  1. Just a thought, if we sell shay to citeh and MJ isnt part of the deal, id quite like to see us go in for James Morrisson of WBA, talented skillfull CM. 5mil bid would be about rite id think.
  2. Well i think it takes some balls to make his re-appearance at home to sunderland in the current situation tbf.
  3. So does this mean that you think if Ashley gives Kinnear a bit more wedge for the next few days and lets him have this extended contract then all will be good? Since Kinnear has been here, I have seen nothing from the team to suggest that Kinnear deserves the job on a long term basis. Im sick of his bleatings, think his tactical decisions have a lot to answer for and I doubt that under his stewardship, we will see anything better than lower half of the table Rob...im not saying it will all be good, it will be "dig and drive" stuff, an uphill battle. But this is the situation we are in, we have to stop thinking we are going to get a "miracle worker" manager in who is going to dramatically change our fortunes. I think id rather settle for stability for a couple of seasons under ONE manager, albeit not the best manager in the world but remember he is finding his feet again, and i do think he has something if only his tenecious nature. Yes i agree about his constant bleatings, but i take them all with a pinch of salt, sometimes he speaks alot of sense and sometimes he talks shite. But as it stands mate we have to make do with what we have, i dont want another season of upheavel so let him stay for ONE more season id say.
  4. I like your thinking bud I'd go with the team and how it will opperate, hopefully we'll have an announcment at some point tonight and we have Ryan Taylor playing instead of Taylor or Edgar at RB. I too have a feeling Nolan will get a debut goal, thinking a bullet header, if R.Taylor is confirmed and available, id hope we got a freekick late on for him to curl it home and become a hero haha im going with 2-1 to the boyz!
  5. Its brave or stupid, probably the latter, if we win and play well he'll escape the wrath but should we collapse and lose to the filth id expect him to be long gone before the fulltime whistle. I still think he's made massive mistakes, but they are not beyond repair, he has a few days left to go someway to easing the problems. Should we make some more good moves from now until the end of the window and we kick on and stay up then id be willing to give him a second chance in the summer, but things need to change in the close season. The thing is, JFK is building HIS team now, so i've a feeling we will be under his courtship next season too. Not such a bad thing if it means we can steadily build and progress. Wise? well...he has been repsonsible for the signings of guthrie, gutierrez, bassong, coloccini, nolan which are all decent/good signings...on the other hand he has brought in Shitsco and GONEzalez, but everyone gets it wrong at times. Id be happy for him to stay if he his "Executive Director" tag was removed and it was made clear he ONLY suggested players to the management staff and not having the final say. I dont know if im having a day of madness, or is it clarity? i dont know...i just see a little light....im just not sure what it is yet.
  6. http://www.timesonline.co.uk/tol/sport/foo...icle5622791.ece No mention of RT, hope thats included in the 6mil.
  7. Iv got that feeling too, seeing as we look likely to get Ryan Taylor i dont think Onuoha will be one of the players to let go, iv got everthing crossed that Man Citeh Throw in Michael Johnson. Midfield of... Gutierrez Johnson Nolan Duff With Butt, Barton and Guthrie in back up for the engine room. Maybe thinking to far ahead i think we'd need cover for both flanks come the summer.
  8. Yes id be happy with 5mil + Ryan Taylor, and say we get 5mil + Michael Johnson for Shay that would give us about 15mil'ish (5+5+6mil left of speculated transfer budget) to go get a LB and ST. Wouldnt be so bad if.... In... R.Taylor (PX) M.Johnson (PX) K.Nolan (4mil) P.Lovenkrands (FREE) L.Beines (5mil) J.Saviola (5mil) Out... S.Given (5mil + MJ) C.N'Zogbia (5mil + RT) Geremi (2mil) 2 Mil net spend in the current climate. Id actually be pleased with that. Id not be bothered about CNZ and Geremi leaving, although id be sad for shay to go im confident Harps can step up to the plate. Got some big gloves to fill though.
  9. Same team, but Nolan pushed up a bit further. would go with that hopefully though we will have taylor signed Totally agree, iv got a sneaky feeling Nolan will get a debut goal, bullet header in the 1st half, Guti and Duff will interchange flanks i think. Smith, Martins and Shola got any chance of being fit or a place on the bench anyone?
  10. Only if we are getting money plus RT! RT is out of contract at the end of the season where as CNZ has 3 years on his contract i think? Would be madness if there was no moolah involved, that being said nothing suprises me about this regime.
