  1. Modest Mouse - We Were Dead Before The Ship Even Sank
  2. I think 12 Angry Men & The Maltese Falcon are the two films that I can always watch to the end from whatever point they're at if they're on the telly.
  3. Best from; Maltese Falcon, TGTBATU, Seven, Pulp Fiction, 12 Angry Men, LA Confidential, China Town, Star Wars, Empire Strikes Back, The Godfather, The Terminator, North By North West and many more. Worst; The 400 Blows, ET, Forest Gump, Titanic.
  4. I like Reo Coker quite a bit. Whenever I've seen him play he seems to be always involved in the game (something I find can be lacking from our players, especially away from home). Ashton would be a good signing but I can't see how we can expect to keep him Owen, Martins and Shola happy. Chelski, Manure & Liverpool all have problems keeping top forwards happy and they are in the champions league and challenging for the title (well the bin dippers obviously aren't). And we haven't managed it in the past either. I'm not sure Ferdinand is poor like some are saying (I think he could turn out to be a very good player) but at the minute he's not of the level we need and he's just too young. We need and experienced head back there. Nobby is showing how much a quality experienced player can do for us and I think this would be much more if we could get an experienced centreback.
  5. The remake is on the way. EDIT: Seems to have been scrapped now. I was nearly looking like a right tit there I should have said they could have never come up with something like this on their own!
  6. Old Boy. Without doubt the best Korean film I've ever seen. Fucking bizarre and quite disturbing in the end (which I did guess). I can't imagine a film like this ever being made in America.
  7. I took it as a bit of over enthusiasm (something I would never have accused him of before). He just seemed like he wanted to get the ball back and get on with attacking them. Stupid thing to do though.
  8. Where's the Texaco cup when you need it!
  9. Spot on assesment for my money. And I'll add that while I'm certainly not Shola's biggest fan, I would much rather see him in the starting line up than Le Sib and I'm sure he could form a half decent partnership with either Martins or Owen. When looking at his record you have to remember he played far too many games with Shearer which was the most ilconceived partnership since Ben Affleck and Jenifer Lopez!
  10. How bad are Joe Royale and the other bloke (John Helm is it?). It's like listening to a couple of old hens doing their knitting!
  11. I do think having someone on the left behind him who can link up with him helps a lot. Even if it is only Babayarou. I agree with the confidence thing too though.
  12. Good win but we should have had five or six. We've been punished a few times this season for not killing teams off and we need to start scoring more.
  13. One of the better reviews in this thread tbh. I think it nicely sums the film up Actually I think I might have really liked it but you never can tell with a David Lynch film. I'm still trying to work out what the fuck was going on, some of the scenes seemed to have been left in from when it was going to be a series and have no part to play in the film. Mind you the girl on girl action assures it of a place in my heart anyway!
  14. Sienfeld is fucking class. I've got all of the box sets already and me mam bought them for me for so price was no object!
  15. I've got Old Boy and Wages of Fear heading my way from lovefilm and Out Of The Past has just turned up from Amazon. And I'm halfway though Mulholland Dr so I shoud be kept occupied for a while.
  16. Shit is it Valentines day? I'd better get off to the shops pronto.
  17. Alan Arkin must be one of the most underrated actors out there. He's regularly brilliant. The Breakup. Ok rom com with some pretty funny bits from the supporting cast. Wonderland. Val Kilmer playing 70's porn star Johnny Holmes during his involvement in the Wonderland murders. My mate recommend it and I thought it was excellent and can't believe I've never heard much about it before. Kilmer is really good (as I think he is quite often tbf). Infernal Affairs. Excellent, really good ending. I can't wait to see the departed now. Hero. Unfortunately I kept falling asleep during the adverts so I lost track of the plot but I'm not sure how much that matters when a film looks this good. Easily the most beautiful film I've ever seen.
  18. Yeah, I watch it inbetween playing pool and getting a round of drinks in Whilst sitting still and cracking jokes I bet. Nah, I'm not great at jokes actually. I can only remember about 2 and I've told them to death. And did he laugh? No Probably too busy playing chess tbh

  20. Number 46 pisses me right off. Wor lass can't spend five minutes on her own never mind a whole day. And more to the point she doesn't understand why I would want to be by myself!
  21. Tbf to Dogleish, I don't think he had any say in the sale of Sir Les. I think it was always going to be the price for buying Shearer and it played a big part in Keegan going.
