  1. How many games have we seen like that in the past few years? There's definitely been something missing within the make up of the squad for me. Whether that's the lack of a leader on the pitch, too many cheese eating surrender monkeys or whatever, it's needed adressing.
  2. I thought Gem was refering to Ben Arfa there. Or did you mean Fish?
  3. I'm still hard pushed to fancy a home win let alone an away one. But I'd rather we played them when they've went eleven undeaten than on the back of a couple of defeats. I do think we can get something out of the game.
  4. I watched all of the previous seasons and films again in the last couple of years and I still thoroughly enjoyed them. How much of that enjoyment came from nostalgia? I don't really think it's possible to distinguish. Maybe if I'd never watched it at the time I'd have thought it was shit now. That second film was one of the worst things they ever did mind.
  5. I believe they have more evidence than what the girl has told them.
  6. That's the one for me like. That would clearly show how classy they are. I think if he was telling them he was innocent they'd have been right to allow him to do his job as normal.
  7. You've got to think they must have known for some time he would plead the way he had. Maybe not since he was first bailled but in recent weeks at very least.
  8. https://i.ytimg.com/vi/GkWKxIWrkP4/maxresdefault.jpg "We will be relegated"
  9. Aye you'd have to find someone else to argue with for hours on end
  10. Apparently admitting to grooming is only admitting he knew she was under age. That and kissing won't be enough to get him a prison sentence.
  11. The fact that he's admitted to grooming suggests he knew exactly what he was doing and that it is a crime. It's not like he met the lass in a nightclub and assumed she was old enough. Apparently it's oral sex rather than full intercourse. Not that I think that makes it any better. Surely they must have known for some time he was going to be pleading guilty. Not a good showing from the 'classy club' if that's the case. Clearly showing that premiership survival means more to them than child welfare!
  12. The first episode of this run has been comfortably the worst for me.
  13. Interesting insight into the mind of you two there. Alex thinks fanny whereas Gloomy thinks pancake.
  14. Aye he's a joy to have in the team. There are some really good batters about at the minute like. Root, Smith, Williamson, Kholi, De Villers & Amla. All of the big teams have a real star player.
  15. And another ridiculous run out! Root played a blinder too.
  16. Aye Anichebe usually manages to do something against us but he is one of the worst strikers I've seen in this league. It wasn't the biggest challenge for him and Chelsea will no doubt provide a much more difficult match. But he's been playing for us for long enough now that we don't need to judge him on the West Brom game or the Chelsea one. We know what he's like by now surely.
  17. Yeah but it's happened since then with Carver (yes I know) and McClaren. It seems to me that there is a deep rooted confidence issue in the club.
  18. I think it will take a more sustained upturn in results for the confidence to come back. Or more to the point for it not to fall away as soon as we get a bad result. We saw last season when we had that five or six game winning run that as soon as we lost all the confidence that had seemed to build up, quickly evaporate.
  19. Aye I think we are generally thinking along the same lines most of the time but I know you've had a long held distain for him. Tbh if he could stay fit I'd probably start him ahead of Colo now as I think he'd be a better foil for Mbemba and I think Colo is pretty much finished now. Again it's not really a ringing endoursement.
  20. He's definitely not shite imo. He's miles better than Williamson and a hell of a lot of other central defenders we've had in the premier league. He's not anywhere near as good as Mbemba is or Colo was but he's a generally solid player. Yes he does have some stinkers on occassion but he also has some excellent games from time to time too. Shouldn't be first choice but if we was fit more he'd be a competent back up.
  21. You could just as easily blame Shelvey for not making any decent passes to Gini or others and that resulting in Gini's non appearence. I'm not being negative. I'm very happy about the display on Saturday. But I'm realistic enough to see that our home record in the last two years is very poor so I'm not going to expect it to suddenly all change and us win four or five out of our last six even with the improvement in the balance of the team. I can also clearly see that our away form has been utterly terible and as yet hasn't shown any sign of improvement after the signings we've made. We made a positive step on Saturday but again it will count for very little if we just revert back to type next game.
