More obsessed than Leazes, at least some things are predictable this season
-
Harry Rednapp, Paul Gascoigne, Chris Waddle, David Ginola, DannyB, and because I used to live in Harringey. And Ashley supports them. They do trail in a distant third in my hate list though - they aren't a permanent feature like Sunderland and Liverpool - they could be replaced by a team less irrelevant at any time. When you drop back down to your normal mid table mediocrity I will probably forget about you again.

Louis Theroux and the ultra zionists

The handful of nutjobs inhabiting the settlements and surrounding areas aren't the problem for world peace. They're just pawns. The illegal settlements are advanced by a nuclear superpower, and accepted by THE world superpower. No other country dares do anything about that....or could (as countless UN resolutions show). In those terms one side is much worse than the other. I actually don't think the settlers are quite as bad as islamist nut jobs that are willing to blow themselves up in an public places with the aim of killing as many Israeli citizens as possible but their actions are similar in that they want to provoke the extremists on the other side and prolong the conflict that most moderates on both sides have had enough of. I think they are worse, but I refuse to justify my position -
They should be known as Renault-Lotus and Lotus-Renault then, surely no-one could find that confusing As someone on Twitter wrote: "We don't refer to Marlboro McLaren or Vodafone Mercedes so it'll simply be Renault". lol at me and the power of advertising -I do pretty much still think of McLaren as Marlboro McLaren. So the one that looks like the old JPS Lotus isn't a JPS Lotus, but is a Renault, but is called a Lotus, and is better car than the heir to Lotus name which doesnt look like a JPS Lotus, but is Lotus green. Amarite?

I will admit am cracking on a bit -not RobW territory, but pretty much staring into the abyss. I saw my first match in the 60's which(and Ive only just realised this to my horror) means this is the 6th decade I've watched Newcastle, but this season.... Supporting the lads has always been part comedy, part tragedy and 100% soap opera, but this season is a ridiculous roller coaster ride that is quite frankly beyond belief. The season starts with me worrying the squad simply isn't up to it and we suffer a standard thumping at ManU that bodes ill for the year ahead. We follow it up with a 6-0 hammering of Villa, which at the time I considered the most surprising result I'd ever known, seems pretty small potatoes now mind. The season progresses by losing at home to Blackpool and Stoke but winning away at Everton and Chelsea. We have signed Tiote and Ben Arfa- both turning out to be magnificent buys, but the joy of Ben Arfa's wonder goal is quickly followed by the horror injury We get humiliated at home by Arsenal then put 5 past the Mackems and win away at Arsenal. Ok things are on the up, lets get beat at home by Blackburn and West Brom and have Bolton put five past us - obviously relieving the tedium by a thouroughly entertaing draw against the Champions So we all seem to be feeling the love for the team, for Chris, maybe the man in charge has changed his ways, Oh no he hasn't Hughton sacked, Alan Pardew put in charge - Alan Pardew!! Stiill lets hammer Liverpool 3-1. But hold on theres a quick humiliation away at Stevenage. Throw in a couple of injury time goals to deny us victory against two of three teams I hate more than any other, and Oh yes follow it up by selling our best player to the team I DO hate more than any other... For 35MILLION quid....and it looks like he might not even play again this season... What the fucking fuckity fuck is going on Arsenal...4-4, a game that pretty much defies rational explanation, but a microcosm of our whole season in 90 minutes And now to replace Britains most expensive player we are bringing in Shefki Kuqi, thats right Shefki Kuqi If I had been asked to predict the most bizarre season I could have imagined I wouldn't have come close to what has actually happened. I'm not a religious man but part of me is starting to wonder if this is some sort of cosmic joke at my expense. God only knows what the rest of the season might bring -it could be anything

These are the basics You need to ask them what is the minimum number of parcels per night - you dont want to drive over there to be be given 10 parcels. Also you really want to be doing the same area every night - avoid being one of the nuggets who gets the sweep ie all the crap parcels nobody else wants which are hard to find and are miles apart. If you hear the phrase its a different place every time so you dont get bored you being taken for a mug You should also try and find out how big an area you will be meant to cover - they break the areas down by portions of postcodes - you need to avoid posh areas where the houses are miles apart and have names not numbers which you cant see in the dark. you also need to avoid tower blocks and dodgy estates obv. Ideally you want a area with a high density of terraced/semis in a block of residential streets, avoiding main roads where its a twatter to park and anything with a high shop ratio Good luck Every scenario you mention to avoid will be the ones he'd get I'd imagine, the cream will be left for their permanent staff so they're more productive i.e they get value for money from their employees. You get very few non self employed drivers working out of hours - it just isn't viable to employ people to do it. The vast majority of multi drop companies don't employ drivers at any point, much more cost effective to use self employed owner drivers, small man and van companies or franchise routes out. Employed drivers just won't/don't put the graft in to make it worth the expense of employing them Its always hard to get a good day route but it's not a bad time to get in for evenings now because a load of the people doing it over Christmas leave at this point because theyve made their money over Xmas, and can't be arsed doing it at the lower volumes, so he might get lucky and find a decent spot.

