Aye but are you going to give him hell for this Stevie?? http://twitter.com/#!/DavidMccreery/st...870027313389569 He's Irish and not a modern day mug like 99% of footballers these days tweeting pish about moobs and fuckin Nando's. Boring cunts. So I'll let him off. Eats at Pizza Hut anyway. One of the less common places I've got a player's autograph I got Scott Sloan's in Bimbi's (worst chips ever) in Eldon Square, and Darren Jackson's in top shop

"Beat" 2, "ran past" 3, danced around all 5. It was a really excellent goal but not quite worth the jizzfest - of course knowing that a player can't tackle you and using that to motor past him is great to watch but it's not quite as good as implied by "beat 5 men" - just saying. Exactly. See if Owen Hargreaves or a Mark Noble scores the goal, it gets voted third best goal of the week, it's Messi so it's from another world and it's the usual chimps you'd expect losing jizz over this goal. You're talking shite Stevie. And on top of that, Messi makes a habit out of scoring goals like that, other players maybe score one of those in a lifetime Fuck off you doilum*. I'm not talking shite, it was a good goal, it wasn't one to cause car crashes, and is only being talked about it in these terms because it's Messi. Impressionable young people watching TV are taken by Andy Townsend's and Peter Dreary's pish. * see my comments about the usual chimps and what I expected them to say about this goal.

Just to let yous know, DAVIE MAC is on twitter @DavidMccreery is on twitter I'd much talk to Davie Mac than some of the modern day footballers. Class player, what he lacked in physical attributes he made up for in desire, he was old when I saw him too but he loved the toon. His last tweet is saying we're the best fans in the world.

Yes brilliant footballers always make amazing managers don't they. It was funny though to see an insane person managing a national team. As you mentioned his drug use, does that not reflect badly on Maradona when compared to Messi? Would he have had half the stamina or speed without his marching white powder? Would he have had the energy to beat Terry Fenwick had he not snorted 3 ounces of coco before the game? It's funny you mentioned that, I was just thinking about that a couple of minutes ago, if he had any toot up his snout after that goal. I mean if you do the charlie often it's effects are really intense for about 10 to 15 minutes,he could've went to Billardo "just away for a piss" just before coming back out because Maradona's goals against England were in the 49th and 53rd minute iirc. You might have a point about that goal.

Who's using that stick? All that people have said is he's not achieved what Maradona has yet. If he does fair play to him, doubt he will though, that's just my opinion. He's got a chance of a longer career than Maradona though, because he's happier playing Kings of War 10 on the PS3 than he is sniffing toot off a hookers tit.

The term "also rans" was referring to ANY team that was in the Europa league as opposed to the champions league really. Their "also rans" have won 4 europa leagues in the noughties, and ours have won 1. We couldn't get a team into the quarter final, Liverpool or Man City. Oh dear. Fulham got to the final last year. What difference does it make?!?!? Liverpool chose to largely play a reserve team. Think your arguments through, it's not all about pie charts and venn diagrams in real life sonna.

Exactly, herein lies the problem. Nostalgia interrupts debate and a conclusion cannot be reached. (However I am in the Fat Ronaldo camp) Get Messi in to the Premiership where more than ever any team can beat any other team you'd see how good he is. He's going to be in the top 10 or 15 players of all time, I don't dispute that, but largely he was mediocre in the world cup, the greatest stage of all, if he conquers that, or goes to a club like Napoli and single handedly wins 2 titles on his own, then you could start classing him in Maradona's league. One thing I can say with certainty, he will never have the charisma of Maradona. As a Napoli fan, careca was a massive player for Napoli, and the entire team was not bad.... at all. Maradona was great but his argentina side of 86 would probably have had a field day against messi's team of 2010. the point i'm making is, we are making a judgement too early, messi is what 22 or 23 and as such is a far better goalscorer (numerically in terms of goals scored for the same age) than maradona already. He also plays with comparatively better footballers than maradona in his club side. I thought last nights goal was exceptional. i think he'd adapt easily to the premiership. but would have to play exactly as he does with barca. i.e. free, false nine and no 10 all rolled into one. The bit in bold is total rubbish. Argentina 1986 were devastatingly mediocre, the only two other players of note were Jorge Valdano, who seeing as though you mentioned him, was no Careca, and Burruchaga who's playing career highlight was playing for someone shite like Montpellier or Nantes. Arguably along with Italy 2006, the most ordinary team to win the trophy, they really were the stereotypical one man team. I doubt they'd have even got of the group without Maradona. You're right about Careca though he was a good striker, and Ciro Ferrara a good defender and I always like Carnevale, but they weren't Milan, certainly not Barcelona 2011, and Maradona was more than just a catalyst for Npaoli.

