It’s still a remarkable season so far after overachieving last season. It’s not uncommon for clubs suffering from the pressure and fixture list when comprting on multiple fronts. We just suffer from a mixture of bad luck, misfortunes and stupidity in the dying minutes of some matches. The PL table as well as us progressing in cup competitions would look totally different if we hadn’t wasted results against Liverpool, West Ham, PSG, Milan and now Chelsea. We have been just seconds ot inches away from greatness.

The worst thing about our season is that we stupidly lost two crucial matches because of goals from Nunez and Mudryk.

I am not criticising Trippier, just wondering. Trippier has been absolutely fantastic on and off the pitch. He has an incredible football brain and his leadership has been amazing. The way how he used to instruct other players what to do was a joy to watch. That’s why his recent performances and mistakes have been totally out of character. It looks to me like there is more in it than just tiredness. He has done do much to improve the club that I am not bothered that it were his mistakes that contributed to us losing the game . There have been other factors like players missing and a really awful referee as well. We did also play a team that spent a billion on new players. But we really do need to get Trippier back on track because he is a fantastic player for the reasons I mentioned.

It’s not just this game though. He has been terrible for a couple of weeks now making a series of crucial mistakes.

Seriously. What has happened to Trippier? That’s more than just mental fatigue.

In the dying minutes. We are the anti-Villa. While they strive on confidence and everything is going well for them we fuck it up at the end.

Szoboszlai hasn’t really excelled for Liverpool so far.

They are having a Leicester of a season. They are playing very well and everything is going their way. Brentford would have won if it had staid 11 vs 11.

I feel with you. I am pretty low because I think there were so many opposing for us to make something out of it. But they were clever and experienced. Bon chance tbh

Nah, you’re fine. We never do win anything on days of anniversaries in my family. The cup final would have been my mother’s birthday. Today was my wedding anniversary. I blame my wife tbh.

Howe is still doing a magnificent job. Our lack of results is a mixture of lack of confidence, lack of luck, lack of experience and stupidity but not because of bad coaching.

I am totally deflated tbh. I am not disappointed just deflated. It is kind of absurd that we did go out despite being in the group of death. We only played poorly in the first game. We hammered PSG at home. We should have won against Dortmund at home because of the chances created but got beat because of them being clever. We lost at their place despite playing well and because of them getting a throw in awarded despite the ball being still in play. Then we weathered the storm in Paris until the ref made the most absurd decision to overrule his own correct decision. Today we did gift two stupid goals and were unlucky not to score a second ourselves. Last season we were on a ride and everything seemed to go our way. This season we do have the habit of making it difficult for ourselves. We have hardly lost any games because of playing badly but because of making costly mistakes. It is really frustrating.

I think that you have to distinguish. We gave it a decent shot and did well. But we made it difficult for ourselves. Individual mistakes did cost us again as so many times this season. I am still proud of the team but wished that sometimes we just had been a bit more clever.

Decent 60 minutes but making schoolboy errors again. I would say about 90 percent of the goals we conceded were down to our own making.

I turned it off. Nothing going to happen. We shot ourselves in the foot again.
