Aye thats what i reckon, just goes in, gets the job done, theres no hassle about him, i thought he'd struggle but he's been top notch I liked him when he first came but the more I see of him the more I think he's a tart tbh. Not good enough IMO. Correct. Looked good in the CC but in the premiership his lack of positional awareness gets him caught out time and time again. Ppeople still think he is decent because he puts a few good blocks in. Blocks that he wouldnt have to do if he was more aware positionally. I'd love for us to finish above Bolton and we go get Cahill.

Williamson is an average defender, but you can't underestimate how important his partnership with Coloccini is to the team. That was Pardew's biggest mistake yesterday, unsettling the unit at the back. Especially with Guthrie on the bench, there was no need. Not that i think Guthrie is any good out wide particularly, but it would have meant the back 4 left alone with Simpson on Arteta instead of Taylor running away from Arteta and Guthrie whatever people on here think of him, would have offered more going forward than the other two did yesterday. This. I think we can only hope that Pardew learns from this. This.

This season and last we have seen just why we paid 10mil for coloccini. He is top class. Imagine if we had someone like Hangeland alongside him instead of Williamson who im starting to get pissed off with. Taylor is decent but you'd think at his age he'd cut the shit out of his game?

Kalou is a good shout, good pals with Tiote too i think. Can play as a front man or across the midfield...6mil? Hooper is another good shout, looks quick and composed upfront...celtic will probably want 4mil for him, they would probably want to tie Forster into the deal though. Lens would be one of my top targets. Not sure on Gervinho though...not seen much of him.

Actually a very good post. I said before the season we would finish 13th so i was not for one minute then nor now expecting europe OR a top 10 finish. Our team has suprised me this year but you could be onto something in the sense that it could be false security. We could think we are better than we are because the league has been so tight and ordinary as you say. For me though we do have the makings of a top 8 team going off individual form AND team spirit. If we can keep hold of our key players and bring in a few quality players and a couple of squad players then i dont see any reason why we can challenge europe next year. One thing is for sure is that we need to address the home form and sustain our form away from home. Overall become more consistant. I'd be happy with 10th this season now.

From what was a very positive situation before last weekend, to what now is a fairly negative one. Everton win their game in hand we will be in 10th and 3 points adrift. Going into a two week break for the players to dwell on 2 poor results and looking behind them rather than infront. This was always the danger when the league is so tight. But we really should of kicked on and distanced ourselves from the chasing mob. Two weeks running we've not taken a great chance and looked poor/overwhelmed.

Simpson...was shite at both L and RB, just didnt pick up nor put balls in that he is capable of. Enrique....didnt look bothered, lax and lazy today and when taken off wasnt bothered. His hearts gone. Williamson...shocking positional play all game. Taylor....Shite Coloccini...best of the 5 but nothing special Jonas...Yes looked lively and carried the ball well, few good balls too and credit for stayin on pitch but still didnt do enough for me. Nolan...few good runs, few good passes but was too slow to finish a couple of good chances Tiote...bossed midfield again but even he got caught in posession far too much. Lovenkrands....SHITE Best...lead the line well, got a poachers goal and would of had another if he didnt push. Shola...can he just stay through the middle? Shite man. You seriously tellin me your pleased with the "effort"? Come on mate we were shite today.
