1. That will fit in quite nicely with the plans to Shearer in charge by then! Defo need two quality strikers and another midfielder come attacker pad out the squad now.
2. Or get them first, just in case. 148282 That sounds like far too logical a plan for us. I'm sure we're more likely to go for the 'sell him then try to get a replacement in for a fair price when everyone knows we're up shit creak' route as usual!
3. I managed to find a photo of him in it on the net. I admit I did sometimes watch it but obviously not as much as you since I can't remember him in it at all.
4. It was him carrying on the argument after being told his mistake that I enjoyed the most.
5. He was in boy meets world? I agree he is class and he was also superb in Mallrats. 'Schooner, it's a sail boat you dumb shit!'
6. His new one is out very soon. It's actually the outtakes from Ilinoise and personally I am enjoying it more.
7. Personally I think we should keep him and give him another chance next season.
8. Correct. I'm not down on him, however, I just believe his CV shows cause for concern, and I'm really pissed off we didn't go for O'Neill when he was available, or worse, O'Neill won't come because he doesn't see us as an attractive proposition any more. 148225 After some of O'Neill's performances on BBC during the world cup I'm begining to become a bit relieved we didn't go for him. He's begining to sound more scatter brained than Sir Bob!
9. To be fair to the fat twat, he was probably asked the question and his answer was the same as what most of us think. It's just the Geordie Nation bollox that shows him up as a total cnut.
10. Bet Owen is fucking cringing, thinking "how did I get myself involved with this dickhead of a man". 148103 For fuck's sake someone please make him stop this Geordie nation shit.
11. What do you think of it? I thought it was pretty good but just sounded like the last album all over again and the whole thing is a bit dragged out. No where near as good as Mothers Milk or Blood Sugar Sex Magic. Casiotone For The Painfully Alone - Etiquette
12. I actually think we now have the worst squad we have had in many a year. We have a great keeper, one promising centreback, an excellent holding midfielder, a promising left winger, a quality but ageing right winger and a world class goal scorer. It's a fairly promising shell of a team but beyond that all of the other positions in the team are totally up for grabs and the squad is painfully thin. In an ideal world we would be bringing in two new fullbacks, an experienced quality centre half, two new wingers (or one and bringing Milner back), two or three central midfielders and at least two strikers. That's at least eight players we need and I am considerably less than convinced we will get anywhere near that. We may be forced in getting two fullbacks, one out and out striker and a couple more players who can play in a variety of positions. And more likely than not, none of them will be of the quality we are after!
13. It's seriously staggering to hear that the bloke's still earning a living from football. He didn't look like he'd ever seen a ball in his life when he played for us.
14. We'd all get a shock if we saw him play as oppose to run around the pitch like a rabbit in headlights!
15. I don't think there is any need to panic about Saturdays performance. It wasn't the best we can play but we always looked solid and they never really looked like scoring. The subsitutions weren't great to say the least but I doubt we will see owen taken off again unless we are walking a game or he is injured. I think the only real worry is the lack of strikers in the squad. We basically have one fit striker who's not international class, two world class strikers who aren't match fit, and a bairn who the manager clearly doesn't think is ready. As has been said before, the decision to leave Bent and particularly Defoe behind, in favour of Walcott, Jenas and Hargreves who are adding nothing to the squad, is nothing short of idiotic.
16. Anal is saying that we are deffinitely not interested in Hartson and he will join WBA this week. He also wasn't impressed with Kuyt yesterday so we can't buy him apparently! I thought he looked a good player myself.
17. All of Kevin Smith's films are class (not counting Jersey Girl) but I think Clerks is probably the best. Jason Lee's Brodie in Mallrats just pips Randal as the best character for me though.
18. Sonic Youth - Rather Ripped. Very much enjoying this. I've never really managed to get properly into them before but I think this could do it.
19. It is slightly repetative in that Alex is right and the same thing does pretty much happen each episode. But the fact that they still manage to make them all really funny just makes it even more brilliant. I really love to watch Jason Lee in pretty much anything ever since I saw him in Mallrats.
20. At least it might clear the way for us to go for Kuit. Though no doubt we will probably have to make do with someone like Hartson!
21. My boss made an interesting point today about our current first choice 11. All of them are world names (possibly stretching it a bit for Robinson and Joe Cole) which is not something you could probably say for all of the other teams in this seasons tournament (I know a reasonable amount about European football but I don't really know much about the Jorman team and even the Italian, Spanish, Dutch and French have a few players I know little or nothing about). Looking at our past teams (especially 96) we definitely didn't have players with the same status.
22. I've got nowt against him but I can't say that he's a loss. However, we are now left with only Parker and Emre (if he stays and stays fit) who can play centre mid (not counting on Dyer playing at all at the moment) and possibly Pattison coming through. So we are desperately short of numbers there.
23. Can't see it myself. Art Brut are much more like a punk band for me and I can't see a FF crowd going for that with the more polished stuff that they're used to. Mind you my initial Pixies/New Order comparisson might have been a bit of a stretch.
