  1. His style of play seems not only to be far too intelligent for most of his team mates but unfortunately for most of the fans as well. He wasnt that good! looked out of shape to me. I didn't say that he had a really good game and imho he looked unfit (as well). But because of his ability to keep possession and his understanding of the game (shown in glimpses today as well) it was a sensible decision to keep him on.

  3. There have been a lot David Kelly references recently. But this has to be the most bizarre one...
  4. I can understand people not being happy. But a disgrace? Get a grip ffs. Martins had a good game, but the decision to keep a Owen after he scored and Viduka who normally is better at keeping possession to bring on another (attacking) midfielder for a striker was not really a decision without any sense, especially keeping Blackburn in mind...
  5. Disclaimer: I meant people on here. the couple of thousand that went down there on a work night have my utmost respect. Did they boo when Martins was taken off? I can sort of understand them if they did and I am far from having a go at them, but I think the short fuse of people (in this thread as well) is really annoying.
  6. I'd like to buy a vowel.
  7. It's annoying as his set-pieces at the ANC were quite good actually.
  8. Just invade South Shields and it will be all right.
  9. Well, the result is worse for them than for us. Now three points against Fulham please.
  10. As I am about to change jobs I don't think I'll be able to make it this year.
  11. Imho the critical games are the home games, this is one that can ease the pressure and give the team a kick start. Losing it would be bad but not a disaster. Maybe that's why I am not that nervous.
  12. Does it? I'd say if anything it adds fule to the fire considering the other bit of information. You shouldn't listen to Craig Moore when he is drunk...
  13. The greater patience and optimism is a big bonus though, isn't it. Forget about this made up "Messiah" nonsense, but having a manager that is actually wanted by the majority of fans is making a big difference. After Robson all managers were not wanted by fans and had a difficult job to first convince fans. I am not about fans for results, but a environment of negativity isn't going to help you, especially if you are struggling to make an impact. Of course Keegan is doing mistakes, everybody does. But letting him getting on in the trust that it will get better given time isn't a bad thing. It's a trust people didn't have before. Apart of course from the likes of Sima and Vic/Rico who reel in their attention-seeking approach of acting as Mr. Contrary. You should definitely question yourself if you are in agreement with them. I didn't have the trust in Fat Sam to turn things around. Where did you get it from. He was the stubborn and lacking self-critisism. I seriously doubt that with his "I know best" approach that was conflicting with everybody else's view especially in regard of style of play. And I seriously doubt that we would be much better of in regard to points from fixtures after his sack. Ok, well me might have 2-3 points more. Hooray.
  14. Point is it wasn't and he didn't. Derby should have been one of the "easy" fixtures and all Allardyce could get us was 1 point out of a very possible 6. I just hope Derby win another match so we don't go down in history as the ONLY team they beat in their relegation season of 2007-2008. Allardyce got no points out of a possible 3 from Reading, and 1 point of a possible 3 from the Mackems and as we still have to play them again, let's hope Keegan can do better. Am I getting whooshed or should I have used smilies and crayons? That was exactly my point.
  15. Exactly. I'd play Martins ahead of him but would not lose any sleep in case Viduka starts. In those few cases he actually turned up, he put in mostly decent performances imho. His link up play, his ability to keep possession high up the pitch and his threat in front of goal would actually really be a big bonus in contrast to the brainless things other players do. Just say Martins man, we know you wanted to. For a change I was actually at first thinking of Smith. But I was tempted to write Smith/Martins though... Smith can be our Betega [KevinKeegan/] I wouldn't mind him to be our Bettega though...
  16. I voted 50 cent, don't know which car he is driving though. The bullet holes in the fuel tank could be a problem though. Refilling nine times will setting him back I guess...

  19. I think Zenit have a bit of a problem now...
  20. No, with the debt cleared and the income generated by the club the club would be fine unless the fix cost, especially wages, exceeding the turnover. Gretna were way punching above their weight financially and solely dependent on the donations from Mileson to cover the running costs.
  21. She/he/it should have staid sitting on the toilet.
  22. Nice goal from Diego. Good performance from the Scottish 'keeper (in contrast to Wiese in the first leg, who fucked it up for Bremen in Europe , again). Still a bit strange to see Rangers going that far. I saw the games against Stuttgart (the second even live) and now today's game against Bremen. They should have lost every game by a couple of goals. I wonder who they get next and if their luck continues. If they get Leverkusen I can see it happening. Anyway a quarter final with three German teams would have been as boring as the CL quarter finals tbh.
  23. Having my local team actually seen going bust, it's not something I do wish any supporter (unless he is a Frankfurt fan).
  24. In an ideal world SA would have got enough points in the "easy" fixtures in the first half of the season. He would have kept his job then. Don't know how "ideal" this would have been though...
