Chinatown? 172574 Bingo! 172577 Classic film. If you like that you should definately like The Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep.

The thought of Vinne Jones delivering some thing that anyone would consider a great line in films scares the shit out of me. 172486 That scares you......pussy Seriously though its the lines i like, i didn`t think this is a Great actors of all time thread? 172528 Fair doos but surely the delivery makes the line too and Vinnie's delivery isn't exacly of the highest standard. It is a decent bit of dialogue though.

I disagree. I just think it's more of the same. -

I never finished watching Sexy Beast but I did enjoy what I saw of it. Kingsley was immense. Lock Stock is unconvincing but I also find it very stylish and humerous and I enjoy the way it all comes together in the end. Snatch is actually better but it feels a bit like it's just going over the same ground as Lock Stock but with more money. -
"Hang on lads, I've got an idea" And Caine's line to Alf Robert's in Get Carter that I can't remember word for word.

Lock Stock and Snatch are both good films in their own right but what they have led to in British cinema is the problem. -

You could fill a whole thread with just quotes from Withnail & I but these are my favs. "Get in the back of the van!" (the delivey is the essential part of this mind you) "I fuck arses. Who fucks arses? Maybe he fucks arses." "£5. You can shove them up your arse for free and fuck off while you're doing it!"

Most of the films I watch are ones that I've bought on DVD. -

Yeah I've got it on DVD. Its a good show and works like an early draft of NBNW but without any actors of that have the carisma of Grant (mind you I don't think there are any), Saint or Mason. Definitely not one of Hitch's best but still a cut above most. I picked up Mr & Mrs Smith and Topaz in the HMV sale the other week but I haven't had a chance to watch them yet. -

Is that the one that's very similar to North By North West? -

Only Seen Casablanca and The African Queen out of those. I prefer F.C. Dobbs to his characters in either of those. I've got the rest to look forward to. 171857 I would agree with Sierra Madre over African Queen but I do prefer Casablanca. The Maltese Falcon and The Big Sleep are classic Bogart for me and with the Maltese falcon you get the added bonus of Sidney Greenstreet and more importantly Peter Lorre. I recomend you stop messing about on the internet and go and watch these now. 171879 It's been on my rental list for a while. I'll have to increase its priority. If I ever see a Peter Lorre film better than M, I'll be impressed. 171888 I've been after seeing that for quite a while now myself. It was on the Horror Channel a while back but I kept missing it. 171916 You'll spoil it for yourself watching it on there. The picture quality on that channel should have it banned from all homes. There's a lovely restored DVD which makes it that much more pleasant to watch. 171919 Unfortunately I have funding problem with that at the moment. I might stick it on my Christmas list though. -

Collateral 171858 Anyone else seriously underwhelmed by that movie? HF - Maltese Falcon, I doubt you'll be disappointed, magnifique! 171882 I was slightly disapointed because I expected a lot from it but I did still think it was pretty good. Collateral I mean, not Maltese Falcon.
