Street Kings. Good police procedural which for me very much has a flavour of Training Day or Narc whilst also having quite a bit in common with LA Confidential (unsurprisingly since James Elroy wrote both storey's) with Reeve's role reminicent of Crowe's Bud White. It's not groundbreaking or something that's going to break into anyones top 100 but it's definitely entertaining.

'Ice Cold in Alex' for 'Point Break'. Although I like the latter, it's nowt special imo. Point Break is craking at what it does but I don't see how it could ever be considered a great film. Bizare to see it in a top 100 that also has Tokyo Story and Pather Pachali in it. Amelie should be in there but I still prefer A Very Long Engagement. Oldboy is a surprising omission from a world cinema point. Paris Texas should be there.

It's a shitter that we've lost out on him to a team who are around us, if it had been a real top team it would be to be expected but you still can't be surprised to lose him to a team playing in Europe and based in London. I must say though that while I've seen very little of him, due to his size and where he's coming from I have doubts over how well he will adapt to the premier league but we will have to just wait and see. Still I'm very happy that this is the calibre of player we are going for and I guess it will have to be on to Arshavin next eh?

I haven't seen much of him play but this would certainly be a very significant coup and signal of our intentions if it were to come off. He is one of the most highly praised and sought after young players outside of the major leagues and it would be great to see us signing one of these players before they end up at Barca/Madrid/Milan/Juve etc (mind you we thought the same about Viana and Maric and they certainly didn't work out like we hoped). That said I've got no faith this will come off.

I'm having some bother playing dvd's that I burn using nero 8. They play fine on the cheap asda bought TV/DVD combo thing I've got in the spare room but they won't play on my Panasonic multi region playing that I have as my main one. It usually plays copy's fine but I'm getting no joy with the ones I've converted from DIVX downloads. Anyone have any ideas?

McShane was awful. Lovely finish from that corner for us though, shame it was disallowed. As for Reid, I had to point out to the knuckle dragging mackems sitting behind me (how do people like this get to university? God knows) any team who chants 'fat bastard' to Viduka is a bit rich when your team cointains that fat dirty twat. Why was his bullet header disallowed anyway? They didn't show it on MOTD so I haven't seen it since it happened.

How fucking easy was that. I never expected such a limp performance from either team in a derby. We weren't very good at all but it was like men against boys (fat as fuck boys in Reid's case) and they never at any point looked like troubling us. As long as it's part of a community programme that gives tickets various people who aren't able to get tickets (such as kids who have done nothing wrong but who just can't afford tickets) I'm all for it. I would be disapointed if the only free tickets we give out are for drug adicts but I'm sure that's not the case.
