Only read CN‘s piece after posting. At least the club seems to act sensible. Will be interesting to see how this will work out.

I think Liverpool will come back but won’t improve their bid. They will think that we are desperate to sell and can’t afford keeping a player who doesn’t want to be here. But even if it won’t make any sense commercially I hope that we won’t cave in to demonstrate that we aren’t mere pushovers.

I see that you don’t watch crucial Newcastle matches.
-
Red cards, fighting over taking a pelanty, general conduct on the pitch.
-
I don’t think we should replace a selfish cunt with a even bigger selfish cunt on and off the pitch.
-
Regardless of the circumstances but I have to say that I can’t remember being as disappointed about a player’s character as with Isak. His attitude stinks and he seems rather poorly advised behaving like a cunt. It will be interesting to see how he copes with playing for a "big" club when he has serious competition for a starting place.

With Muani we are probably only forcing Juve into finally agreeing a deal

If lego head isn’t performing I can see Arsenal going in for Howe as well.
-
My main grief is that I absolutely can’t understand why we left it so late to get to this stage. A couple of those players might have been available if we had acted earlier, more swiftly and decisively. Not just Trafford but I think going for other players as well. The Isak situation was always bound to happen and we should have had a stringent plan for this scenario. A couple of weeks ago I was pretty confident that we would end up signing the right players to improve the squad and to be able to build on last season’s success. I pretty pessimistic about the outlook now especially as I fear that these shenanigans can have a terrible effect on the morale and general mood. We should have gone into this season from a position of strength but we won’t now.

I fear that Howe will need to work wonders again next season for us to not fall behind again. It will also be interesting to see if also wants to explore other opportunities if a big job offer does come his way after being let down again.
-
Nevermind other teams trying to derail our improvement but our approach looks very amateurish tbh. What the hell was the plan going into this transfer window?

Toonpack will pay you 5p per post unless you embed a video link.

Bild is reporting that our financial package was more favourable up front with less add ons while Manchester’s got more favourable add ons. In total they are about the same, current negotiations apparently are how Manchester’s bonus payments are getting structured, number of games etc
-
I hardly follow German top flight football these days tbh. His stats look good and from what I can gather from press articles he would rather be a good Wilson replacement than one for Isak.
-
Maybe we are also trying for a different player there like Openda who said that he wants to leave earlier in the summer.
-
I think he gets fed by the agents to get things out into public.
-
They are also saying that the player has decided to go to Manchester and that their chief scout already signed him twice for Salzburg and Leipzig where he worked before. It’s all down to agreeing the add ons apparently. So I guess our chance rather is down to 0,00001%.

It’s like they put someone on watch ti alert the big cunts about us trying to sign a top tier player.
-
Sure. I think we need a mixed approach though. Signing the likes of Livramento and Hall has shown that there is value to be found outside the market of established stars though. I would be happy to get Wissa and another experienced player in but take the gamble on some elite prospects as well, for example as an addition to central midfield. If we have to keep Isak I would consider going for Dibling for example.

The atmosphere at the weekend has the potential to be rather toxic. Only Newcastle could manage to use a cup win as springboard into a pool of manure.
-
Exactly.
-
Not different to other clubs but to our current approach. The need of the right people to enforcing it effectively was the whole point of my post…
-
They rejected you because you are from Newcastle. These are still available…
-
On the other hand - and Mitchell might have been right regarding this - we should also be able to follow a different route instead of just signing established international stars and fishing in the same pond as the six cunts. The problem is that Mitchell apparently doesn’t put a sufficient plan on the table that can get enforced. In Germany Frankfurt have an unbelievable director of football in charge at the moment in Krösche. He has been able to spot talented players who are available and can have an immediate impact. The amount of money they made out of transfers in the last couple of years as well as establishing themselves at the top end of the table and winning a European cup is insane. It also proves the worth of employing capable personnel at board level.

Us contemplating about giving Wilson a new deal proves that we didn’t really have a clue about going into the transfer window. The decision of keeping Wilson or going for a replacement should have been made in May not in July. Dealing with clubs in Europe won’t be easy as well as the concept of PSR is totally different to similar regulations on the continent. Therefore Newcastle are always seen as the mega rich club with dodgy owners where you can extract silly money from.
