A lot of the players we are selling / letting go might not seem too bad at the time: Viduka - strong but injury prone and slow, Owen - not interested, Martins - Pacey but awful first touch and poor footballing brain, Jonas - runs and runs with no end result and so on. In that sense it may not feel so bad. Trouble is, who have we replaced each position with?

Kinda came to the conclusion a bit back that under MA, any single player could be sold without any consideration being given to the effect on the team. Of course I'd liked to have seen Beye and Bassong stay. But, as we're now a championship side, I equally can't expect any of these players to stay. Being realistic. Its literally time to forget the team we had and look to rebuild from scratch.

Similar thing happened to me and I just cancelled my DD. In the end they asked me to pay one months notice period which I just done. We all suspected that Ashleys aim was to buy em cheap and make a high return on sales of those that turned out to be decent. This fits that bill nicely. Except that he is used to the mark up from his failing sports stores and not football. The price for Given was a joke and I think Beye and Bassong should have went for more. Mind, got more for Martins than I expected which was odd. Still a loss on the purchase though.

Only thing is that the more we do that the more he will think fuck you and sit there and rip the club apart....
