His worst film and the twist was comlpetely obvious but I still quite liked it tbh. -
If we only have £20m after selling Martins we are well fucked tbh. And I don't think £20m would get those three tbh!

It will be interesting to see just what Keane can do in the premiership tbh. I don't think it's much of an achievement to do what he has so far given the resources available (just look what Reid & McCarthy did). He will have more money available than previous makems I'm sure but we know only too well that spending money is no guarantee. That said I'm sure we will continue to struggle if Roeder is still in charge (which I'm all but resigned to) so they could quite easily overtake us!

I actually think that running around is a benefit of him and have always liked his style of play. He makes himself available and creates space by unsettling the structure of opposition teams. Of course it would be nice if he had scored more, but this doesn't mean he has contributed nothing to the team. The formula "doesn't score goals"=SHIT is far too simplistic for me. Spot on tbh.

Unfortunately these days there are very few of our players that I like in any respect.

Agree. The last thing you want when you are in this position is a manager like Roeder, he hasn't got the courage or intelligence to change things. And being blase about our situation is tantamount to suicide. Again I wouldn't call what he said "blasé", positive yes, a bit too positive? Maybe. And I still believe no answer would be an acceptable answer here (even genuinely no answer at all al la McClaren). An acceptable answer to me would be: a) Say nothing, or b ) Admit we have a problem and stress how vital it is to take it seriously. And apologise for the state we're in. He hasn't done either. And claiming that in the home leg of the AZ game we played our best football in years makes him look like an even bigger tit, as is stating the fucking obvious that teams below us have less points. Not impressed by the implied criticism of the fans either. There have been a few occasions when he's done this recently (last week he said something like the opinions of people who sit in the crowd don't concern him because they know nothing) and I think it shows how much he's panicing tbh. He really doesn't seem to know what to do. With regards to the statement he's made regarding relegation, it just makes him look like he's not aware of the situation we're in. Had the smoggies and a couple of other teams below us not lost their last two games we would be a lot lower in the league and the situation would look much bleaker. Surely he should have been saying that points wise we aren't safe and need to make sure we don't allow ourselves to be sucked down there. I don't think anyone is suggesting he should be saying we're fucked be he needs to show he's aware of what's going on.

Seen it before, its very good. The Host is by the same writer/director, Joon Ho Bung. Very different film though Cheers, I'll have to watch out for it being on again. It was funny as fuck at the begining when the police kept falling down the hill at the murder site, and when the local cop dropkicked the city one! -

Did anyone watch that Korean Film (Memories of Murder) on BBC 4 on Saturday night? I started watching it and it seemed pretty good but I fell asleep about half hour in. -
Tbh we need a complete restructuring of the club like the makems have had. The last four seasons have been completely shite taking a champions league team and making them look more like a championship club. There is no leadership anywhere in the club and the fans are getting totally pissed off. There is no atmosphere in the ground any more and is getting more and more difficult to fill the place. Unless something drastic happens you will see a lot more people not renewing their tickets next season. If Roeder is still manager and we have not signed at least two top class players that everyone knows by the time the renewals are due I think we will be looking nearer to 40000 crowds than 52000.

Owen apart he has his starting 11 all fit now and what he sent out on Saturday was a fucking disgrace. Two defensive midfielders against fucking site like Citeh at home! Carr starting ahead of Milner! He has not fucking clue of how to make a substitution and he can't work out that Dyer isn't a striker or how to get the ball out to the left wing! He's a fucking moron nearly as inept as Souness. It would be worth losing the rest of our games and finshing 4th bottom just to get rid of the cun,t!

3 superb films right there. Check out Chungking Express if you haven't already done so, probably my favourite Wong Kar Wai film. Yeah I'm going to stick that on my list too. If that 3 month trial is still working I think I'll sign up as wor lass and get some more freebies sent to her mams Watched Lady Vengence on Friday and it was excellent even if I found it a little bit hard to follow at first. The ending with all the families is brilliant. I started watching Fear & Loathing in Las Vegas after it when I was a bit pissed and tired and had to turn it off because it was really freaking me out. Finished of watching it last night and thought it was really funny. Almost like an American Withnail & I! -
Most pumps will reach over to the other side anyway though won't they! Drivers side btw.

City of God is class. And Gemmill's still got my copy of In the Mood for Love. Btw Mr. Kelly. You should check out 2046 if you liked In the Mood for Love. Sounds like an interesting film. It's going straight on my Lovefilm list cheers. -
I predict a decent day in the pub being spoilled by having to go and watch two shite teams playing football that wouldn't look out of place in the park on a Sunday morning.

TBF Kill Bill is massively overrated (especially the second part which was poor) and LOTR is no Star Wars. -

City Of God - Fucking brilliant and frightening to think that this is what goes on in parts of the world. In The Mood For Love - Really good Hong Kong film about a love story between two people who's spouses are having an affair with each other. Beutifully shot with fantastic music. Rififi - Along with the Killing and Resevoir Dogs, this is probably one of the best heist movies ever made. -

Have you seen The Ladykillers or Intolerable Cruelty? I don't think The Man Who Wasn't There is as good as their best, but it would probably be one of the best films to get a wide release 50 out of 52 weeks in the year. I've got Intolerable Cruelty to watch (really looking forward to it now like ) and I've not seen the Ladykillers either (I want to wait until I've seen the original). It wasn't a bad film just when compared to Millers Crossing, Fargo, The Big Lebowski etc I was just left disapointed. And I don't think I like Billy Bob Thornton much tbh. Billy-Bob is a legend tbh. "Heavens to betsy Birdy" Bad Santa? I've never got round to watching Bad Santa for some reason (despite it being on Sky movies all the time around Christmas when I had access to it). I liked him in A Simple Plan but he just seems to be annoying me a bit at the minute and I don't really know why. -

The Departed - Very Good, I enjoyed it more than Infernal Affairs which I also liked a lot. Out Of The Past - Classic film noir with Robert Mitchum and Kirk Douglas. Took me a while to get used to Mitchum in a role that I would normally expect to see Bogart in but thought he was excellent by the end. A Cock and Bull Story - Very funny but seemed more like a tv program than a film. The Man Who Wasn't There - Disapointed tbh. Probably the worst Cohen brothers film I've seen. Renaisance - Really interesting black and white animation but I lost the plot of the film (probably because I kept falling asleep like) and the voice acting was shite for a pretty decent cast. -
Great is overdoing it a tad like. Canny funny though. It's really just Kevin Smith pissing about with his mates. Does have some really funny moments in it but it's not in the same class as Clerks, Dogma or Chasing Amy as film.
