Somebody could pretend to be a real pimp actually working in the area, tell him you know what he looks like and where he lives (send him the photos) and tell him you are going to send round a few lads to kick the living shit out of him...unless he deposits some cash where you tell him (perhaps a Harry Potter dvd in Smiths!) Great thread btw, was amazed people actually followed it through as well, thought it was just going to be a laugh but that nobody would be arsed to actually go down there!

Would rather the smogs lost and agree with Gemmill that the commentator was involved in a one man jizzfest but they did deserve to go through. What the hell Basel were doing i will never understand. They're a good, intelligent footballing side who decided part the way through to stop doing what they were good at, drop 20-30 yards too deep and ask the smogs to batter them, absolutely embarassing. And when the centreback stupidly got himself sent off it took Gross way too long to bring another CB on from the bench. Still can't see the smogs winning it, they blow hot and cold and as Basel showed for alot of the two legs any decent side can score past them and bea them as long as they don't self destruct like Basel did.

Off the ball he hit Bellamy, Bellamy hit him back, he hit the deck like the cheating pices of shite he is and Bellamy got a red. Should both have walked for the incident with Twaterazzi getting an extra few matches banned for being a complete and utter twat which he shows in every game you see him play. Inter's whole gameplan revolved around cheating, diving, feigning injury and kicking the shit out of our players whilst devoting half their time to getting Bellamy and Shearer sent off. They did get Bellamy off and in a round about way got Big Al as well. Their team and fans are invariably pricks and i'm happy their out on their arse.

Not to Gem. He's the best pisser there is. Nothing can stop him finding his target. 114330 In fact he became so perfect at it, that it retracted and he's turned into a woman

No, but you can make adjustments, I never have a problem with it, although I do sit half the time anyway... I do however have a problem with "splash-back" from urinals, so I won't use them. 114307 Please tell me you only do your sitting when you need a shit. I don't have a problem with this. I don't piss on the floor and I don't piss on the seat. If for some reason I do piss on the seat (never the floor ), I wipe the fucker off with bog roll and flush it down the bog, so no one's any the wiser. 114311 Wasn't there something in Curb Your enthusiasm about sitting down to have a piss, around the same time he got his nob/balls bitten by a dog!!! Can't say i piss on the seat as i always put it up before having a piss, but if i did then i'd get soem bogroll and clean it up. But as others have said occasionally it just doesn't seem to go where you think its going and its impossible to react in time!

The Rome one was down to italian fans and was an absolute disgrace, but other than that the smogs do seem to be getting into a suspiciously large number of incidents on their euro travels for it to never be their fault. Especially when you consider in all the games the toon have played in europe we have very rarely seen any trouble, and have started practically none.

Was anyone watching before kick off? There was a massive banner stretching along one end of the ground which included the words "Beat that fucking Boro" and very much unlike the BBC et al, the Swiss camera man not only showed it, but focussed on it for a good while, then zoomed in and out of it, then went away only to return more than once and zoom in on it again!!!

Why someone likes comedy is a tough nut to crack, even the experts don't agree, but you can still see how clever someone's been in putting it together. Larry David's brilliant but as of yet I've seen nothing particularly clever in Seinfeld. 111969 Its true, it can often be hard to understand why somebody likes something you don't and vice versa. As for the "experts" i'm not sure who they would be, but in this case if you classed commedians and comedy writers as the experts then Seinfeld would be voted no. 1 or very close as they all love it.

Good shout, well funny. 111949 Excellent show in its second series, ripping the piss out of shows and people who really do deserve it, with the odd surreal bit of Harry's humour thrown in. 111956 I'm glad it moved on and became a bit more offensive. Some of his recent bits ripping the piss out of Derek Ocorah have had me rolling on the floor howling. And i'm sure Emmerdale write the script with TV Burp in mind aswell. 111964 Thats why i was really surpised when derek appeared in the studio in the last episode this week!

I did but wasn't that impressed. It was the usual thing of seing a british drama, and comparing it to the vastly superior US equivalent (Oz) and there was a massive difference.

