Keegan saying he's heard Tiote's away noo I fuckin hate Ashley we should be more than big enough to keep these players

Which Shola turns up is the pivotal factor in this game, if it's the real Shola we're fucked, if it's the five times a year Shola, it could be a good day.

Howaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaayyyyyy!!!!!!! From being in a state of hungover pessimism, see our team sheet there has given me new hope. Our midfield IS BETTER than their's don't care what anyone says it is. We have a chance today, especially with it being a 12 o'clock kick off. The dippers will be wrecked, shite atmosphere apart from the 3,300 Newcastle fans in the Anfield Road End. 0-1. Howay. What we need to do is get hold of it in the first 5 mins, remember when we played Arsenal, first 15 minutes Arsenal didn't get a kick, just slow tempo knock it about, we're better footballers than them in midfield, that's not being deluded neither.

If you chuck 1000 darts at a black board you'll get a treble twenty at some point. You're being hugely generous about him. People say Ginola's best 6 month were his first and it was down hill after that, he was still good in 96/97, when Dalglish came in Ginola's form completely nose dived. His body language before that UEFA Cup QF against Monaco said it all, and that was down to Dalglish, his tactics, and the fact he's a prick. I remember we played Forest in the Cup with largely the same team that beat Man Utd 5-0, three or four month earlier, Forest were bottom of the league, and we had two attacks all game and lost 1-2. Tactically, impact wise, strategically, direction wise, from where we were he was THE WORST manager we've ever had. I don't know how anyone could've took us further back than he did in such a short space of time.

It's a struggle to decide whose drink induced posts make less sense, Stevies or CT's Show me an example of a drink induced post by me please! Apart from "Thems".

This is totally the court I'm in. And for starters he wasn't Keegan. I don't care how rational you claim you are, the loss of KK was horrible to take and I don't think any manager would have been up to the same standard in most people's eyes (yes, even SBR). Fact is we had become a PLC and the rules changed - it's partly why Keegan wanted out, he knew what was around the corner. I know for a fact Dalglish didn't want to sell Ferdinand but the club told him the Shearer money had to be repaid and that he was on his way. The deal to sell Lee Clark to Sunderland was completed by Keegan as well I'm led to believe (KK managed to delay the deal by 6 months though). Worth noting too that despite his many years as a manager, his 18 months at SJP amount to the only time he managed a club that wasn't in private ownership. As FFS said in his interview with Talksport, Keegan cited the PLC as a reason for leaving in January 2007, and in Shepherd's words "it was an excuse as it wouldn't have made any difference". The fact is it had little difference in effecting the resources Dalglish had to do his job so I feel that's irrelevant. He spent a lot of money and signed a lot of duds, the Ferdinand thing, if he'd have dug his heels in he could've kept him but £6m for a 30 year old seemed like good business anyway, and given his injuries at Tottenham I'd say it probably was even now. The PLC is an irrelevance in this argument about what an absolute disaster of a bloke, that cunt was for this club.

Without any doubt the 80's was the best music decade, and I'm a 90's kidda really. I loved the 90's too, but far more classics in the 80's. As kids everyone used to stop playing in the streets when TOTP came on, it was like a highlight of the week on a Thursder neet at hapast 7.

All NE's that don't start with 3 are fine One thing I didn't mention, if it is £5 billion, and I knew it wasn't 10's of millions as NJS said, put this in to perspective. The cut backs in our country, where the effects haven't fully hit home yet, and will cost tens of thousands of jobs, are only saving 6 billion. One billion more than we've sacrificed for this on this scandalous day. It's actually obscene. All of this bollocks about how much the money the Royal Family bring in to the country via tourism, as Ketsbaia said on twitter, how the fuck do you calculate that? -

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/news/uknews/roy...conomy-5bn.html There ye are. £5 billion. Fucking obscene. The cut backs are only going to save £6 billion. Lets all live in fluffy cloud cuckoo land where everythings pink, and farts smell of CK1. Ah I forgot anyone who looks at this negatively is only do it for a hardman image. Disgraceful. -
Completely agree, Carroll is blameless almost in this, I've had this row with loads of people, I mean fucking hell the helicopter engine was already running, there's no way the club did enough to keep him, they wanted the money and any idiot should be able to see through Pardew's propaganda every time the subject is breached. I hope Dalglish gets more abuse than Michael Owen though. Then why did he hand in a transfer request? As Chez has explained he was put in an impossible position. He went to great lengths to tell the Chronicle and Steve Wraith that his hand was being forced, coupled with the fact he's a young hugely impressionable lad, arguably with a low IQ, his agents in his ear, the club aren't playing ball, they have a helicopter waiting for him, I wouldn't feel wanted neither. The club had the transfer request written ready for him to sign, I firmly believe that. The contradictions in story during the day even from David Craig being fed bollocks should've shown you what was going on, and regardless what you believe this quote by the idiot that is Llambias 6 weeks after the transfer deadline was closed and Carroll was gone should tell you everything.... An admittance that the objective throughout the month was to sell him. Not wanted, helicopter waiting, thick, agent in his lug, upset, no room to negotiate, and I believe genuinely wanted to stay, but was forced in to a corner where there was only one solution.

