  1. Feel free to pick your favourite part of it. Mohammed Said el Patrokles will love it...
  2. Who I'm pleased to announce has this morning joined Babayarou and Bramble to committing themselves to the club for an other five years
  3. Arcade Fire - Neon Bible I think they might have done another good one!
  4. I watched the new Rocky last night and I must say it reminded me a lot of the first one. Sure it's more ridiculous and the fightings not as good but by the end I was still with him for every punch.
  5. I wouldn't even give him another year tbh. He's nowhere near good enough and although he'll come in and graft and that, I'll be pretty disappointed if we start next season with Sibierski even on the bench. Imagine how much slower he'll be in a year or two's time too. I know what you're saying, hopefully Owen & Sherla will be fit by then and we will have signed someone else too. But I just think with our injury problems the way they have been the past few seasons he's worth retaining for a while just in case. I would hope we wouldn't need to play him in more than just a couple of cup games against lower league opposition though.
  6. I would keep him for a year as a squad player because I really can't see us having enough money to pad out the squad to the level we need. But to look towards having him for another two seasons says some really disturbing things about our ambtions as a club and the brains of Roeder. He's not anywhere near the quality of player we want in the first team.
  7. I can understand Roeder thinking that things weren't great with the defence recently so wanting to change things. But not playing Solano makes no sense however you look at it.
  8. nobby has been consistently our best defender and he drops him. taylor's probably been our best centre half recently and he drops him for bramble....why? the young lads haven't disgraced themselves either yet he drops them all for steve 'form of his life' carr. why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? why? Apart from dropping Nobby, I can see why he did it. Taylor's struggled a little lately, after a good run. I think Huntingdon's struggled too in the last couple of games. And although Solano should have played, I doubt it would have mattered in the end. I'm only defending Roeder in the sense that he hasn't got a lot to play with back there and I think he was possibly trying to play his best defenders to help the new lad out. Taylor was admittedly awfull against Birmingham but other than that he's done pretty well whenever he hasn't had Bramble next to him to panic him into making mistakes. Some of the performances he put in when Bramble was out and he had Nobby next to him were brilliant.
  9. Apparantly he wanted the extra height which was why he switched Taylor to rightback. Still doesn't make any sense like. He could have played Taylor leftback and brought Nobby (possibly our best player this season) in at rightback. Or he could have dropped Bramble (he won fuck all in the air against Young on Wednesday so I don't see why we should expect him to win things against forwards who are an arial threat). and played Edgar on the left.
  10. Sometimes you simply can't afford to buy everything you want (I buy loads tbf) and you just want a copy (from a disk or just off the telly). Most things that I've ever had a copy of I will eventually buy anyway because I like to have the whole package.
  11. Can anyone recommend any good (and free) dvd copy software (for purely back up purposes only of course ) Ta
  12. Manhunter is brilliant but and Cox is superb but I think you have to go a long way to surpass Hopkins in Silence. Assault isn't sci-fi as far as I can remember. Might give Hero a try tonight.
  13. The 400 Blows. Supposedly classic French film from the 60s(?). I have to admit I turned it off before the end, 75 minutes was more than enough to be bored out of my mind. It may be well made or realistic but nothing at all interesting happens. My worst taste of subtitled films so far. Ice Age 2 - An enjoyable film with the possum characters adding something to original team. Pirates Of The Caribbean 2. Not as good as first one, too many threads all going on at once for a film of this type. Johnny Depp wasn't nearly as funny as in the first one and Geoffrey Rush was sadly missed. Hopefully his inclusion in the third will liven it up. I also started watching Downfall which is a fascinating look at the last days of Hitler and his cronies. It shows them all as human beings (albeit deranged ones) and not the monsters that they usually appear as. I'm very keen to see the rest of it.
  14. I never thought Roeder was the man to lead us in the first place but tbf he has done well in difficult circumstances this season. His team selection on Saturday shows why we were all worried in the first place though. For most of the season he's had next to no options in nearly every position but finally he had some options at the back and he completley blew it. Carr and Bramble are fucking clowns who cause panic in the rest of the team whenever they play and have cost us countless points. Nobby (along with Butt and probably Milner) has been our best player this season since moving to rightback . His positional sense is better than any of our other defenders and he talks to the rest of them and seems to organise us into something like a defence. To leave him on the bench is a fucking disgrace and shows Roeder up for the numpty he is.
  15. I was all in favour of us signing Carr as I thought he was excellent at Spurs. But much like our management I should have listened when I was told he had never recovered from the bad injury he had. He's been poor (at best) since he arrived here and this season he's fell way short of that.
  16. What's important is actually doing something about it and trying to keep us on side by spouting meaningless shite.
  17. Can people please stop talking about Martins getting injured. You're gonna jinx him man!
  18. The problem is more than just the last two transfer windows. Since the summer that Bowyer was our only signing we have fucked up every oppertunity to bring players in. Fatty is quite clearly a massive part of the problem.
  19. No I can't really see that scenario happening. I'm fully aware that we are not the club that everyone would like (and lots believe) but we're hardly Torquay now are we. Surely if we put out some feelers well in advance we would have time to work out who is interested (in selling/coming here) and then move on to other options if necessary. And do you not think that by definition if you wait until the last day to try to make signings then you have lost the oppertunity for the player(s) to be at the club and settling to their new surroundings and actually playing games? we didn't wait till the last day, it is quite clear none of the deals lined up earlier on panned out. We can still try other options until the last day, that's why it's called deadline day... iirc Chelsea only sold someone on the last day because it was dependant on another late deal transferring players any time in January is not going to allow them time to settle in is it? No one is saying that we have waited through the whole of January til we got to the last day before starting to do anything. What we are saying is if we had done things properly and started things off well before January started we would have known we had to change targets a lot earlier and give ourselves the time to do this. You can talk to other clubs outside the transfer window to find out if they would be receptive to bids for their players. Manure had Larsson lined up ages ago! The point you make about the Cole/Gallas deal is fair enough but they could afford to wait because if it hadn't gone through they still would have had the quality in their teams to cover this. We do not and therefore shouldn't be relying on something like this. If you transfer a playing on the 1st of January you have a whole month extra to bed someone in than you would on the 31st no? It would also mean they could have played in four or five more games. But that is irrelevant. Because if we had properly planned in the summer we wouldn't have been desperate for players now would we?

  21. I'd love to think that was for a laugh, following Renton's comments about the random shit you post. I fear that would be giving you far too much credit though Again, I would not be surprised if people took it literally. The point being, when do we start contracting players ready for the first day of the summer window? Now? In 2 months? In May? Seriously, how far forward does it have to be to be good 'planning' and getting one over on every other manager who seem to be more than able to start and complete deals inside the window. I'll accept having the players in time for the start of pre season training instead of after the season starts for a change.
