  1. In the past under KK, SBR and to some extent RH we were undone by being too "gung ho" albeit entertaining for the fans and the neutrals. Now though we are being undone, AT HOME, because we are being too fuckin cautious...the ironic thing is though we actually are quite good attacking wise. Holding our nerve and concentration are massive attributes in games like this and its proven once again that although we look a good side, the problem still remains.
  2. Lets be honest here. Yes Stoke came here with a game plan, a good game plan, and it worked. They are a tough team to beat.....AWAY from home. At home however, this is twice we or should i say Hughton has got the tactics wrong!!!! Taking Ben Arfa off and bringing Gutierrez on was the right move but with the wrong outgoing player. Routledge has offered fuck all and should of been the blatantly obvious choice to take off. Why the reluctance to play Gutierrez and Ben Arfa in the same team? But even before all tha,t we started with Nolan up top with Carroll...4-4-1-1 or 4-5-1 at home to Stoke? Get a fuckin grip man. That said, our performance? Shit. In spells we moved the ball well, looked decent with the ball but done absolutely fuck all with it. Really fuckin frustrating! Losses at home against Stoke and Blackpool are certainly not what we need......Chris Hughton.....give ya head a wobble man.
  3. Gotta build on this now! Barton running the midfield and tiote looks good again. Get gutierrez on for routledge whos been wank. If ben arfa stays wide more then cuts in with the ball the we could get more out of him. Early goal after half time and we should batter them tbh.

    Australia

Yeah mate done the assessment for the visa which i passed obviously. haha. And yes i can "Apply" for the Visa itself if i want to pay £200 right now, which i dont. What im trying to find out is how much exactly i need in the bank to get into the country? Some say its $5000 AUS Which currently is about 3 grand, but then some people who have went recently are saying its nearer 2 grand our money. I mean the real bugging thing is that they say you need $5000 each to cover initial living expences. But a little research says rent for a NICE 2 bed fully furnished apartment is $1000 max, $5000 a month each. Which to me "initial" means the 1st month considering its said to be very easy to find work if your not too picky. Hmmmmphh

