I think if Guthrie and Barton play a fair amount of games together, with jonas and duff/zog flying either side of them, it could be quite a useful midfield until jan comes along. Barton is obviously short of match practice but given all of his criminal activity he's not a bad player. We've needed someone to get their foot on the ball and pass it about with composure, I think Guthrie and him could have a nice balance in the middle of the park and with a few players around them running into the right positions and retaining possession better it will work nicely. what a monster of a fucking sentence oops =/

Really irritating we left Butt on so long as he was clearly struggling for ages. especially irritating seeing as his foul cost us the game =/

This is probably wishful thinking and something I've hoped for before but maybe the 'wow' signing could be ADRIANO!?!? He's struggled for form recent years, he's mates with Martins, and he could be available given all his problems in milan? Maybe Mourinho's comments about Newcastle the other day could be a little hint as he knows what's going on behind the scenes. IF anyone can get ADriano back to his best and fulfill his potential it could be Keegan. Again, this is probably a load of bollocks and wishful thinking on my part, but the kind of 'wow' signing that could be really interesting. P.S. that;'s the first i have seen of pato, his goal should have stood. He does play much like a young ronaldo (fat one) =) had a little burst dribbling past a few defenders very powerfully, looks like he knows where the goal is too.
