1. It seemed like that but you can never tell just seeing someone one night. He took the piss out of the makems in the audience though which makes him a top man in my books though.
2. When I've seen him interviewed and he's being himself, I find Lee Evans quite funny and a decent bloke. However, I'd much rather smash a brick repeatedly over my cock that have to suffer his so called act. I went to see Ross Noble the other week despite knowing very little of him (a few guest spots on Have I Got News For You or whatever being my only experience of him) and he was excellent.
3. You can't expect players to come into the team and play at their peak beacuse quite simply the team isn't playing well. The players that have been missing have certainly contributed to this but I think a lot of it comes down to the manager not having the ability to get them playing well. He's had his chance to bring in his own faces and I don' t think he's doen too badly at all (Faye being the obvious exception and Boumsong the way he's playing too). But is it really that difficult to sign decent players with the money he's had to spend? How many people wouldn't have signed Owen, Parker and Solano given the money? And we don't exactly have a scouting network at our disposal! Anyway to bring this back to the topic, if we had Owen, Shearer, Luque, Dyer, Carr and Taylor available for Saturday and the season in general, I'm sure it would make a difference to the side and more importantly if we stopped picking up new injuries every week (I would say game but it rarely seems to be happening in games!) and could put out a settled team I think it would make a hell of a diffierence (we would still be let down by the managers lack of ability, just by a lesser extent). And as for Dyer, I personally can't see any position where I would say I would play him ahead of anyone else at the moment. But I think he is a valuable option and he could quite possibly force himself into any of the positions mentioned were he able to stay in the squad long enough.
4. Strange I was expecting this thread to be about something very different.
5. I got stuck on it once when I was well pissed. Every time I tried to step off I kept falling backwards onto it.
6. I've been toying with the idea of changing to Captain Hightop The Love Comander.
7. The pairing of Boumsong and Bramble might hopefully kick start both of their seasons again after a mixed start. It is a worry though that they both tend to pick up injuries fairly regularly and after them we are down to Elliott and kids who are untried.
8. It's never been what you would call classy but you can have a good laugh there the same as you can anywhere if you and your mates are up for it. I'd personally rather go somewhere that's capable of serving cold drinks though.
9. Lampard is almost a dead cert to score (I might have a look at putting a bet on that one). I have to admit I'm not confident (not that I ever am away from home). I would have prefered to play Chelski before they lost a game than on the back of losing to Manure. We would pretty much have to have everyone on top of their game to win this one and I don't think Souness is capable of getting that out of them.
10. Last Fm Radio Player. It's coming up with some excellent suggestions for me and is currently playing Queen - Don't Stop Me Now which I don't know why it picked it for me since with what I have been listening to but it's a classic!
11. The National - Alligator Fantastic album, well in the running for best of the year for me.
12. I'd go with Oasis as long as I could restrict it to their stuff from the 20th century.
13. I'd still give her one myself. She does look rank in the new vid though. Still like her music too.
14. I think Alex is right with Port Vale
15. The bigger ones alright but the skinny bird is quite frightening with those trout lips. She looks like she's been smacked in the face with a 2x4 (which is something I think I would find preferable to humping her).
16. Are they a real band? I thought they were some sort of Spinal Tap type thing that I missed on the telly!
17. Interpol - Turn On The Bright Lights For some reason I've never really taken to this album before despite liking Antics. But today I'm really enjoying it a lot.
18. I'm still using it. I've never had a go of the neighbourhood radio though but it sounds canny.
19. They have done fantastic and all power to them but I still think they will finish in the bottom half though. They could quite easily not pick up a point in their next six or seven games. And for all the decent football they may well have played they looked pretty poor against us and with the one exception of their goal they never really threatened our defence at all. We were just shite that day.
20. And You Will Know Us By The Trail Of Dead - Source Tags And Codes
21. Rammage Taylor Emre In all honesty there was none of them who performed as they should but I thought Rammage had a good first half (second half though he seemed to go with the same long ball route as the rest of the back four) and Taylor came up with some important defending late on. Emre gets in there for scoring and just generally being class but we bypassed the midfield far too much for any of them to be very effective.
22. Anyone care to give me a run-down of Blaydon's history? He gets mentioned an awful lot on here, him and Medina. Also someone was fairly convinced bez was 'Neil' and Crimson Fault showed up around the same time. I reckon I'm just talking to one very sick puppy on this forum, just hope it's not myself. 52267 Anyone want to provide a potted history of Blaydon? I would but I'm biased. :0 52309 I don't know enough about him tbh. 52318 He was just Alex prentending to be an Australian raver who enjoyed four page posts.
23. Hello Kieron how you doing? Major, major asset my arse. Major, major ignorant, arrogant, overated prick. 52339 So, you don't like him? 52347 Maybe Smooth Operator is in fact Lee Bowyer? 52367 Bowyer is neither smooth nor racist tbh therefore I do not compare! (For those of you who don't get jokes - i'm not really racist. ) 52370 Bullshit tbh
24. Did we ever have the chance in reality? It seems like they are suggesting it isn't all down to just pulling muscles but more a medical condition he has, possibly one which he needs to take medication for and it is that medication that is contributing to the muscle problems. At least if it is something like this there may be a way to overcome it!