It's going to generate 107m for the economy. not a bad return on 25m. in fact. it's about the best return on tax money one could ask for. An extra public holiday costs the economy 10s of millions - I'd be astounded if the overall balance was positive. 100s of millions more like, the point you make is what I was going to say however. The economy has had a days business taken from it. There are what, about 230 working days in a year. So putting it simplistically you are removing 1/230th of the days where business can take place in the country. You might think so what. The economy is worth about £2,000,000,000,000 so taking 1/230th from that is well, well, well in to the hundreds of millions of pounds. As for CT's comments about people who view today's events negatively as wanting to create some sort of image, absolute bollocks. There are many millions of people who think this isn't something of benefit for the country. Tell that to hospital wards who could've done with this outrageous funding. We're talking about one of the wealthiest families in the world, WHY THE FUCK should we pay for it. It's 2011 not 1901. -
I wonder if he would if he played for Real Madrid rather than Barcelona.

Understatement of the century. He is THE worst manager we've ever had, it would be impossible for even Souness to have made a bigger mess of it than he did. As I said he did more damage to NUFC from where we were than Souness, Ashley and Allardyce put together.

There was a few of the older lads on another thread agreeing with my assertion that he is the worst thing that has happened to Newcastle in the last 50 years. He is. He ruined one of the biggest clubs in Europe in about 18 months, don't laugh at that we WERE one of the biggest clubs in Europe on a few different levels. I remember Hagi and Stoichkov saying that they respected us and wanted to sign for us at the time, we were the FIFTH richest club in the world, and that bastard just took us apart. I don't even need to list who he got rid of and who he replaced them with, you all know. It took us years to get over his dismantling of the club, and Shepherd can not be blamed for his appointment, because lets be honest nearly everyone at the time thought it was the right move for loads of reasons. Not least he'd won a lot, plus his top relationship with Shearer. In one season he managed to half the goals tally we'd scored, and before anyone says he was unlucky with injuries, we still should've had enough and he invested in Andersson during the season, he was a joke. Gullit was blameless in my eyes, was a car crash when that poor cunt came in, and only someone like SBR could've done the salvage operation he did. To add insult to injury after fucking our fantastic club up, and that's what we were, every cunt wanted to sign for us, I mean we were like trying to get SAF at the time and with straight faces, Dalglish got THREE MILLION in compensation. Disgrace of a man. His latest antagonistic comments today ""I'm sure when Newcastle signed Alan Shearer they didn't give too much consideration to Blackburn Rovers fans, but that's football. What goes around comes around." Fuckin cheeky bastard. What goes around comes around. Is that antagonistic or not? This is the first time we've faced him since 1998 when he left, and I wish I was going to Anfield, I hope the toon fans respect Carroll, they won't, and give this twat who was a disease in our club pelters.

Sorry I don't usually moan though do I? I'm nee Tecato like I say, I just well I've said everything I wanted to say. I'd rather the country spend £25m on your and Midds wedding than that pish. One of the wealthiest families on earth, Phil's gan "ah its areet Liz the daft tax payer will sort it oot". Fucking disgusting on so many levels. -

£25m for something that will last 5 years, I don't want to sound like Tecato, but all I'll say is I have lots to say about this ALL of it moaning, which is what I've done all morning on twitter. These royalists man they come from no where, no one cared yesterday, they're like Liverpool fans, but the royals have even more blood on their hands than them historically. I wish there had've been a tornado or summik in London today. -
Absolutely spot on mate. To be fair it's just the younguns who are stuck to their linnen about him, but very well put, agree with everything you have said. Messi hasn't got the charisma of Maradona never will have.

See I'd say aye great goal, but not as good as the Arsenal goal and no where near the to 20 goals I've seen in the flesh. It's like people have just started watching football, it was CRIMINALLY bad defending. George Best wouldn't have scored that goal because there's no that much skill involved not many dummies he just changes direction at pace which you could argue is a skill in itself, but Best wouldn't have scored that goal because in them days and even the 80's he would've been chopped down, four or five times, it was like they were frightened to put a tackle in. Even though you're basically give a year or two my age, I put you in the Y.A.I. brigade too mate. I've said Townsend talks shite, Messi did nowt until Real went down to 10 men and basically agreed it was a good goal but no more. Clearly I'm impressionable by you. I think you're going as overboard in the opposite direction as anyone is about it being the greatest goal ever though. Show me Mark Noble or Owen Hargreaves scoring a similar goal. Daft comparison imo. tbh

Dave Beasant's whilst he was buying mushrooms in Wm Low has to my oddest one... Gary Pallister at Wimpy's at Teddington Services when he was still at Boro was a mad one, after they'd drew 3-3 at Spurs. He patted me on the head and said good lad.

Reminds me of Motty's commentary in that game at Old Trafford against the Czech's "Moller and Sammer have been tremendous today, Germany bossing the midfield........KUNTZ"
