I've not found a decent copy anywhere. There's an unwatchable Cam version out there; the title crawl is in Spanish, the video is blurred and the audio is shocking. If I find something better I'll let you know.

Never had a problem getting a discount for white good at decent stores. John Lewis etc are happy enough to give you a deal if you chance your arm. Not necessarily a discount on the actual doodad, but they'll often happily chuck in warranties/accessories/whatever. I only ever stream the 3 o'clock games, though I'd be happy enough paying for a package that let me watch them and wasn't a massive pain in the arse.

on how many players though? We didn't overhaul the squad, in the summer did we? We signed 1 centre back when we probably needed 2. We didn't sign a left back when we needed one, we signed 1 striker when we probably needed 2. We gambled on a replacement for a replacement Left Winger we gambled on. We didn't sign a creative central midfielder until January!

I would definitely haggle over a fridge, or an oven or whatever. Just makes sense, the salespeople have flexibility to drive through a sale, so why in God's name would you not take advantage of that flexibility? You're not taking money out the pocket of the poor spotty oik trying to flog a 3yr warranty on a toaster. Also, it's more than a tenner. The Sky package I have should cost about £100.

He has his limitations, no doubt. His inability to get a plan in place for away games is evidence of that. I think the negativity around the place wasn't helped by our early fixtures, we were playing some decent football even then, but we were facing some really good sides. Man Utd, Man City, Arsenal, Chelsea, Southampton, West Ham, and a surprise package in Watford. Then comes a demolition of Norwich, and a dominant 1st half vs the mackems. Colo getting sent off like that is a fucking crime and I honestly believe we'd have comfortably won that game had he stayed on the pitch. Win that game and sunderland are 1pt ahead of Villa on 17pts and we're 4pts clear of the bottom 3 on 27. I'm adamant we're playing a more pleasing style of football, I'm sure we'll stay up and while McClaren isn't an inspiring Head Coach given the context of where and what the club currently is, he's doing an all right job. I'd drop him for Moyes, Rodgers or whomever but don't kid yourself that Pardew is a better manager, he's just a streaky manager who's limitations are papered over by talented footballers.

Partly because it's dead easy to sort Sky out and dodgy boxes are, by their very nature, a bit dodgy and someone else can sort out the technical shit if it goes wrong. Partly because my lass is uncomfortable with watching "acquired" movies or tv shows. (I think she thinks SWAT will boot the door in just because we're watching a snide copy of Inside Out.)

Every time the bills gone up I've flat out stated I can't afford to pay the increased rate and feign the process of cancelling. They've called my bluff a couple of times and sent me the cancel letters and given me a final date and stuff. Then, sure as night follows day I'll get a phone call from some softly spoken Scottish call-centre worker who simpers "och, Mr watson, we've sin yer leavin' us and were wunderin' if thuz anythin' we kin doo" Ten minutes later I've got the full Sky package for under £50 again.
