  1. If ever a team deserved booing off, it was that lot tonight. 5-1, at home to fucking Birmingham. True, true, but I still hate it, silence is enough for me, soft cunt I am. So yeah, maybe justified this time, but I still hate it. I'm not a fan, and had I been there I wouldn't have booed (it sounds so fucking stupid) but I think they deserved it tonight. I was, but more weird was "we can see you sneaking home" from a corporate box. I'm glad someone was 'brave' enough to have a word. On the whole, people in those boxes don't go often so have no business telling people not to fuck off early. I hate people leaving early usually and I've never done it since I missed a Damien Henderson goal for Hartlepool when I was about 8 and my dad wanted to get to the car, but when the 4th went in tonight, I was a goner.
  2. Ditto Pattison. At least Ramage got away with it for a few games, cos when you're defending, you don't need much technical ability a lot of the time, but Pattison, Christ. I fail to see what he offers as a midfielder that is more than, for example, me. He can't even do the basics.
  3. Will it not be a three match ban for a straight red? I've lost track of the stupid suspension rules like.
  4. My ticket's still sat on the kitchen bench. I'm gonna frame it to commemorate one of the most inspired decisions of my life. Bastard.
  5. I haven't been through the bad old days like some of you, but that is the worst Newcastle United performance I have ever seen and it'll take some beating in future. Don't really go for the OTT abuse usually, but fuck it - I hope LeazesMag feels like the fucking thick retard he is tonight.
  6. These two were particularly poor. I'd say Fulham and Bolton were just as bad, if not worse. Tossing the lead away so easily at home was appalling.
  7. Only 4 on the bench or is the 5th player Luque and you just leaving him out as there is really no point him being here? Pattison in the middle... this could test my night. I'd expect Dyer to play in the middle, Milner right, Pattison left.
  8. Don't think anyone's said Friday's Child - Will Young.
  9. Like Dave, I can only apologise for inflicting some of these planks on you of late.
  10. Apologies for this everyone. PM me with what you want your email to be, Vic, on here I mean.
  11. My grandparents used to live in Washington, on the Garden Estate near to Usworth School and right next to the RC Primary School, so I recognise some of them. The Kite Festival ffs.

    USB problem

It's a laptop so there will be power management, yeah. Not checked the BIOS, but it was fine earlier today so I assume so. As I say, my external hard drive and mouse work fine as ever in the USB ports.

    USB problem

Nah, the ethernet port is just knackered, doesn't pick anything up, hasn't for a while. I've managed to get an old wireless card working, so it's not too bad, no way of connecting to the router with a wire though on my computer, which might be a problem in future.

    USB problem

Ok, so I've got broadband again and it's fucked already. I'm using the router plugged into my computer via USB (my ethernet port just will not work) and I went out for a couple of hours this afternoon and left it on downloading. When I got back, the connection was dead, despite the router working and my mate's connection working fine. It then hung on me and when I removed the router USB connection from its port, a blue error screen flashed up and it shut down. Now, when the router is plugged into any port, the computer won't boot properly and won't enter stand-by, but it will do both no matter what else is plugged into any of the 3 USB ports (mouse and external hard drive). Can't figure out what the fuck's wrong with it or why it's suddenly knackered, anyone got any ideas? Otherwise I'm going to have to go to PC World before 8 and buy either a bastard USB to Ethernet adaptor (and hope the USB ports work with that) or a new wireless card.
  15. It was a terrible day and most people who remember it well think 'there but the grace of god'. In reality it could have happened to any of us at that time, big crowd for a semi, decrepit ground, total chaos with the emergency services etc etc. I was at Hillsborough more than once for semi finals in the 70s and 80s and it was truly dreadful. The problem is that, at that time, the Liverpool supporters refused to accept that part of the problem was caused by their own supporters. This is still the case, just as they refuse to accept any responsibility for those awful events in Heysel that resulted in 39 Juve fans persihing. Don't get me wrong, most other sets of supporters would have done exactly the same as the scousers that day when they opened the gates of one section prior to kick off. I just don't understand what 'justice' they want? There was a whole litany of fuck ups that day from their own supporters, groundstaff, police, emergency services. All had a role to play in one of the darkest days of English football but in refusing to accept their own supporters were partly to blame they have constantly refused to face up to the truth. There have been other dark days in our game, at Ibrox and Bradford to name just two but nobody seems to want 'justice' for them. All of us realise the horrors of seeing your husband / wife / son / daughter go off to a match and not return but surely this constant campaign can do nothing but bring back the nightmare these people suffered. I've made exactly the same point on N-O. I really don't understand what they want, and to me it seems they don't either. The only thing the Liverpool fans seem to be showing a united front in is rattling on and on about it until everyone else is losing sympathy for their cause.
  16. Tbh I'd quite like to see someone try and fight GeordieMessiah, Jesus Christ.
  17. Good to see you lot again, and some new faces (well Renton's new face), disappointed I couldn't come out afterwards, but it was good craic, and on behalf of everyone from N-O, I hope you all have a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year.
  18. From 19 until he was 24, Drogba was playing for Le Mans in the French second division - 64 appearances, 12 goals. It's not unknown for players to get better after 21 years of age!
  19. No it isn't. Glad we cleared that up.
