Allardyce set to become Newcastle boss by May 14
David Kelly replied to Jimbo's topic in Newcastle Forum
After our last two managerial appointments I refuse to get excited about this at all (not that Allardyce as manager excites me exactly anyway but it certainly would give me hope for the future again). -
I credit myself with passing probably the funniest rumour onto this board!
-
Why? talentless but got his chance because he's a lercal lad also a TOTAL cockend off the pitch as well, even before he broke into the first team he was swaggering about the place like he was the midfield lynchpion and fans favourite. The story about Dyer burning his twenty note? I'd not have been surprised to hear Jamie trying that, but missing and setting his gormless face ahad. fucking hate the bloke Fair doo's, I agree with the talentless but I always considered him harmless. Never saw anything of him off the pitch though.

Why?

Carr he's completely wank.

I'm glad someone else has asked that. It's been bugging me for ages.

I love Italian wine especially Barolo or Amarone. But I enjoy even a bog standard Valpolicela or Montepoluciano (my spelling is probably shite there). Masi Valpolicela is really nice.

Carroll wanted for promotion push at Foxes
David Kelly replied to Scottish Mag's topic in Newcastle Forum
I'd prefer to see him go to a championship club as this would be a better indicator as to whether or not he will be likely to make the step up. But I would think letting him go to Carlilse until January and seeing how it goes from there would be a good idea. -
But even when he first came back, he didn't have to bust a gut for a manager who clearly didn't want him to be there. He could have sulked and not been arsed but he didn't. But at the end of the day Milner also knew that if it wasn't the mid transfer window it would be the summer one where he would be away from the fucking idiot that is rodent. I think people are actually missing the importance and effect his father passing would have had on him. He's still a kid and without that influence, especially if they were close, he's going to lose a lot of perspective in everything he does. Were they close? I seem to remember hearing the opposite (I might be talking complete bollocks here like). Either way you might well be right that this is effecting him. Wor lass lost her dad recently and she's having a terrible time.

Wasn't he pretty much dropped as soon as Duff was fit to play though? I'm not sure how you can make the claim that he took the huff the minute Duff arrived. His head has seemed to be down ever since Duff's arrival to me at least. I'm not saying I wouldn't be pissed off if I were in his position but I would keep trying to do something about it. I just haven't seen that from him. The whole problem stems from a poor use of our resources in the transfer window though.
-
I think it's fair to say that he does seem to have taken a huff at the arrival of Duff even before it became clear Duff wasn't performing. He should have tried to show he should be playing but he hasn't done that on the pitch and he has to take responsibility for that. Equally though it seems that Roeder's handling of the situation has been poor which has made matters worse. You can also add the fact that whoever has been playing left wing has been hamstrung by the fact that they have had very little support from the right footed centreback's who have usually occupied the left back spot behind them!

That says more about the guy who sold Speed than the guy who hired Clark Weren't they ultimiately the same fat person?

I like the look of the new strip tbh but it's a long time since I stoped buying them. I still have the blue away strip (the one with the orange adidas stipes and the brewery sponser) but I would only ever wear it to knock about the house in now.

Amadeus - Fantasic film (it must have been to get me to sit through three hours of classical music and opera) only let down slightly by the ending being a bit of an anti climax. -

I think 99% of people feel the same the first time. As I did. Love it now though. I'd agree with that. I couldn't stand it at first but when I watched it again recently (this time not expecting it to be something like Star Wars) I was mezmorised. It's a fantastic artistic achievement. I quite like Alien Resurection although it is clearly the weakest in the series and from what I've seen the directors poorest film. -

Scarface (Original) - Tbh I prefer the remake but this original version is good too and unlike the quite slow pace of the Pacino version it really speeds along. Paul Muni isn't in the same league as Pacino but George Raft is good as his best mate 'Little Boy'. -
Nobby by virtue of him being the only player who looks like he has a brain and his ability to pass and control a ball (I know these should be basic things but the rest of the squad are painfully lacking in these areas). He's also meant that we've had to see less of Carr in the side which can only be a good thing. Butt and Milner would be next on the list.

All the best you happy sod.

I know what you're saying but that doesn't explain or justify Dyer getting an improved deal last time round. It wasn't warrented on his performances but at one point he was being classed as a £10m-£20m player and the board obviously didn't want to lose that potential fee if his contract expired. As it happens his stock has fallen while we have paid him about £4m a year so now if we sell him the most we are likely to get back is the wages we have paid him in the last two years! We would have been better off just letting him leave for nowt and getting someone else in!