Pardew: Vuckic and LuaLua will get chance
spongebob toonpants replied to Christmas Tree 's topic in Newcastle Forum
That's because he's already a permanent fixture of the first team squad having being on the bench for the last 5 or 6 games....... Not to open a can of worms but that's because there's nee fucker else who can play wide left in the squad. Dont disagree and I appreciate he may be a few years off getting a regular start (if good enough), but currently, when Jonas is having an off day, I see no harm in letting the lad be an impact sub as Ranger has been. Youth doesnt have to mean no good. I think as sure as eggs are eggs, Lua Lua will be the permanent left winger next season. I've seen him play for Brighton - if he is our permamnent LW then we will be in trouble -
Some time? Mackem fau paux? Whats your obsession with ppl being mackems? Get a grip man. Black and White through and through. I would have Barton in for Solano and Pedro in for Lee, that line up is far too defensive Thats mental like. Solano was a much better player than Barton on the right. And i love Barton too. Pedro in CM? Defensive? Hahaha ok marra Your laughing at me for Beardsley - good enough for Keegan -good enough for me. I've just gone for the same front 6 that beat ManU 5-0 but with Barton and Tiote in for Batty and Lee. On reflection I would keep Lee ahead of Barton

65p a parcel - so you need to deliver 100 parcels for £65. That could take 20 working hours alone. Even then you're banking on 12 minutes between drops non stop for 20 hours. True mate, They say they can drop parcels off at your home then you will need to sort and deliver them before 9.00 p.m £65 for at the very least 20 hours work, and you have your petrol to take off that. What a piss take, you should say do I look fuckin Polish? That's not really how it works, you should be able to do 10 - 15 per hour - they will be grouped close together, often multiple deliveries to one address. I had drivers doing over 200/day in the run to Christmas
-
Its not a bad way to make a bit extra money. As far as I know (London) its mainly a a part time thing, and they also only pay the 65p for bigger parcels. Unsigned deliveries 40p signed 50p so make sure you know what you are getting into. It should be a no risk deal - you are self employed so you can just walk away if it doesn't work, though some companies will try and charge you for the route. Shoot me a PM if you want

What will you do when they move your seat?
spongebob toonpants replied to peasepud's topic in Newcastle Forum
Chezney, if you are going to play the contrarian you can surely do better than this. Even Christmas Tree wouldn't have the temerity to pass this off Oh come on, was just asking a question. How can it be contrarian if i also state i am not saying the position is wrong? Well as you very well know correlation =/= causality, you might as well say he second half atmosphere was so good because Mr Marshall-Barnes left early Well i definitely wasnt trying to associate the better atmosphere with the increase in family numbers, just saying that it would be strange to blame the increase in family attendance on the worse atmosphere in the modern game compared to 20+ years ago. edit : wrong way round, ye knaa what i mean. Aye, the atmosphere was a lot better when the average age of attendees was lower -I'm all for increasing the number of kids going, it does seem that the club is doing it in the most aggravating way possible though. -