Thats ok...il be annoyin them with me finishing most sentences with "Dya know what a mean like?"
  6. Tbh like its been said already, to win it we have to beat the best, whether we actually have a chance of winning it is another story. Im actually quite happy with the draw and i hope for another good cup tie. Win Win situation really....Win and we beat another top team and progress with the motivation that comes with it. Lose and we have more scope to focus on our league form and winning the FA Cup
  7. G'day boys and gals! Me and the mrs are planning on fuckin off to australia for a year or two. Been looking about the interweb for information about visa requirements and how much money we NEED to enter the country, accomodation in Queensland (Cairns and Brisbane preferrably) and work in those areas. Has anyone on here ever done this before and have any advice? Whats the cost of living like in comparison to here? Also any info from the resident ozzies on here would be helpfull. Thanks in advance.
  8. Exactly what I was thinking. Carroll back tracks enough to act as Nolan, plus is quicker lol How many times we seen big Andy in defence? Scrap Nolan, and double our aerial threat Nice idea but have you forgot who our manager is?
  9. SKY will be showing this for years. ......Or maybe not. Robbed of a pen on saturday, still went on to get the win, iffy pen and 6 mins stoppage time, still got the win, well done lads, would've been easy to feel hard done by. These fucking refs are shit though. Tryin to stay grounded but fuckin hell man but us going down could be the best thing to happen to us. Went down, come back up invigourated and looking a whole lot better for it.
  10. What a fuckin night! What a fuckin game! What a fuckin result!! Fair enough Chelsea put out a reserve team, but so did we! And they played a few world class players too. We bossed the 1st half and looked good early in the second until that predictable onslaught from chelsea but we held firm and sooopa shola becoming a hero!! Ferguson looks a handy little player with a great final ball. Smith was shit as per. Lovenkrands done fuck all. And a note on Vuckic...i had high hopes for him but tbh out of the reserve league he looks shit. That said im fooooookin delighted! Never seen this coming!!
  11. can anyone pm me a river please?
  12. River would be nice thankyou please!?
  13. Would like to see Vuckic, Kadar, Ben Arfa and Tiote to start too.
  14. I did think that. Sods law aint it! Im confident that Krul will be more than able though.
  15. The ref was shite for both teams, he got loads wrong. Aye but i dont care about what he got wrong for them...its what goes for or against us that im bothered about.
  16. 5 games into what looked like a tricky start to our return to the Premiership, how do you think we are doing compaired to how you thought we would be doing at this point? Yes, yes, yes its still VERY early days but i think the signs are encouraging for sure. A spirited start against Man Utd before the inevitable and usual implosing and then defeat....did we really expect anything different? Even the top TOP sides go there and get pasted from time to time. Then a very good, clinical and professional job done on Villa at home albeit slighty unexpected and against a poor brummy side on the day...all the same the signs were good at this point already. Played the "Development Squad" against Accrington Stanley and maybe were fortunate to go through, but a good run out for the younguns and where still in it. A battling point away to Wolves who on the day set out to rough us up...very happy with the draw. The "Wake Up Call" last weekend was exactly that...we just had one of those days when it just wouldnt happen for us, over confidence? Maybe. And now Everton away, them on the back of a good draw against Man Utd i thought we were in for a much tougher challenge...thankfully and deservedly for us WE were actually the better team throughout and were well worthy of the three points...finally that little bit of magic is back in our side! So 5 games in, played 3 of the top sides two of which was away from home, played a fellow promoted team and a team whos always going to physically batter you away from home. Won 2, lost 2 and drawn one...scored 8 and conceded 6.....7 points from 15 and sitting in 5th Not bad at all really. Il stick my neck out and say we will finish 10th. Comfortably.
  17. I fuckin haite fellaini...glas the pude haired fucked missed that sitter! Although that miss as well as the shot which hit the post was mearly making up for that blant penalty which wasnt given! Anyone think that refs mite conspire against us this season?
  18. Sounds like Harper will be out for 2-3 months, for all its sad i am quietly pleased that Krul is going to get his chance now. So if Krul is going to be starting for next few months, who will be on the bench? Soderberg? Or will we recall Forster? Whats the odds we didnt put a "call back" clause in the loan agreement!?
  19. What a game and what a result!! Not a fluke neither, a solid and worthy perfomance from every single toon player today! Beating villa and now these scouce twats has shown that we are more than upto premiership standard. A battling draw away to wolves to be happy with more than makes up for last weeks 'wake up call'. All in all a good start to the season. I thought ben arfa was outstanding today! Definitley the player we have been lookin for for a long time. Tiote looks an assured and inspired signing too! Much needed performances from barton and nolan must be mentioned aswell. As too a solid game from Perch. Williamson again sounded steady and composed and finally andy carroll....even without a goal played very very well today. Very happy indeed. Well done lads!
  20. 1.Alex Ferguson 2.Bobby Robson 3.Mourinho 4.Arsene Wenger 5.David Moyes 6.Harry Redknapp 7.Roy Hodgson 8.Martin O'Neill 9.Kenny Dalglish 10.Tony Pulis
  21. Tiote and Ben Arfa set to start according to the chronicle. I think its obvious Tiote will replace Smith but who will Ben Arfa come in for? My guess would be Routledge although id rather it was Nolan or Barton. Likely line up? ---Harper--- --Perch---Williamson---Coloccini---Enrique--- ---Ben Arfa---Barton---Tiote---Gutierrez--- ------------Nolan---- ---Carroll------------ Probably the right way to line up away from home. At home is a different story though. 2-2 Barton and Carroll
  22. As a captain he is goin to have an influence. Personally barton is the one to be dropped. Rotate ben arfa with nolan upfront and in midfield simultaniously.
  23. NOTW I too hate villa...almost as much as the mackems and spurs, but after that interview i have a respect for houllier. As for Owen, words cant explain the hatred i have for him!
  24. We were absolutely fuckin awful today and Hughton has to shoulder the blame. Then the players. When the manager has a negative mentality at home against a team thats been battered a few times already thats not exactly going to inspire you is it? Then again on the wages they are on the players should be inspired anyway. Worst of all after Hughtons "Im big enough to drop players and make big decisions" earlier this week, he once again proved that he is a piss weak manager who fails to get it right when it counts. We can moan about players not being good enough all day long but the buck stops with Hughton imo. I still feel we can and will stay up, there ARE 3-5 worse teams than us, but Hughton HAS to drop big players (Smith, Nolan and Barton) and be more positive with his teams and tactics. Sort it out.
