Its a good point. Something i thought about last week. I really hope we dont start with one up front but Hughton and is cautious ways suggest we will.
-
I just wish i was Adam Sandler in "Click" then i could fast-forward till the new year when hopefully you'd think the take-over would be complete, new owners ready to spend in the transfer window and this KK compo saga put to bed. At least then we could concentrate on the fuckin football.

That statement was as good as no statement at all. Fucking ridiculous really. Expect the take-over to be affected by this and dragged out even more.

From the Echo.... Matchfile: Ipswich Town v Newcastle United 2:36pm Friday 25th September 2009 By Paul Fraser ยป IPSWICH Wright Rosenior Bruce Smith Delaney Edwards Leadbitter Quinn Martin Walters Counago Carroll Nolan Lovenkrands Smith Butt Geremi Enrique Coloccini S Taylor R Taylor Harper NEWCASTLE Newcastle subs (from): Krul, Lua-Lua, Khizanishvili, Guthrie, Harewood, Ranger, Donaldson, Vuckic. Ipswich subs (from): Lee-Barrett, Stead, Trotter, Balkestein, Priskin, Peters, Colback. NEWCASTLE: Marlon Harewood goes straight into the squad following his loan move from Aston Villa. The striker is likely to be on the bench, meaning that Andy Carroll will start up front on his own. Joey Barton's foot injury has worsened and he will be missing, while Shola Ameobi is still out with a stress fracture of the foot. Suspensions: None Injuries: Ameobi (foot), Barton (foot), Simpson (ankle), Gutierrez (hamstring), Kadar (knee). Leading league scorer: Ameobi 4 Last five League games: WLWWW Next game: QPR (h), 30/9 IPSWICH: Roy Keane has reported a clean bill of health and is likely to name the same team that drew 3-3 at Doncaster, where Ipswich were unfortunate not to win. That means Sunderland fan Grant Leadbitter and his former Black Cats team-mate will start against their old rivals. Suspensions: None Injuries: None Leading league scorer: Walters 3 Last five League games: DDLDL Key player: Jon Walters - has been Keane's best player this season. Last season: N/A Head to head: Newcastle 15, Ipswich 16, Draws 14 Referee: Mike Jones (Chester) G5 Y14 R0 Av:2.96 Last Newcastle game: v Man City (a) 28/1/09, 2-1, Y3 R0 Odds: H 9/5; A6/5; D2/1 It's a fact: Ipswich have only won one of their last nine matches against the Magpies since 1992. Comment by Paul Fraser: Ipswich are desperate for a first victory of the season, which could prevent Newcastle from winning at Portman Road. Prediction: 1-1 EDIT: Lazy Journo

It is mate...typo i think
-
I fuckin hope you lads are right though! Id rather Nolan in there middle with Smith ahead of Butt......can you see it though?
-
With 5 players injured (Shola, Jonas, Kadar, Barton and Simpson) and one suspended (Guthrie) this is probably the 1st game of the season we are going to see how stretched we are! Likely line up? ---Harper--- --Raylor---Saylor---Colo---Enrique-- --Geremi--Butt---Smith--Lovenkrands-- -------Carroll----Ranger------- Subs: Krul, Kishanishvili, Tavernier, Nolan, Lua-Lua, Harewood, Vuckic Harewood would only of had one days training with the lads but could start i guess, i dont really want Geremi to start but i dont see Nolan going out right or moving Smith or Butt out there so he is really our only option unless young Tavernier starts at RB and Raylor moves to the right wing which i doubt. Gonna be a tough run out but hopefully the boys will bounce back after a miserable outing midweek.

Not a fucking chance!
-
If FMA has agreed to it then why wait until friday to sign him only allowing something to go wrong and us not having him in our squad for saturda?
-
Lighten up man Holden McCock! Well done fella good look to ya!

Peterborough United 2-0 Newcastle United (League Cup R3)

Im of the same opinion. Christmas Tree.....I dont think anyone wanted us to lose, who does, but what alot of people were saying is it isnt a MASSIVE blow. There are positives to be taken from it although the performance and result isnt any of them. Concentrate on the league for now. No new injuries to key players in an already small squad. Important run outs for the young lads. Not all bad mate. -

Taylor is a senior player, Guthrie isn't in my opinion. Like Lovenkrands should be called a senior player but he's only played about 10 times for us. Aye but Guthrie has started nearly 30 games for us. Point still stands...they should be setting an example. -

2-0 down, not a bit of positive play from us, they've hit the woodwork twice...do we bring the seniors on or do we keep faith in the young'uns? Keep the faith i say. Hughton needs to let Taylor and Guthrie know they are the senior players and should be setting an example out there. So many times the play has bypassed our midfield so our striker have had NOTHING to work on. Take Donaldson off, put Smith on...get a bit of fire and spark in the side for second half. -
What he said! Think the Ibrahimovic, Eto'o will turn out a very good move. Looking like a horrendous move at the minute. Ive seen 3 or 4 Barca games this season and hes fluffed chances in all of them Granted but the quality of the lad will show through in that side.

Getting played off the park. We've not had any possesion or passage of play. Steep learning curve for the young lads. Guthrie and Taylor need to put there foot on the ball and start passing it about, all just a bit rushed. Raylor having a stinker but he is at LB. -
