Funny, because whenever I see Curtis Davies I think exactly the same thing, yet certain people on here want him.
-
Maybe he's leading a consortium where he'll gather as many world leaders as possible to take over the club. He could be to us what Berlusconi is to Milan.
-
Pretty sure he was arrested for firing a gun at a wedding too.
-
Haha, now there's a player I'd love to know what he's upto now.
-
When Oba scores a good goal against Sheff Wed in the future, I'm sure he'll be dug up from somewhere.
-
Franz Carr is also on the Chronicle website commenting on Oba. Blatently angling for some sort of behind the scenes job here.
-
Why? He was obviously contacted by the Chronicle and just answered their questions. I doubt he's the type of bloke to ring them and go, "oooo, Mr Oliver, let me comment about Oba". Pathetic tbh.
-
Nice to see he still carries an interest in us.
-
Ar yeah, I saw him in Blu Bambu about 2 years ago...with the Geordie Dancer.
-
Just as well you're not on N-O, Janu. You'd be given a 15-week suspension for that.
-
Steve Watson in KFC next to the Haymarket about 12 years ago, Steven Taylor outside the Gate, and N'Zogbia in Players' Bar inside The Gate a couple of months ago. Even spoke to the Zog in French saying, "you're better than Duff", to which he simply replied, "I know".
-
Why did you make the Arsenal reference? Or do you honestly believe we'll win the last 9 league games in a row to better that.
-
Nice one. If he keeps scoring (and maybe even keep improving his overall display) I will not begrudging this windfall to you. Would you begrudge me a big windfall if I stuck a tenner on Baros?
-
I've noticed the "Shepherd Out" protests have quietened lately. I know that doesn't mean all of a sudden people want him to stay, but it does go to show that when things are going well on the pitch, it doesn't really matter who's running the club off it.
-
Now this is a player I would have. Much better than Paul Konf*ckingchesky.
-
True. Was cast-off even by Charlton a couple of years ago, wasn't good enough to earn a Spurs deal when he was on loan there a few years back at a time Spurs were poor themselves, and West Ham are cack now. Seriously not much (if at all) better than Babayaro.
-
Taxi for lualualualualua.
-
Seriously? I've never seen the fuss. If he played for someone like Bolton or Blackburn, no way would he get all the attention he's had. Very average imo.
-
£3.5m for Carew is an absolute snip.
-
Hopefully when Owen returns to training he'll learn some things from him about movement.
-
Please God, no.
-
Right, here's the plan. I'm going to get a load of white & black sheets of paper, arrange them in an orderly fashion in the Gallowgate, so for the first 6 minutes of the match against Brum on Wednesday live on BBC, we can demand justice for the Toon 11.

If that's what we can do to them with our kids, God help them when Arsenal's play them in the Carling Cup Semis. -

Are you on the wind-up Stevie? Sunderland are no longer rivals, other than in geography. Spurs on the otherhand are a genuine footballing rival, who think they're God's gift to football just because of 2 half decent seasons, and we've walloped them twice in a month. -
One thing we can thank our last three managers for, is great strength in depth in the midfield and up-front. To score 5 goals against Man U & Spurs without 6 forward players, 4 who would probably start, is excellent.
