  1. Here man, Lovenkrands, Shola, Andy Carroll and Kevin Nolan all scored double figures! Lovenkrands... Nolan... Carroll and fucking Shola! You're a right pissy knickers lately.
  2. more playing time, worse league, you miss the point, and it's like talking to a child.
  3. Anyone got a good BBQ chicken recipe? Quite fancy a smokey sweet chicken with corn on the cob, potato salad & whatnot. tia and foia
  4. I wouldn't want Colback either, but you said we had no battlers, he is a battler. Those three have 4 out of 24, despite having played less than half of the season. Also, assists aren't a reliable metric for measuring someone's creativity. Modric got fewer assists than Lennon when they played together at Spurs, is Modric less of a creator than Aaron Lennon? 2nd and 3rd top goal scorers for the club despite neither starting as many games as the top goal scorer. Anything else I can help with?
  5. Colback, Dummett, Aarons, Shelvey, Townsend Perez, Mitrovic, Armstrong I agree.
  6. We're not going to win away until we face Villa, by which time it'll be far too late.
  7. Aye, but I'd not be surprised if they dwindle if we don't stroll to the title as we did last time. (We'd clinched automatic this stage of that season hadn't we?).
  8. That American I record the podcast with sent out a message asking if anyone wanted to try and get tickets for whichever is the game Leicester clinch the title... Now, I'm not averse to watching other teams, I used to watch AFC Wimbledon a lot, even saw them promoted twice. Once at the Etihad. But I cannot understand travelling to leicester (or with leicester fans) to watch them lift the Premier League trophy when my team is, in all likelihood, relegated to the Championship. He says "A win for Leicester is a win for everyone". I'm not sure Spurs, Arsenal, Man City, Chelsea, Man Utd or Liverpool feel that way. I'm fairly certain Leicester winning the title isn't a win for Villa, for Newcastle or for sunderland either.
  9. Can't remember when I last enjoyed 90 minutes. Sure we've won some games and played well in parts, but most wins have been nervy encounters. Even the 6-2 at home to Norwich wasn't really as comfortable as the score line suggests. There've been a fair few Saturday's when we've gone shopping/into London/to meet some of her friends for lunch instead of searching for a reliable stream. First season where that's become fairly regular for me. Think I'll be more likely to go to away games next year, especially as we'll have left London and its disproportionately priced tickets. (£50 for QPR)?!
  10. Think Aston VIlla are in real trouble. Don't they have debt to Lerner and to a bank? We only owe money to Ashley. It's not a formality of course, but depending on who makes up the squad in the Championship I think we could have the best team down there, as we did in 09/10. Actually getting excited about seeing what Aarons, Mitrovic and Perez* will do to the clubs down there *I know, I know.
  11. If Rafa had seen something in the squad, the club or the board he might have stayed. But he hasn't, he hasn't and he hasn't, so he won't. It'll be Cathro taking us back up, then inexplicably replaced by Pardew the following season.
  12. Hang on Stevie, I can't think of many people who don't take the piss out of themselves on here, it's one of this place's appealing features.
  13. Aye I think also the lack of heart on the pitch has made it easier to not give as much of a shit. If the more of the players were as affected as Mitrovic I might feel for them. But a combination of being poorly setup for the majority of the season, a club with a losing mentality, gutless and/or incompetent teammates has meant we've been on a downward spiral for ages. I had hoped the spiral wouldn't be as steep, or that signings would arrest the slide, but we're a rotten club that doesn't deserve the support it gets, but does deserve relegation.
  14. So it's only CT and Stevie that've shit themselves then? must be something in the Wearside water
  15. Haven't been confident of survival for ages man.
  16. As I've said, even if we somehow stay up, he's take the Valencia job over us any day of the week.
  17. Even if we miraculously stayed up, he'd be gone.
  18. This thread has gone brilliatnly for both of us.
  19. http://www.toontastic.net/board/topic/35966-planning-for-next-season/#entry1398060
  20. I'm hoping that this relegation will be the final nail in a thumb shaped coffin. I'm hopeful that the new man will bring in a promising ambitious manager but I'm expecting us to employ Neil Warnock of someone like him.
