I think when you look at the two teams they're pretty evenly matched and if anything we have the better batsmen (after Smith, Warner, Cook and Root pretty much cancel each other out). The conditions, the unavailability of Stokes and the ball gives them the edge but if we're mentally stronger than we were last time it should be a good series.

I noticed in the report on the sky sports website about this, they made mention that Staveley's lawyers are Freshfields. As far as I can see, Chris Mort is still a partner with them. I wonder if he's playing any role in this.

Think I read somewhere earlier that Wood has been training with the Squad. If he can prove his fitness I would think there's a chance he can play some part down the line. I'm really looking forward to this now, I've got Thursday and Friday off so I can sit up and watch it this week. I'd love to see us shut those mouthy twats up.

I've never liked Coleman, always come across as a prick and outside of Wales his record is average at best (setting Coventry on the road to league 2). I'm sure them lot down the road will read this as us shitting ourselves because they have a class manager now but the fact is without the two class players he had for Wales, they would have never wanted him themselves now let alone a year or two ago. He's a much better appointment than it looked like they were capable of making last week. To put it into context, it's akin to us managing to get Rafa Benitez to manage us.

Really could do with Merino being back. He's been a big miss and his return would be a boost for the crowd.

Finished the second season of Stranger Things yesterday. I enjoyed it a lot more than the first season even though it did have a couple of episodes doing that Walking Dead thing of showing different groups at the same point in time over a couple of episodes. Agree with AH, Ryder is still a belta.

I'm going down there tomorrow so hopefully big Willy is right. Can't see it like so I'm hoping I'm mortal by the time I get there.

Exodus hasn't been getting maintained for a few months now. I still find it works ok when I've used it mind but I think only with RD. Covenant and Poseidon are forks of it so do exactly the same job. If you've not already got them on though, it looks like you might struggle to get them for the moment. Particularly Covenant as it's on the Colossus repo that has been pulled for the moment.

New series of Peaky Blinders started last night. For some reason every time the new season starts I can never remember what happened previously. Thoroughly enjoyable anyway with an explosive ending to the episode. And Carcetti hasn't even turned up yet!

Mission accomplished. That was a close one.

What? It's got HHH in man. Not to mention her off Dazed and Confused. It's my favourite of the lot.
