Would go along with that, apart from the bit about Ramage not being to blame for the goal. In the first half he actually showed some signs of looking decent going forward to go along with the solid defensive displays he's shown of late. As for Emre, is he another Solano type player, i.e. one that looks good at home but goes missing a bit away from home? Perhaps I'm just being harsh after the game on Sunday. I would also worry about N'Zogbia (who I rate) playing too many games at his age. 62369 Totally agree with the point about N'Zogbia. At this stage of his development there is no chance we are going to see any sort of consistency in his play and it would help him to have some time out of the team at times. Hopefully now Luque is fit we can leave N'Zogbia or Shearer out of a few more games. I'm not worried about Emre away from home other than if we don't start playing more football instead of twating the ball up to the strikers every time we get the ball we might as well go with two defensive midfielders in the midle of the park. Because their only purpose will be to win back possession. And while Emre isn't afraid to get stuck in, that's not what he's there for!

Rammage Parker Given I wouldn't blame Rammage for the goal as I thought he was fouled but he was certainly our only defender who seemed to have a clue about defending. Parker wasn't at his best but was still easily our best midfielder. Emre had a mare.

Right up his alley I would say!

Cheers, that sounds brilliant. At that price its got to be worth a try. 60666 They've been around for donkey's years like - seems you're maybe a bit too old for this new technology. It does assume however that the cassette in your car loads lengthways rather than width ways, because of where the wire goes into the cassette. Most modern cassette players in cars do like, so you should be ok. 60671 If it doensn't you can always get an FM transmitter (although you'll have to import one from the states because I think they're technically illegal over here). From what I've read most people seem to think they're better that the cassette thing. I've got one and it's one of the best things (along with the Ipod) that I've ever bought. 60678 I've got an iTrip and I reckon the sound's better through the cassette thing tbh. iTrips are dead handy though, and good if you've only got a CD player in the car. 60683 I've got the Belkin one and it's really good with the only problem being I sometimes nearly deafen myself when I switch to headphones and forget to turn the volume down. I had a cassette thing for my portable cd player in one of my old cars that didn't have a cd player. It was quite canny but the cassette player had an auto reverse thing on and the sound would go funny when it tried to swap sides.

I think I'll have to stay well away from the Strawberry for a while after this thread.

Well he's going to need to be if Souness is going to fullfill your prediction and take us into the Champions League.
-
I think that's the generally held concensus around here.

If that fuckwit Souness hadn't been such a big baby and been able to manage players properly we could have had Bellamy up front along with Owen and Robert could been playing too. Bernard would have still been here ahead of Baba and Hughes could have played centreback instead of Boumsong (who despite popular belief isn't the best thing since sliced bread).

Should Dyer be considered a regular starter?
David Kelly replied to Django Reinhardt's topic in Newcastle Forum
I can't believe anyone would seriously be worried about what fans would think of Souness or anyone else if we won a trophy (any trophy). Personally I would be so overjoyed at winning finally seeing us win something I wouldn't give a toss. If on the other hand you said that you would be worried that winning a trophy would convince fat fred to keep him on as manager for another season or more of the poor management we've seen so far, I would conceed that is a fair point. But just to be worried about what people will think of Souness is nothing short of pathetic. Btw, what the fuck has this got to do with whether Dyer should be a regular starter? -
Nihat seems like a much more realistic target given that his contract is up at the end of the season.

I've got a ten month old keeping me up half the night man, you can't expect perfection.

Now Sgt Peppers is a pub Actually we usually end up there before the match since our older mates got upset that Pacific stopped selling John Smith's

Aye, because not liking the Apartment immediately means you go to places like Lennon's Jesus, I'd forgot that place existed, what a fucking shit hole! 58951 Sorry Alex, wasn't suggesting that's where you drink. I was just trying to think of where the complete opposite to Apartment would be without resorting to the Labour Club
-
Depends what you like. Personally I prefer going somewhere with good surroundings where you can buy quality drinks as oppose to supping warm bottles of becks in shit holes like Lennons.
-
It absolutley pisses on anything they've done since (especially that turd they released this year). I've always thought it was very close to being an excellent album if they'd just been a little bit more restrained with some of the songs (and not had one that's chorus went on about a magic pie). The Be Here Now song is one of my favourites of theirs.

Personally I like Apartment. It is full of possing tosser's but I don't let that effect my night. It's not cheap but not much different to most places now. The difference is that the drink you get in there is quality (too many bars can't even manage cold beer!) and your in good surroundings. The food is excellent as well and you get to go into the members lounge if your having a meal. Mind you the members lounge is probably the poorest part of the place.

Not as good as Bellamy tbh!

See the two bits in bold. You mention 6 players but they wouldn't have all played. It's far from certain that Carr would do anything better than Ramage, and Taylor has dropped numerous gaffs this season. Shearer is on his last legs, Luque still has to adjust. My point still stands, I think only Owen would make a significant difference from that lot. I know people will moan at what I'm going to post now, but if we still had Bellamy, Robert and Hughes, along with Owen those players would make a difference imo. 58587 Firstly I never said they would all have been in the starting eleven on Saturday (although it's certian Shearer and Owen would have been and almost certain that Carr and Luque would have been) and secondly had those players been available I think it certainly would have made a difference. The experience of Shearer, Owen and Carr would have been good for the team, and I don't think anyone in their right mind can say that having Shearer, Luque & Dyer available wouldn't have given us more of a goal threat. That said I was more making a point about the season as a whole than the Chelski game (one which I would have had little hope of us winning if we had our whole team) and like I said those players make us more of a threat. I agree if we still had Bellamy with Owen and the other players we would have been more of a threat. I disagree about Robert though. I was a big supporter of Robert during his time here but the occasions where he pissed on that support far outweigh the occasions where he justified it (and that goes for when Robson was here just as much as when he played under the Souness). As for Hughes, ever time he played against a decent winger he shat himself so I can't see him performing better than what Rammage has been reported to have played and I never rated him in the centre either. Wheter he would have made the mistakes that Bramble and Boumsong made on Saturday we'll never know but I'm cetainly not going to keep myself awake at night worrying about it. -
I quite like any comedian who can just go off on one talking complete bollocks. I find Eddie Izzard really funny and I think Paul Merton on is excellent at doing that.
