  1. Tiote & Jonas were fucking magnificent tonight. That is all.
  2. Not the Emirates? The Olympics have thrown a massive spanner in the works with regards to holding the game in London.
  3. St James' Park is apparently in line to host the 2012 Community Shield due to the fact Wembley & the Millenium Stadium are otherwise engaged that weekend. The FA don't want to hold it at Old Trafford because there is a good chance Man United could be involved and Villa Park may be getting redecorated and extended that summer
  4. Which was?....appointing Benitez or some other exspenive foreign coach?...not having a dig I'm just not sure what you're getting at with this. Anyone who walked out at the end of the last home game v Wolves in 03/04 before the team had done a lap of honour undoubtedly put a nail in Robson's SJP coffin, he says so in his autobiography anyway. He felt very let down by us that day. Liverpool finished above us yet saw fit to replace their coach because the team wasn't performing well enough. We were in direct competition with Liverpool at the time and capable of attracting any number of world class coaches. We should've grasped the nettle rather than twiddling our thumbs and making noises about how Robson was only being given another year.
  5. Well we did.... Speak for yourself mate....you're guilty of doing what the press do and lumping us all in together as we're the fuckin borg from star trek or something and we all think exactly alike. Some wanted rid of Robson, chiefly Freddy fuckin Shpeherd. Some were quite vocal on this and Shpherd listened to them and sacked him without having a successor lined up. As far as I could make out most were a bit on the diasappointed side at finsihing 5th and not winning the UEFA cup. And there were concerns about the behaviour of the players. But wasnt the best, most qualified man to turn that round already in the job? I didn't, but I clearly remember coming onto Newcastle messageboards and people claiming we should get him out.... Our main error was who we replaced him with...A cardinal sin.. I wanted him out in the summer. Nothing against the bloke but I thought if we wanted to keep on moving forward as a club we needed to bring a younger manager in with fresh ideas who was proven at the very top level as I think it was becoming clear Robson didn't have long left in the game. We needed to follow Liverpool's lead. That said the hounding out stuff is bollocks. They make it sound like we marched on the ground and forced Shepherd's hand when as a matter of fact even those who thought Robson needed to go were willing to give him the benefit of the doubt for what we were told was his final year.
  6. Read as: The FA wanted to kick off at us but realised they'd have to upset Fergie too if they did. Pathetic.
  7. It still smacks of cashing in. At the end of the day it was a draw.
  8. I can't remember the last player we bought with a name that generated so many song ideas. I'm warming to him already
  9. Hypocrital twats the lot of them. One's a building on fire? It's the fucking WTC. It was a bit more than on fire Not that I find it in any way offensive, it's actually quite funny, I just find their attitude baffling. Taking the piss out of the fact their Stokoe statue makes him look like a nonce by Photoshopping him into arguably the most famous war photograph ever taken is well out of order but replacing a plane which helped bring down a skyscraper in the worst terrorist attack the Western world has ever seen with our latest signing is well within the boundries of comedy. Okay then.
  10. Are you the one who took the "rapist" banner? No, although I was one of the people who held it up I didn't know what it said, I strolled in and there was a banner on the seat in front so when the teams came out I did as everyone else did and held it up. I logged onto N-O later that night and saw a picture of said banner and my pasty, girlish hands peeking over the top of it
  11. Red dot on the back wall. Not too far away from Happy Face
  12. If he is so easy to replace why do Lazio want him? The reason is they can see the positives he brings to the team in terms of getting us into the opposition half and generally then winning free kicks. This relieves presure on the defence and gives us the opportunity from the free kicks to make the most of Carrolls ability in the air..........Oh! Piss off, you daft helmet. It's paper talk, I doubt Lazio do want him but I'm certainly under no illusions that he's irreplaceable. £8 million would be a great deal for us.
  13. The white Harvey Price?
  14. Pacey wingers who can't cross or score are ten a penny. I don't think he'd be that difficult to replace.
  15. Sounds like one of Stevie's dirty dreams.
  16. Isn't Ewerthon also fucking bilge and living off his reputation of 5 plus years ago? Whoever we signed at this stage was always going to be shite and have a role similar to that of Lamine Diatta or Ronny Johnsen. Not replacing Carroll in the window was utterly embarrassing, bringing in Kuqi as cheap back up just in case barely registers.
  17. I quite literally couldn't give a shite about this. Anyone who we were going to sign on a free was going to be complete bollocks, Kuqi is just that. No point in moaning as I doubt he'll get game time.
  18. May be interested in the tickets Alan but not the bus. I'll see who wants to go first. I'l give you £60 for the 2 tickets. I have paypal or can pay via online banking. Let me know. thanks
  19. It wasn't me. Where's that from, he has a point to a degree about some people in Level 7. "Small town in Tottenham" you just think oh dear. The shoes off and pogo stuff makes me cringe. As much as I'd like everyone to know I've just spend £70 on a brand spanking new pair of Onitsuka Tigers I feel like a reet twat waving them around for all to see. They don't even pogo, they dance from foot to foot with hands in the air. I pogo, hands in fists at the hips with large single bounds from both feet I don't actually "turn around" when Shola turns on the style either. Keep it quiet but I rarely clap my hands when I'm asked to do so during a chorus of Proud to be a Geordie. It's laziness rather than owt else.

  21. I know I'll end up renewing and sitting elsewhere, although I will loathe myself for doing so
  22. I must be worth everyone chipping in to get a box. At least that way we'll be within gobbing distance of Ashley & Llambias.