  11. Ryan Taylor would be a good signing as he can play RB, LB, RW, LW and a great freekick taker. 1.5mil Michael Johnson id love to see here and if we are to let Shay go to citeh id hope MJ was part of the deal, got a good strike on him and is fairly creative. Part Ex Kevin Nolan, industrious, powerful strike, battler and good in the air. 4mil Peter Lovenkrands going off his time at Rangers, can get a few goals, pacey, good touch and versitile, remains to be seen what he'll bring though. FREE Albin Elbondo pacey RB good cover for Beye and natural successor. 3mil So that would be 8.5mil of the quoted 10mil we had to spend, and assuming we'd get a bit of moolah as well as MJ off citeh for Shay id imagine we would lodge a 5mil bid for saviola? I think we would have a chance but a slim one, he mite favour moving to a club with fellow argies (Coloccini and Gutierrez) But whether he'd want to move to a club scrapping at the bottom is another story? Would be a decent replacement for the injured and soon to be departing MO though.
  12. Its not just dropped its hit the bottom, a couple of teams around us have a game in hand and if we dont get a win on sunday which looks unlikely we are screwed. Carroll and Smith upfront BAH Geremi and Butt in the Middle BAH Edgar or Taylor at RB BAH Enrique BAH Given leaving BAH N'Zobia BAH Transfer activity BAH Im fuckin fed up, really i am, if we now dont go out and get a RB, LB, DCM, ACM and a ST we are fucked. A Mahoosive outlay is needed and some shrewd loans. NOT GONNA HAPPEN
  13. So whats the likely line up? Harper Taylor Coloccini Bassong Enrique Gutierrez Barton Geremi Duff Owen Carroll Oh my Taylor will get shagged all night if robinho plays, Geremi will be pulled apart by ireland, Duff will spend most of the night chasing Wright-Phillips. Saying that id hope that JFK would put duff in the middle instead of geremi and played lovenkrands out wide. Heres hoping we get a lucky chance early on and owen or carroll take advantage of Big Dunne not playing. Not hopefull at all if truth be known.
  14. Id be satisfied with: In.. Lovenkrands Ebondo Mbia Johnson Out... Given Geremi Im resigned to the fact Shay's going so as long as we get Johnson that will smooth it over i guess. Iv more than enough faith in Harps steppin to the plate and Krul as backup.
  15. I dont want him to go but im resigned to it as long as we get MJ in return and a little bit of wedge, less for MA to pocket.

Well we are the only club in the PL with this system, and look where its got us! Speaks volumes really. I agree he should be made "Chief European scout" or something along those line's where his soul purpose is the bring in talent for the future. Your other scouts should be the ones who scour europe and further afield for more "ripened" talent, players who can gel with 1st team affairs. They should only be presented to the management team (Manager and assistant) as suggestions. Isnt that how MOST clubs run? Not to mention the top 6. I hope one day very soon that MA wakes up to this, i know he has somewhat stabalised the clubs financial situation. And its all very well making moves to build a squad for 3-5 years time, but there are more pressing issue's. Finding players for the here and now, and DW should have NO part in that. On the other hand, i dont particually have much faith in JFK in realising quality players in the positions we need. Saying that, Ebondo and Mbia would go someway to ease my concerns. Then for a LB and cover for RW/CM... Baines and Skelbred anyone? Although two loanee's in those positions would probably be the best best until the end of the season.
  17. Sell Barton? Fuck NO! I too would make him captain, he's a character and he's vocal, and i'v always sided with the idea that your captain should be a centre half or a central midfielder...NOT a striker, and yes before people chime in about Big Al, he was a good leader but a midfielder is my preference, someone in the engine room. I quite like the idea of him and guthrie, i know some disagree but i think it would work well giving a run of games. And the idea of Mbia and Barton is an even better one. I just hope we push through this deal.
  18. The what? Can't believe Arsenal are after him like and I'd be quite surprised if Villa were. Good move for him though imo. Epitome....Fuck off alex
  19. He is the apitimy of un-professional, overated and primadona... Fuck of charlie we've all had enough.
  20. Are we really paying this clown 35k a week? Even so there was no transfer fee so £840,000 really isnt a bad outlay for the options he'l give us intil the end of the season. We really need to sort our wage structure out, the guy was on a free why not see if we could of got him for significantly less, its not like anyone else was beating his door down to get him Well while agree with you mate, he is quite experienced. I think had he been in his 30's then you could of been more suprised at the 35k wage. But i just cant see how this is a bad move, it increases our stock, adds maybe another dimention to out somewhat paceless side and its not costing us much. Though if he is the only signing in january i will be very VERY annoyed.

  22. Regardless of what people are saying, or other opinions, he cost us nothing, he is experienced, he is pacey and versitile. It can only be a good move for us, whether it be short term or whatever. Lets just hope he doesnt do his hamstring ay.
