He'd have to drop the good auld boys Barton or Nolan to do that. And yes you're correct it will be Barton starting on the right, constantly cutting in and leaving Simpson exposed. Or he will put some quality balls in from the right and Simpson on the overlap? Im happy with that...lets see how it works. Well...No. Martins, Viduka, Owen, Given, Milner, Bassong and N'Zogbia are all better than what we have now. Thing is though all of those didnt want to be here, didnt want to wear the shirt and when they were playing they didnt give a shit. Where as what we have now is a squad less technically gifted but all fighting for the cause. I think we have a squad capable of staying up comfortably....comfortably being about 12th but as for talent we are a long way off what we had. If those players who left actually wanted to play for us, actually felt for the club then we wouldnt of been in this situation in the 1st place.

Were playing a team who are currently bottom of the leauge, only two points between us. What is there to be optimistic about? A single point in three home games, and were the only newly promoted team not to be in the top ten, worrying. And i still was referring to the majority who are doom mongers. I agree that the home form is a worry but its "early days" ffs.

I just dont think that a negative attitude is going to help things much. What happened to keep the faith? If 52k turned up every week thinking where going to get beat then that will filter through to the players. Why not just be positive? Read 'the secret' man.

Some of you on here are really negative chaps arent you? Saying after 8 games we will get relegated....ffs theres another 30 games to go and we have already seen that we can beat top teams i.e villa and everton. We battled for a point away to wolves which isnt an easy place to go, we battled and were done out of 1 or 3 points away to man citeh. I understand the main point of concern and its this that has some joining to doom and gloom brigade, and thats the home form. One win, one draw and 2 losses at home is relegation form i agree, but, there is alot of minutes to play and im confident we will pick it up again at St James Park. Have faith man. We dont have a fantastic squad but we do have a GOOD squad. I think if CH can be a little more offensive in his tactics then we can stay up and comfortably.
