  1. One of the first live matches I can remember watching, down to that moment.
  2. Stayed in one in Barcelona for a week. £12 a night just off the Ramblas, cheap train tickets from where I was living in Spain. One of the cheapest holidays I've had and there was nothing wrong at all with the room or showers.
  3. Excellent point. Although Beardsley scored and made just as many if not more than Bellamy still. Ginola doesn't rival Robert in that sense.
  4. I think we'd have still challenged Man U in 1995-6 season with or without Ginola. I don't think we'd have finished anywhere near 4th without Robert in 2002.
  5. "It's more difficult to compare the two because Ginola was playing for PSG when we were one of the best teams in Europe, whereas Robert was at PSG at a time when we were weaker and not a European force. To compare them, we must also consider their team mates... Now, my choice would just edge towards Ginola". A lot of parallels between their times at PSG & Newcastle by the looks of that response.
  6. http://forum.psg.fr/fr/supporters/forumv2/...?messid=8245154 So far after two responses... "Ginola without a doubt! What a player!!!" and... "Ginola, easily!!!"
  7. I might actually put this question to PSG fans on their forum. Would be interesting to see their opinions of the two.
  8. Mainly because Ginola played in the better side and media darlings Spurs. I don't think he'd have got anywhere near the hype had he played in the 2001-3 side.
  9. When Ginola went missing, he'd produce nothing, even when Robert went missing (which was 90% of the time), he'd still come up with something.
  10. Put Robert in the Keegan side and we'd have won the title.
  11. And Robbie Elliott was better in the 96/97 season.
  12. 1. Just had Sunday lunch...mmmm 2. Just paid my deposit to do a 4-week language course in Bordeaux next summer. 3. Just watched Extras which I taped on Thursday night. 4. Thought of a title for my Final Year Spanish dissertation. 5. Getting ready for work.
  13. Merchant was on Soccer AM once last season and he was hilarious. Didn't have a clue about anything, didn't follow a club (so they picked one at random for him...Grimsby), and they when it came to the end part where the guest have a go at kicking the ball through the hole, he said, "so you want me, to kick the ball into that hole, yeah?", started running towards the ball as if to kick it....and continued to run past the ball and left the car park.
  14. Looking as if I'll be coming to Bordeaux for a few months next summer on the Da Vinci Programme.
  15. Yep. I wonder at what moment he decided, "Aha, that's what I'll do today. I'll attach hooks to my eyes and pull a car a few paces". Bonkers.
  16. Hearts = 2nd in Scottish Premier League Real Jaén = 6th in Spanish Division B - Group 4 St-Etienne = 8th in French Premier League
  17. What could they have done though if they had spotted the camera? Taken him round the back, killed him, and thrown him in the river?
  18. I knew I recognised that Harrison bloke from somewhere!! Anyone got the old Black & White videos? He was on one, with Philippe Albert helping him settle in the area as they were once team-mates at Charleroi.
  19. Nowt will happen, just like nowt happened after the Arsenal/Beveren programme from a few months ago.
  20. Ok, I suppose Shearer's arguable, but name me one other. Tino Asprilla.
  21. Also loved the line leading upto that. "Newcastle have already strengthened their defence this week with the sale of Jean-Alain Boumsong".
  22. Jeff Stelling seemed pretty certain there that he's coming to Newcastle.
  23. Given Dawson Terry Carragher S. Taylor Parker Lampard Arteta Henry © Berbatov McCarthy Crossley Sommeil Barry Tonge
