No it's to push him out wider left, play with 2 centrally defensive mids from Tiote, Colback and Anita, but with Shelvey central ahead of them. I'm absolutely terrified of Payet, so want 1 of the DMs we have to shadow him & hopefully run him out of the game.
-
I've made a career out of killing time on this board
-
I agree Gini's better in the centre, but for this game, I think neutralising Payet has to take precedence.
-
I will have to bear in mind you're a thick fucker who likes to be contrary, then cover your idiocy with misplaced condescension.
-
Did I highlight the throw away line about Saivet in bold? Or did I highlight the 2 paragraphs that spoke specifically about Shelvey, within which there was a throwaway line about Saivet? --------> <-----------
-
Embrace it mate. Start eating cabbage and sprout based remedies.
-
It means CT is deliberately missing the point. Probably because he's a contrarian, possibly because he's stupid.
-
You're being obtuse. That doesn't mean fat.
-
Hey, Mr Potatohead, how am I arguing against it? Shelvey could be key to Newcastle, that's e point of the article. Saivet gets a line, if that, and it's not accurate.
-
It does, but I posted it for the Shelvey discussion. Saivet has (and I can't believe I'm having to say this again) player predominantly in the centre. Re him not being in my starting line up, I know, it was deliberate. I'm of the opinion it might take him longer to settle into the league than Shelvey.
-
Mbabu picked up a knock at Watford.
-
I'd give you a space bar.
-
Saivet hasn't been playing as a left winger, he's been played centrally. Neither Shelvey nor Wijnaldum are defensive midfielders, so your centre is pretty flimsy there. Elliott Janmaat Memba Colo Dummett Colback/Tiote/Anita Sissoko Shelvey Wijnaldum Mitrovic The defensive midfielder should be given the job of neutralising Payet.
-
I'd rather be 18th playing good football & strengthening, than be 17th playing shit and gambling on it being enough. We'll climb out of this even if we don't sign a striker, which I'm confident we will.
-
If he'd been performing brilliantly, maybe he'd go. But he hasn't so he won't.
-
Had no idea that Die Hard was his first proper film role?
-
Thin squad, but thick enough where he "plays".
-
and the way we play, Perez, Wijnaldum, Sissoko, can all play in that position and at least to his limited standard.

Yeah, there's not a position that Gouffran can play that we don't have someone who is at the very least as incapable in that position.
-
Jesus, Jamie McClen would be capable of contributing more than Yoann.
-
I know it's the shit-v-shit debate again, but I'd rather be shot of Gouffran, than Colback or Anita.
-
You look at the team that Stoke have assembled, Bojan, Shaqiri, Arnautović, Afellay. That's a lot of mavericks, but it's working. Mercurial talents lighting up the league, at Stoke?!
