1. I'm sure if you asked Kuyt who he'd sooner go to, Liverpool or us, he'd say exactly the same thing. If Liverpool didn't want him, he'd settle with us. Looking positive though, IMO we'd have Given, Boumsong, Emre, Parker, Luque & Owen/Kuyt who could push for a place in the top 3 sides. Add solid players like Carr, Taylor & Dyer to that, and we have a very good side.
2. This is why I'd sooner have Owen. Kuyt is just as likely to be another Kezman than another van Nistelrooy. At least with Owen you know what you're getting.
3. Imagine a forward 4 of Keegan, Dalglish, Gullit & Ardiles with Souness in the holding-role (in their primes obviously). *drools*
4. Have to admit, for us to get Boumsong, Emre, Parker & Luque for around the same price as Essien is excellent business.

6. No, he fought in the Falklands War in 1979.
7. Robson was in charge for 30 months before we finished top half under him, let's see if Souness can be anywhere near that position after 30 months.
8. Given, Hughes, Bernard, O'Brien, Woodgate, Solano, Robert, Dyer, Speed, Bellamy & Shearer. or, Given, Carr, Babayaro, Taylor, Boumsong, Dyer, Luque, Emre, Parker, (new striker) & Shearer. For me, barring the full-backs and Shearer of 2003 being much better than in 2005, the current best XI is a lot better than that side IMO.
9. But no-one has ever used a player's noun. "Ketsbaia's Mobile", "Asprilla's Foreskin". Ketsbaia leaves, then suddenly Asprilla's foreskin pops up. (pun unashamedly intended)
10. I still never saw you and Asprilla online at the same time. I also noticed a number a times your "last actives" in your profiles were very similar times (ie, the time to post with one and log-off before logging-in with the other).
11. Not quite a Press Conference, but there was a massive interview between Graeme Souness and SSN's David Craig at St James' Park concerning Luque and Owen this afternoon at 3.30pm. Give yourself a pat on the back.
12. I was so confident about the deal that I bought the CD (for 1 Euro) via ebay on Monday which hopefully has been delivered in meantime. 19458 You were right with this one Isegrim. Now, do I put £5 on him finishing Premier League top scorer this season?
13. It was the exact same thing with Pandiani at Brum. One minute Bruce says they're close to signing him, the next day Karren Brady says they couldn't agree a fee, a few days later he signed for the original offer. The Depor chairman makes Shepherd look like Steve Gibson.
14. Dutch people write this as well. Excellent. 19443 Class.
15. I think that's a case of Scousers clutching at straws.
16. I've been singing that at work to some strange looks.
17. Mick Martin has said on Talksport that a close friend has told him Owen is talking to Shepherd tonight 15 miles up the coast!!!
18. Also, I wonder if that photo was taken of Luque the moment he found out the deal had been agreed.
19. Signing Luque will not affect the Owen situation. Souness said yesterday he was after one more, and that another one was being closed to being sealed (Luque).
20. So do people voting Shepherd honestly think keeping Souness would be better, bearing in mind that even with Shepherd in charge we've finished very high in the table?
21. Souness. There's not a cat in hell's chance the next appointment will be worse than Souness, while by getting in a new chairman, we'd still be watching the same crap.
22. No he wouldn't. He'd be a hero though if he went out and won the next 10 games...and that'd be perfect for everyone. Not going to happen though.
