He did seem to keep his feet better with his adapted studds yesterday.

He's at Rangers isn't he? Babayarou started off attacking really well when he first signed for us. Since he had that awfull spell he's improved a lot but he still doesn't seem to be attacking like he was. I agree with Alex, I think two fullbacks are needed.

I actually thought we played quite well in the first half especially towards the end. They never threatened us at all and Parker dominated the centre of the park. Shola was probably the better of out forwards at that point as Owen had a stinking first half (which of course makes no difference when he scores two in the second half). Souness still isn't the top class manager we need but when we have a full compliment of players we have a good squad that play some football so he becomes less of a worry. Unless of course your totally fixated with him and can't think of anything else!

Good defensively but he looks limited going forward. I think he was a bit exposed at times with Nobby tucking in a lot. With regard to the marks, I think everyone is subconsciously a little more generous when we win. 51488 I do feel that we would definately benefit from having fullbacks who can bomb down the flanks more. Both Nobby and Zog seemed to tuck in quite a bit yesterday which I think helped us dominate the centre of the park but it also (at times) left us a little narrow. If we had fullbacks who can attack a bit better (Wayne Bridge anyone?) I think it could prove very usefull, especially away from home if we are looking to keep it tight in the middle. Shearer's goal is a perfect example of what we should be looking for from our fullbacks.

He's a young lad who's played very few games, playing out of position & who set up our third goal. He gets good grades for that in my book. Maybe I wasn't watching closely enough though during the period after we scored. I think I was feeding the baby! I do seem to remember that they seemed to have extra numbers on that side of the pitch. Perhaps others weren't doing their job as well as they could leaving Rammage with extra men to deal with. Never noticed any problems with his passing although I though in general his crossing as seemed to be better with his left foot than his right.

Given - 8 Almost as instrumental in the win as Owen Babyarou - 7 Solid Rammage - 7.5 For my money at least as good in either fullback position as Hughes ever was. Boumsong - 7.5 Best game since the opening day Tayloe - 7.5 Strong again but needs to be more alert on corners N'Zogbia - 7 Quiet for the most part but can put in some quality balls. Solano - 7 A bit more quiet then last week but it's nice to see player with some quality on the ball Emre - 7.5 Speaking of which. His set peices piss on Robert's too! Parker - 8 Domiated the centre of the park. Owen - 8 As he said piss poor in the first half but finds space brilliantly and his goals were pure predator. Shola - 6 Didn't get near last weeks performance but still a lot better than he had been. Subs Shearer - 7 Hasn't lost that instinct in front of goal. Dyer - 7.5 Looked very bright Souness - 4 Would have been marked far higher had he not had Faye on the bench!

N'Zogbia is not exactly what you would call a senior first team player and even Bramble isn't exactly what you would call the core of the team but fair enough on him. I was actually thinking more along the likes of Shearer, Dyer, Kluivert, Bellamy ect (obviously I'm not just talking about this season). None of our top players ever have a run out in the reserves when coming back from a long term injury. I can understand there being a bit of a concern about playing star players along with reserves who might be happy to make a name for themselves by injuring a senior player but other teams do it so why can't we?
-
Do any of our senior first team players play in reserve games ever?

Just checked on Sky Sports site and they are saying the decision is now up to Dyer!

I'd take you up on that one but I don't have time to turn round with my little angel. Nearly ten months and she still wont sleep. On the positive side there nearly always seems to be some foreign football on channel five through the night and 120 minutes on MTV2 is usually worth a watch!

What's going on with him? He was supposed to be in the squad for Tuesday and he was nowhere to be seen and now he's not in the squad for Sunday with .com listing him as injured again. Has he had another breakdown that I missed?

Deerhoof - The Runners Four Quirky guitar led (mainly) indie pop with some great melodies and the most bizzare (and possibly annoying, I haven't decided yet) singing I've heard in a long time. I think it's going to end up being one of my favourite albums or I absolutely hate it.

Good job we won last night. If we had got beat we would have felt right tit's with Chelski going out. Let's hope Manure and Arse stay in Europe as long as possible so they continue to play weakened sides and we could have a right good go at this cup.
-
Pretty much what he said although I would have Taylor on par with Shola and Boumsong wouldn't have got above a four for that disgracefull display against fizzy pop league forwards. I think Rammage and Zog deserve an extra mention too for what were excellent displays as young lads in their first derby (especially with Rammage playing out of position and against the unwashed best player).

I couldn't get away with it myslef on first listen but I there was a couple that seemed like they might grow on me. I think I might give it another bash.

I've got a few pairs that I wear mainly for dossing about the house but they're good for a night on holiday when you don't fancy wearing trousers.

Apparently it's looking good for the little trumpet player to make his second debut for us on Sunday.

We could be well fucked without Nobby. Our midfield has been pathetic pretty much since he left in the first place due to the lack of width as we have been unable to provide any decent amuunition for the strikers. Emre will help in that he is actually creative but we will still be far too narrow.

Donna Summer, and aye, shit 46737 Hardly 'I Feel Love' like. Speaking of SAW shite, remember The Reynolds Girls with their classic 'I'd Rather Jack'? Christ on a bike! 46738 can't place that one but I'm sure you are right. 46856 I'd rather Jack than Fleetwood Mac! Classic. Brendan Benson - Feel Like Myself

Film/moving picture show you most recently watched

I watched the end of Devils Advocate when I got in on Saturday. Cracking film but would be shite without Pacino.
