty from Eastenders!) with no real footy action on show. If it was wigan etc i wouldn't have likely kicked up as much fuss because i'd think fair enough, somebody is finall getting out of the backside of manu/arse/chelski and giving some coverage to a lesser team, but i still wouldn't watch it. As for the dvd i wouldn't expect other fans to have it or have even watched the programme but then i said i had no problem with the bbc doing a documentary on the arse stadium situation.

Undoubtedly happened! But i'd expect the people at the club to do better, and to be fair it sounds as if Bobby had, but Fat Fred didn't. I personally wasn't sure if Carrick was going to be anything amazing, but he was highly rated in the game just like say Lampard and i'm not paid good money by the club or taking large dividends out of it so i'm allowed to make the mistake, Fat Fred isnt! Mind you i wasn't convinced about Butt either and would have taken Carrick for £3m as he was young, had potential and (even though i'm not in the Anal Oliver geordie obsessed gang) i think its good to have the odd geordie as long as they're good enough. -
With you it would be: "5 minutes in, boredom set in" 130643 5 ? you under estimate me ! 130644 After a few days, you'd run out of space and drown. Then they'd have to tip the hardened spunk cube out of the box. 133044 So Jimbo could be the first man do die of being embalmed in his own jizz!

Or forsight to be fair, to see that a young, highly rated Carrick for £3m is better than an ageing Butt for whatever we paid! -

Theres no way SBR based his tranfer policy on what Keiron Dyer said and with Butt he's an england international and manu player, Bobby will have seen enough of him over the years to know what he thought of him as a player! But people always like a chance to blame Dyer for something or other! 133089 Well in his book Bobby was still unsure to buy Butt but asked Dyer on an opinion of him which appeared to seal the dea.... and too right i wanna blame Dyer for everything! 133090 I suppose i can see that, you do hear players saying to managers that somebody was "The best player i've faced" or stuff like that. You'd still be worried if Bobby was basing transfers on what Dyer or most other young players said though! -

Hmm, Carrick or Butt its a tough one isn't it, i mean who here could say which way they'd go with that dilema!!! FFS if thats true then Shepherd wants a serious kicking, and if he was available for £3m then its even more ludicrous. Whats worse is he's a geordie so Fat Fred should have been shooting his load at the idea of signing him! -
Player of the Year Shay Given Most Imporoved Player Not sure Young Player of the Year Charles N'Zogbia Goal of the Season Probably Nobby with outside of the foot + move that lead to it Highlight of the Season Souness finally dumped out on his arse Low point of the Season So many games under Souness where i wanted to kill myself...or him Funniest Incident/Comment this Season Board's Performance (out of 10) 2/10 didn't sack souness before this season kicked off, kept him on way after even a moron would have Which Premiership Ground has the worst atmosphere? Most are shite except for promoted teams us included alot of the time How do you feel compared to last season a: Less Happy b: Happier c: The Same B about the same What made you smile this season? Souness getting sacked What made you angry this season? Souness not being sacked sooner Who would be the last Newcastle player you'd sell? Bellamy...oh no wait a minute we already have! Who should we buy in the summer (realistically)? Not specific names, just 2 strikers, a CB and a LB for sure Unsung hero at the club? Bramble, much better for a long time now than he'll ever get credit for Would you (ideally) like to see Alan Shearer become manager of Newcastle one day? Rather he goes elsewhere and shows he's a good boss first, then yes Souness' performance (out of 10) -100 Roeder's performance (out of 10) 8.5 Was it good for NUFC that Alan Shearer stayed on another season as a player? as we had next to no strikers it was, only just! Where would you lay the blame for this season's (pre-Roeder) fiasco? a: Souness b: The Board c: Both C Fat Fred hired and kept on souness he's to blame and souness was a twat so he's to blame Is Roeder the right man for the Newcastle job, regardless of who he has working alongside of him? There are better but Fat Fred is to blinkered and xenophobic to get them If Glenn Roeder is part of the management team, is it vital he has someone experienced working alongside, regardless of whether it's over him or below him? No, if he's boss he's capable without experience alongside him but it won't do any harm i suppose Do you think Michael Owen will be a Newcastle player next season? Yes and i always have Should Newcastle keep James Milner? Yes, but we'll sell him on the cheap as we always do When Craig Bellamy left Newcastle did you think it was best for the club? Not in any way at all and it has been proven time and again it wasn't and never will be Looking back now, was it the right decision? No it was a decision made by an absolute prick backed by people who shouldn't have backed him Should Newcastle try and sign Craig Bellamy again? Yes, but we won't be getting him Next season do you expect Newcastle United to be competing for a: The Title b: Top 4 c: Top 6 d: Top 10 expect top 6, think we should be aiming for top 4 Are you pleased Sunderland were relegated and humiliated? Yes, i love derby matches but this season has been hilarious! 133047

Same here. Lost is on 4. 132978 Having just got back in from the match, I'd like to find out more about what's been going on on the final day of the season - not be bored senseless by the Highbury nonesense. Lost is shit too. 132991 Thats very naive of you, to think that anything is more important than having a collective orgasm over Arsenal and a group of celeb fans wanking over the team and ground! (what a hideous image that is!) As you say theres a whole day of football to be discussing and debating not wasting time stuck up their backside. 132995 Yeah, but it's not like there's been much to talk about today, has there? The league was won yonks ago, the relegated teams were decided last week, the only thing left was who qualified for what European competition. Arsenal's last game at Highbury is the biggest story of the day really. 133003 Its big to one single set of fans and can you imagine it happening if the ground closing was say Wigan or Blackburn's ground??? 133006 No, but then again Wigan and Blackburn aren't one of the biggest clubs in the country, in terms of sucess, history, fanbase etc. Less people would want to watch it. We had a documentary about our manager (the Bobby Robson thing) a few years ago, which I thoroughly enjoyed. I don't recall fans of other clubs moaning that their manager wasn't worthy of a TV programme. 133020 Different scenario altogether with Robson - he was also a former England manager and enjoyed success with other English clubs both as a player and manager. 133022 Beat me to it! And it was a one of programme not a rolling sports news channel dedicated to all teams and their fans (as well as countless other sports). I'd have no problem whatsoever with BBC doing a documentary on the Arse and their stadium. And i don't see how less people would watch the Wigan/Blackburn equivalent. As it stand only arse fans could possibly sit thrugh a cringeworthy arsekissing wankfest to their team, no self respecting fan of any other club is going to give a shite. The same applies to Wigan/Blackburn, only for their fans and nobody else. Plus most of the arse fans would still be at the fecking ground and won't be watching TV!!! 133066 Is that tongue in cheek? 133074 I thought they were all at the ground, what little i saw of it there seemed to be a big crowd there???

Anyone fancy regularly scaring the shit out of him with sudden shocks to test out if his hearts strong!!! And to add to the "qualites" of the man i'd say he has a better command of uttering the most spectacular bullshit possible than most people and he's so used to spewing this crap out thta he even believes some of it himself!
