Looking forward to reading back over their match thread, regardless of the result. A Champions League match thread on a Championship message board. Something they've not had before.

My Oil Baron Brother, I have to pull you up on this bit. If Manchester City (who can replace Haaland with Alvarez, Kevin De Bruyne with Foden, and Grealish with Doku) think they have a paper thin squad, what chance do the rest of us have? Like you've said, you've gentler fixtures in the league surrounding the League Cup games, and your Champions League Group is... accommodating. I'm pretty sure you could field fringe players in those fixtures and steamroller the opponents, while naming a strong team to face us.

What's the craic with this?

They can't even get people from Durham to support them, how're they going to get young lads to join their academy?

4th for xG, 6th for xGA. They've got enough quality to start putting them away. -
Grandchildren won't find it hard to believe that they were in League One, however they'll refer to that period as "the Good Old Days".

Daniel Sloss called it ages ago and is the only comedian to put his name out there. I know there are comics on the circuit who share stories about 'problem' people, but there was apparently the sense that powerful voices could fuck their career if they spoke up. Not just the predators, but toxic people who'd sabotage a crowd for a newer comic, out of spite or whatever. I know there's a group where people can raise concerns but when so many of the promoters are more bothered about income than the safety/happiness of their performers, it's not had much impact

Even MOTD2 peddled the myth of a supportive Goodison. I can't remember when it wasn't either silent, or toxic. These new owners sounds dodgy as fuck, our antipodean members might be able to talk more about 777's Australian team but from what I heard they're not doing a good job at any of their owned sides.

Been watching those highlights of Bruno and he really did grow into the game more and more. Like as has been said Longstaff's energy and metronomic passing means Bruno can influence the game way more. Something Joelinton and Tonali's skillsets don't lend themselves to. I think if we could get Longstaff, Bruno and Tonali we could see some really really good football.

Surprised Gemmill hasn't leapt to the defence of Souness yet.

He was a top player, and would have been even better if he could have kept his arseholery to the pitch. But he couldn't, as Alex has said, he's been shuffled out of the door of every club he's been at. That doesn't happen if your rewards outweigh the costs. One of those players who was perhaps a fair few years ahead of his time; A pacy, hardworking attacker who could play on the flanks. Sounds tailored made for the high press style that's popular at the moment.

There's no way I'm letting that Mediterranean Machoman anywhere near Mrs Fish. Be worse that Mrs Wykiki and Wilson. (by the by, I thoroughly enjoy that this faux rivalry has become canon )

We've scarcely any listeners anyway, wouldn't want to lose more by courting such controversy.