because it meant selling our best players and being relegated ? Fairly basic lad, even for you. Do you accept that the 14th biggest turnover in football is enough money for the club to speculate with and therefore should not have to sell its best players ? No, I do not accept that it is big enough if... The outgoings are bigger than the turnover. Do you accept that I need this to sink in before I can stop laughing at you? So cutting outgoings and maintaining high turnover means selling best players and getting relegated?? Why did you just suggest that that was all Ashley needed to do then? Tying yourself in knots again wash, rinse, repeat The old board actually looked like they realised the need for a period of retrenhment, as they had before after the Woodgate signing -hence the appointment of Allerdyce -Alas we will never know as Ashley came in and started doling out 60k/week contracts to the likes of Alan Smith left right and centre. Aye, the old board had realised that they had skinted the club so appointed a manager who made his name spending nothing. They were about to pay the cost of their own reckless ambition, unfortunately for Ashley, he bought the club and inherited the blame for this in certain obsessed, possessive people's eyes. You are guilty of exactly what you accuse Leazes of, just in reverse. You are judging Ashley by the actions of Shepherd/Hall, inventing positions for other people to argue against and ignoring points that don't fit your preconceived opinions We will never know what would have happened if Shepherd was still at the helm, he may have driven the club forward with the casino, found new funding from elsewhere, put it into administration sold it Sheik Yermoney. Its completely pointless to speculate. What we do know is the club was in the top 15 revenue generators in the world -that is not in doubt. The reason Ashley is so bad an owner has very little at this stage to do with Shepherd/Hall. You seem to forget he paid off the debt in a popularist flourish on arrival. The problems since then are very much of his making.Putting the management into such disarray that we managed to achieve relegation is astonishing He even managed to inflate the wage bill from the previous administration with a combination of managerial sackings, ill judged contracts and jobs for the boys. (How many of the mega contracts we are still paying were signed under Shepherd/Hall?) His ownership is devaluing the club, receipts are down, sponsorship is down, corporate is down-this is nobodies fault but his own. People aren't blaming him for the problems he inherited-they are blaming him for the problems he has created How am i? The casino idea was fuckin' desperation man, a long shot to say the least. The facts are, and they are facts, that the club was debted up the the eyeballs and there was no money left, as indicated by the signings of Bernard, Rossi, Sibierski, the exact kind of bargain basement and loan signings that Ashley gets slated for from leazes. I don't blindly defend ashley, so for you to say I'm guilty of the same thing in reverse in just stupid. He inherited a lot of problems and created more himself. Leazes blames him for the problems he inherited (not spending money), which is why I am pulling him up. The evidence shows that the money was gone before Ashley came. Leazes calls Ashley unambitious for not spending money that isn't there and wasn't there when he got here. How is that a problem he created? Stop talking shit. Leazes is dead right-of course he is unambitious. He has also run the club disasterously badly. Fact is he did spend money when he first bought the club, and he spent it badly -that wasn't Shepherds fault. He made matters worse by sacking at great cost, financially and to our reputation, Allerdyce and Keegan. He engineered the relegation of the club, none of this is Shepherds fault by the way. He has through no fault of Shepherd collapsed the income, and wasted untold money. He paid off the debt when he came in -since then he has made terrible decsision after terrible decision -none of which have been Shepherd or Hall or anybody elses fault. The reason he is a bad chairman is not anybodies fault but his own. Your obsession with everything wrong at the club now and for evermore being the fault of the previous owners is even more misplaced than Leazes unwillingness to admit any fault for them. You are so blinded by your hatred for Leazes point of view you can't see that you've dissappeared up your own arsehole. You are a blinkered boring fool, you follow Leazes about posting the same tedious shite. He can't make an post about Ashley without you appearing to go on about Shepherd, even when it is completely unrelated to the point-you actually go on about Shepherd more that he does You know how Leazes used to derail every thread with the same argument again and again -that's you that is There's so much wrong with that I'm not going to bother taking it all apart because I've been on nights and I can't be arsed. You're a fucking tool. You've got the same comprehension issues that Leazes has. I DO NOT THINK THAT MIKE ASHLEY IS A GOOD OWNER/CHAIRMAN AND NEVER HAVE. Let's get that clear. BECAUSE MIKE ASHLEY IS A BAD OWNER, THIS DOES NOT MEAN SHEPHERD WAS A GOOD ONE. Leazes runs around spouting that he was right along, was he fuck. He doesn't comprehend that we've gone from a failing ownership to a bad one. He doesn't acknowledge that the previous owners had fucking had it. Mike Ashley being bad or even worse doesn't make them any better. That's all I do, pull him up for talking shit and gloating about being right when he clearly wasn't. You obviously don't read any of these posts I make or you'd know all of this. You're a fuckin' nob you, a full on cock. Leazes might be a bit thick and a bit of a twat sometimes, but you're a full on nob. As I said - you are more obsessed with Shepherd than Leazes is. You have to make everybody believe he was a disaster for the club and would have lead us into administration. Unfortunately we will never know, all we do know is the club was revitalised under their ownership - the opposite of what is happening now You should just relax and let it go
-
There wasn't time for due dilligence and you accuse others of having a primary school level grasp of the facts

They'll be getting paid a fortune. The average Super Sunday game gets 1.2m viewers. Talksport averages 3m listeners during the day, all those ad's etc.. they'll be minting it in. Toontastic should start its own little radio station, would be easy to set up, each week with a new member presenting. that would be classic. highlights could include the breafast show. morning moans on all things toon related. some mid morning world and political programs, the highlight being parky's morning musings on the middle east and all the latest consipracy theories drivetime radio featuring all of the best selections from the "what are you listening to thread" evening show would have your daily old board v new board phone in show hosted by leazesmag and skidmark. a toontastic take on nightowls guaranteed to help send any listener off to sleep. Saturday morning with Kevin and Deadman - we could call it "Wake up to Dickhead" edit **nee offence like** -

He basically admitted he had been lying about Carrol from the start, whether that is true or it was a bizzarre attempt at face saving, or he was told to say that who can tell. Jerry, just remember, it's not a lie if you believe it
