  1. Butt would certainly be in the midfield!
  2. Aye come on Jimbo get your arse into gear!
  3. Tbh I don't see the relevance of his wage. We have to pay that whether he plays or not so we might as well try and find a use for him and if that's at rightback so be it. If we can find a buyer for him then fair enough but I'm not convinced one is forthcoming.
  4. I can see the reasoning behind it tbh especially for England. There is a need to be as attacking as possible against Estonia as they are shite and will keep everyone behind the ball. It was painful on Friday night watching Carragher trying to support Beckham, he's clearly not got that in his game. Dyer should be able to give Beckham support and an option on the overlap, his pace should also help create more space for others in the team and the obvious concern about his defensive weaknesses shouldn't really be at all exposed (especially with the cover Beckham gives). Most really top teams have very attacking fullbacks these days many of whom have been converted from being attackers. Whether or not it could be worked for us, especially against teams with quality on the wing remains to be seen but Nobby has taken to it like a fish to water (admittedly he already had considerably more experience there than Dyer) and that was under Roeder!
  5. If only we had a defence and midfield to match that attack we would be looking pretty well set!
  6. Casino Royale - Not bad at all. Didn't feel remotely bond like which is probably the best thing they could do. The romance wasn't at all believable though.
  7. Unlike Bowyer he's also a player whose game is improving not deteriorating. I do like him as a player, he seems to be the type who will drive his team forward, but we would still be lacking someone with some creativity!
  8. What's the odds on him being in a bed next to Pud and getting an ear bashing from the lanky streak? If he was next to Pud we'd have seen plenty of photos on here by now surely! Photo's of fatty in bed. That thought should see me off food for the next few days
  9. Yeah, they really do look in the shit. Viduka was massive for them, and probably helped Yakubu out as a partner and Woodgate could easilly get an injury anytime. And whenever Boateng gets an injury or suspension they tend to collapse! Such a shame, i mean their fans are fantastic and deserve so much better! I really couldn't care less about them except for as you 'their fantastic fans'
  10. I'd be really fuked off if we lost him to them cockney makems. Don't see them being able to afford his wages like!
  11. Boro are looking in a pretty dodgy situation if you believe what these reports are saying. They're about to lose their best attacker and they've already spent the majority of their transfer budget on a player who is well overdue another injury and was there last season when they were shite anyway.
  12. I like Parker personally and would say he's our best midfielder. I think he has struggled through Roeder's cluelessness and getting his full fitness back after the hernia operation. I think Allardyce make a strong midfield based around him if we had someone who could do the attacking job in front of him. That said, I think a lot of the crowd have now turned on him and he's become unsettled so a move might well be the best bet if we can get this sort of money and a good replacement.
  13. For this reason I wouldn't fancy going into the season with just him as our main striker but if we keep at least one of Owen and Martins, have Shola and hopefully another we would be looking in pretty good shape.
  14. I saw him mentioned in the Chronicle last night. I fucking hope not, from what I've seen of him he's a big plank.
  15. Exactly, I would also add that he is a very skillfull player who has the ablility to open up a defence for others. Tbh I would say he's a cheaper alternative to Gudjohnsen.
  16. I think we might be best off out of this type of thing this summer. There is a lot of work to be done and it could end up being a distraction.
  17. I can't see us going for Ben Haim, Campbell & Hyypia but that lot would be a hell of a start to rebuilding the squad with a fairly minimal outlay. (If it were true of course!)
  18. Spoke too soon, just watched In The Mood For Love which is very similar, but better. Much better tbh, I really couldn't get away with Brief Encounter. I watched Narc the other night. Really dark with strong performances from Jason Patric and Ray Liota.
  19. People who don't stand up to let you past when you're trying to get to your seat. The used to be a bloke at the end of our row who would always just tilt his legs to the side so you had to squeeze past. He was made to regret it when I farted in his face one game!
  20. People who leave ten minutes before the end no matter what the game is like, the score is or what day the match is on. I mean where the fuck are you in such a rush to get to at twenty to six on a Sunday afternoon!
  21. He doesn't have to reduce profits to reduce the dividends, he can simply refuse to issue any dividends to anyof the shareholders. Of course, but I'm more thinking of him being able to allow Sam to spend big without taking complete control and investing his own money. Obviously the worry is the fat man digs his heels in and fucks up our summer. If Ashley can put him in a position where he either sells or risks losing a lot then fatty will have to make a quicker decision. Well if he tries to dig his heels in then we go to Plan B. Do we not have a whaling harpoon smiley?

  23. Surely once he has over 50% he can pretty much do whatever he wants with the clubs resources (i.e. give Sam a great big wedge to spend on players) and risk bringing the company's funds down to a level so as to make dividends impossible. The fat man would be sacked so he would lose his salary, divis and risk his share value dropping. Or would there be some rules to prevent this?
  24. Baines, Gudjohnsen and the fat man out all in one days news. Could it get any better than that!