Ye should be on Britain's Got Talent yee like. Anyone who wears them can get them in in 10 seconds. I've had mine since I was 17, best invention ever, still considering lazer treatment though.

When you consider bottom half sides like Boro and Fulham made the final I'd agree. ...and both got beat in finals off superior Spanish also-rans Sevilla also rans the same Sevilla who were leading La Liga with 3 weeks to go that season, who were only 5 points off winning it. Also rans Atletico second biggest spenders in Spain last season, with the a £40m rated striker playing up front with the World Cup player of the tournament. Also rans Must try harder. I'm confused by your point then. How's the Spanish league so much more pish than the English? I must have misread. You used the term "also rans". Fulham and Boro are also rans. Sevilla and Atletico are the equivalent of Liverpool and Tottenham, whereas Boro and Fulham are the equivalent of Racing and Zaragoza.

Barca and Messi get praise no matter what state they're in is my point, it's non stop adulation deserved at the time or not. Ya know what messi did until those goals? fuck all squared, but for 70minutes you'd have thought he'd levitated over the stadium at some point with some of the comments about his game thus far. (not on here btw just in general between commentators and twitter etcetc) Affely for instance was decent when he came on, beat marcelo for pace and set up a goal, which was barely acknowledged. We're we watching the same game? He was all over the pitch. linking play and Real couldn't get near him! Ronaldo on the other hand had 3 freekicks in good positions 2nd half and you know what he did . . . 2 hit the wall at knee height and the other ended up in row Z. Your comments about him getting better service too Messi started and finished both goals if you watch them again, the 2nd after beating 5 players and the keeper single handedly. Not sure how that equates to good service? :D Five Two at the most Diarra didn't even attempt to make a tackle he puts his hands in the air like a Compton dealer surrounded by LAOB Count them! I have he beats two men, absolutely woeful defending. He doesn't score that against a good defence, and probably doesn't against a side with eleven men.

I hate that cunt eamonn dunphy He is a twat like. Him and Jackie Charlton never saw eye to eye. It is funny the post match stuff, its just 4 grumpy old gits Who's that Irishman, who sounds a tiny bit yank on ESPN, he's about 65 but always comes across like he's on a good cowie.

Look at it above. I hope there was plenty Kleenex around last night for you. As I wrote before the game on Twitter, he just needs to scratch his arse and the commentators are all "oh look at that from Messi", it's a good goal, watch it again, it's a contender for goal of the week, but only an idiot could say that's even in the same league as Maradona's goal against England. Absolutely woeful defending for that goal last night, but Messi exploited it, fair play, decent goal, and that's the end. Connor Wickham scored a goal 10 times better than that, three weeks ago, and very little is said, so get yourself cleaned up and take it for what it was. The difference being that Connor Whickham's wasn't away in the Champions League semi-final, against your biggest rivals, in what is the biggest fixture in the club calendar. That's fair enough, but from a defensive point of view it might as well have been J69's Chester Le Street & Sunderland League Division 8, and even then if I was the manager I'd have bollocked them. Fuckin "Lass", he was a like a lass in that instant, he could've stopped it straight away, and the defending got worse as his run continued. As for Ronaldo and Messi, it's not something you can definitively prove who is better, plenty say Messi, noblemen of the game like SAF say Ronaldo and I agree. The defenders in La Liga are pish, if he scored 31 in 34 games like Ronaldo did in the Premiership I'd take my hat off to him but the 1 in 12 record against CFC, MUFC and LFC says a lot in my opinion, and he pulled up nee trees in the World Cup neither. Ronaldo hardly set the world on fire there though either. Playing up front on his own largely left to chase long balls, I'm hardly surprised.

I don't think in any of the sendings off this season they have been as the result of lack of discipline. My definition of ill disciplined is chasing after the referee like Barcelona do, like Man Utd used to do under Keane's captaincy. Even when he was in England Chelsea's disciplinary record paled in to insignificance compared with Arsenal's.

y is bergkamp there? Because he is a massive cunt i guess i had that one coming. ok, what has he done to make him a cunt? ( i always thought he was a bit like zola, a true professional and someone everyone liked) Bergkamp would be on my bench, unbelievable player, but a sneaky dirty bastard. One of the dirtiest players in football but he always did it in a sly way, stamping on players feet etc... Always reminded me of a SS man.
