All enjoyable films. I'm proud to say I've avoided all of the Scary Movies, it seems so redundant to make a parody of a parody.
-
Much poorer than Smith's other films (seemed like he was forced to try and make a Hollywood version of Clerks) but it still has some incredibly funny bits and Brodie ranks right up there with Randal and Jay as his funniest characters.
-
Surely someone else must have dared you to say that The Jesus and Mary Chain - Darklands. Seriously underrated compared to Pyshcocandy.

Both class films. I'd forgot about CB4 actually. On a similar not, Airheads with Adam Sandler, Steve Buscemi and Brendon Frazer is brilliant.

Mannequin. Really fancied Kim Catrell back then and I used to watch The Golden Girls with my mam so having Estelle Getty in also helped but I've always loved this. James Spader is fantastic a pantomime villan and bloke off Police Academy is does is usual act. Great fun. Carry On Screaming. Another one from my childhood (I used to love all of the carry on films) and despite not featuring the genius that was Sid James I always thought this was the best actuall film of them all. I enjoyed Hudson Hawk too.

I don't think I've enjoyed any Terry Gilliam. Brazil and Fear and Loathing spring to mind. People cream their pants over them. I see very little to enjoy in any of them. I wouldn't say I love Gilliam, Brazil is good but flawed and Fear and Loathing is quite funny not great for me, but I love 12 Monkeys which I feel is the one film of his that I've seen that seems to pull it all together.

Absolutely hated, I actually turned it off about ten minutes before the end and it is unheard of for me to do that after trying so hard to stick with it. I felt think punching meself for putting me through it. It has no redeeming qualities whatsoever. And it's not because I can't get films that have no action because I watched Tokyo Story last year in which there is no action at all and even the camera stays in one place for nearly all of the film and I absolutely loved it. I started watching Shoot The Piano Player recently and while I wasn't exactly blown away it had something that kept me far more interested so I will get round to watching the rest of it. But I'm just not certain that Truffaut is someone who's work does anything for me (well appart from his acting in Close Encounters).

You would have thought that after hating the first three you would have called it a day before watching resurection. I commend you on your persistance though.

Wouldn't mind seeing us go in for Bullard. He's always impressed me whenever I've seen him, he's constantly involved in the game, he's good on the ball and has a cracking dig. He's not the massive signing we are hoping for in the summer but he's better than what we have at the moment and for a couple of million would be at least a cracking squad player. He would be an excellent signing for the scum if they are really interested in him.

Sleuth (the original one). Been after seeing this for ages but for some reason you can't get the DVD in this country. Superb film with fantastic performances from two of this country's greatest ever actors. You do have to suspend your disbelief quite a bit to believe that even a blind man couldn't spot Caine's disguise but it did keep me guessing as to whether he was playing two parts or not. Classic. -
The Gutter Twins - Saturnalia

Usual Suspects is brilliant and personally I had no trouble following it (although I don't think it's at all possible to determine who Kaiser Soze is without a complete guess) and the Matrix is a thoroughly enjoyable action film but by no means a work of genius. The prestige was good but not great by any means. 12 Monkeys is absolutely fantastic though. Great performance from Willis and Pitt and a superb mind bending concept.

Titanic is the obvious one for me. Wins a million Oscars and breaks all kinds of box office records and is utter shite. What feels like two weeks of a boat sinking with a dull love story thrown in for good measure. If you want to see a ship sink watch The Poseidon Adventure and if you want romance I can think of a million better films. Forest Gump is also absolutely gash. I really hated The 400 Blows too. It was the most bored I'd ever been watching anything. I'd rather watch Emerdale than be forced to endure that shite again.

Personally I always had faith in his ability to score goals (he's exceeding my expecations of how involved he is in games in his new deeper role too) and none of the other shit really bothered me. I don't believe he is any different to the rest of them in that if we were relegated he would be off like a shot. It's just that with him being amongst Englands most important international players he gets more press than the rest. He looks happy now under Keegan (as do the rest of the team) and he's proving how good he still is, hopefully he'll sign a new (no doubt obscene) contract once we are certain to stay up and we can concentrate on building a team that can provide him with plenty of chances.

Just finished watching it, I like the concept but it certainly left you wanting more in very frustrating way, I was expecting some kind of post-script at the end of the footage, quite good all in all but quite frustrating too. Thats exactly what me and wor lass said. Kinda wanted some explanation at the end. I thought the fact that it offered no explanation at all made it all the better for me. If they'd explained it or shown the monster more it would have just ended up like Godzilla. Well, even without the explanation the whole Monster coming out of the sea, wrecking skyscrapers thing, does hint very slightly of Godzilla. Yeah but that film (the one with Matthew Broderick) was shite. -

They did have quite a bit of posession early on and personally I thought they looked the better team for the first twenty minutes or so with Hunt looking threatening. They died off after that though and never tested Harper at all (or looked like getting near to him tbf). We always looked like we had more in the tank and had we pushed on after Viduka's goal we could have easily scored more. There was never at any stage anything like an onslaught from Reading though, the only had one shot on target the whole game and that was timid at best.

The soundtrack to Amadeus would be an obvious place to start I would think. I can't say that I listen to any classical stuff but I when I watched that I found the music amazing. Think I'll try an download some actually.

TBF Reading did have some decent posession (especially early on) and did force a lot of corners (which Faye delt excellently with). But they were never a threat whereas we always looked like we could go on and score more (and would have if we hadn't took our foot off the gas). Agree with comments on Beye and Enrique with Beye being my MOM. I think we have a good pair of fullbacks there that will both get better next season. Faye was also strong although he was rarely pressured. The front three are looking good with each one providing something different. I think Viduka probably needs replacing with someone more mobile next season (Crouch would be worth a punt imo) but I do think he does a good job allowing the other two to do damage. Overall a decent performance which all but confirms our premiership status and gives us a good platform for next week when hopefully Portsmouth will have one eye on the cup final.

Can't see him playing for us again tbh. Has talent but has never really been there when we've needed him.

The Mist. Like a more tense but less cool (in a John Carpenter way) The Fog. Thomas Jane in the lead role was wooden and some of the special effects are really lacking by todays standards (I thought it was going to end up looking like Tremors at the start) but all in all I quite enjoyed it. Quite a nice ending too. -

http://www.toontastic.net/board/index.php?...&pid=409445 Usually a hard one to please as well my mate. Sounds shite like I fail to see how Darabont doing King (in an adaptational (possibly a made up word) sense) can be bad but I'll find out shortly. And I just noticed your coments about Millers Crossing Wacky. You want shot with shit for that mate, it's an absolute classic. Seriously I had to turn it off, as wooden as a set of russian dolls imo So wrong. -

True Romance and Top Gun are class films. Blade Runner is still the best film done by either of the though. -

Thelma and Louise is a masterpiece though.