Saw one episode and it scared the shit out of me. Decided I was better off watching Prisoner Cell Block H. 111921 By tv standards it was as much as you'd likely ever see. I remember one plot where two characters were sneaking very finely ground up glass into another blokes food so that slowly his insides were being cut to bits but he wouldn't notice at first leaving him totally fucked up inside...lovely! Plus plenty of beating, murders and arse raping, neo nazis, skinheads, psychos and the like!
-
I used to watch that way back when it started on ch4 very late at night and nobody else seem to bother with it! Certainly had its share of brutality and violence for a tv series, and well worth watching.

Maybe the yanks couldn't tell the difference. I never really got into Frasier, don't know why. If anything, I preferred cheers. Oh, and I used to fancy Kirsty Alley on Cheers. Have you seen the state of her now? God's son cried profusely! 111876 I loved Cheers as well, always watch the repeats of it when ch4 has them on. Kirsty Ally actually has a series called something like "Fat Actress" where she takes the piss out of being a really fat actress who used to be glamourous and trying to get roles now. Though i haven't seen it so no idea if its any good or not!

You should see the extras on the "extras" dvd for what Ricky does to a bloke who works on the series then!
-
I think we've got another reader of Seinfeld books here lads. I was spot on with my humour for nerds claim. 111848 Never heard of this book, but i do have my "nerd" credentials from watching all of the extras and commentaries on the dvds

That's Frasier and she's a Manc, at least she's meant to be. 111843 Indeed, (though the actress was from further south in England) and she was a major character pretty much from day one. The only mistake they made in the entire run of Fraiser (other than not ending 2 series earlier) was having Daphne's family made up of: Daphne - manchester accent Mother - more upper class accent Father - i can't remember but different again then one brother was a yank doing a hideous cockney accent, another brother was Richard E Grant and another one was Robbie Coltraine!!! But that aside the programme was one of the most intelligently written and acted comedies around.
-
I was surpised as well, but you do find there are alot of people who for whatever reasons just don't rate US sitcoms as highly as UK sitcoms. But conversely (as shown in a recent TV programme) when you ask british comedians, writers and actors for there favourite alltime sitcoms the very top ones included: Seinfled, Frasier, Curb, Larry Sanders and the like. And you're right, the writers/cast of Seinfeld have said they're not supposed to be likeable people!!!

Helen Hunt was in it. And Paul Reiser. It was REALLY crap. Cath likes Will and Grace like. 111814 Wor lass likes Will an Grace I know the show you mean now with Helen Hunt in it and I agree. Anyone remember 'Herman's Head' btw? 111816 I do! Think it used to be on late at night, maybe on ITV rather than the usual channel 4. It wasn't that great either, though i seem to remember watching the whole series!
-
I don't hate them, but if it wasn't for George and Kramer I wouldn't be a fan. Saying that though, Frank and Estelle are best things in it. They should make a spin off called The Costanza's. "SERENITY NOW!" 111767 They were perfectly chosen as you can't imagine those 3 not being actually related and when they're all together it works so well!

Wait for him to bounce back with a few good perfomances and every headline will be "Peter the Great"

I used to love Frasier, haven't watched it in ages. Thought Elaine was pretty repulsive in Seinfeld but found her much more appealing when she did that Curb your Enthusiasm cameo (the actress, obviously). 111757 Frasier was another great sitcom with fantastic writing and performances up until the last couple of series when it went of the boil. Re Elaine, the actress herself has said something along the lines of when anyone came up to her and said they loved Elaine or wanted to go out with her that she asked if they were insane!
-
in a similar way to how you view Frasier?
-
I'm not a fan of Jerry or Elaine, but George and Kramer are sitcom legends. The first series was comparatively shit. The writing gets better and better up to series 5, but The Contest is the peak. It's about who can abstain from onanism the longest. 111750 You don't like 50% of the main cast, its a wonder you're a fan! I like all of them and the way they interact with each other and the other characters in the series. But you're right George is a sitcom legend of the highest order.

Seinfeld was a great sitcom, with the small stand up segments being the weakest part, but they were only a tiny part of it. It was definitely a series that grew over time, the early episodes are not as good as what followed as the writers and characters progressed it just got better and better.
