  1. Quite a bizarre conversation. I've got a box for the Valencia game. Lass just rang me to ask if we could take two boxes of 8 rather than one of 16? I said no, but asked why? All she could say is that because of what Id no doubt read in the press it was causing some upheaval but she would know more in 48 hours. Puzzled me a bit. If if was owt to do with investment or a new player, I doubt that would mess up boxes? or am I missing something?
  2. It was Sun Ji Park he tried to skin but bar that moment of madness he has been solid for us. About as solid as my shites after an Egg Fu Yung from Newbiggin Hall chinkies. Do you mean the one actually in NBH with the guy with the hair lip? OR the one at cobblers corner (westerhope like). The latter is prob one of my faves, Id recommend the satay The one at Cobblers Corner (Lotus) has been shut down by H&S more times than I can remember. The one I'm on about is right down the bottom of Trevelyan Drive, never noticed his hair lip, butthen I wouldn't as I get them delivered. Aye the Lotus. Used to love that place. Shut down or not Never get there these days like unless Im over the club to see a few of the lads. But aye, the other one used to have a lad who had a hair lip. Mind, this was about 10-15 year ago. Anyway, I still reckon we need a LB, though Id rather have a forward.
  3. Saha will be at the Mackems. Not that thats going to help much unless the rest of the team come down with something

  5. I'd be a total spelling/grammar/retardedness fascist if I were in charge of recruitment to any extent. I'd like to take the Viz approach to it - toss half the CVs into the bin without reading them. After all, you don't want to hire anyone who's unlucky. Not a bad idea
  6. Someone sent me an email applying for a post in our company recently and at the end of the email wrote "tks" instead of "thanks". Amazing how quickly you can find the delete button sometimes.
  7. I'd take it no problem. Not only that but I reckon he'll be one of the higher wages as well. Get rid, but we do need a new forward (whether he goes or not).
  8. Was the lolly nice?
  9. Boggles me like. Two stories in todays sun. Same day, same newspaper: and
  10. I've a feeling this is one of them people I probably should have heard of but haven't?
  11. My God This is a shining example of someone who indeed has no clue what is means to live and breathe your local club. Thing is, many clubs need their far away support. those that have become attached to a club through their style of play, their success or whatever. Thats how I see torres. Fair enough. thing is though, he can't begin to question what it is to support your own club as us, and many supporters of other clubs do for the club most certainly need those also. Being owned by a non-local or non local players has fuck all to do with this. Its about the club, the club is more than its players or owners, you dont identify the club by those. Its identified largely by where its from, its colours and its home support.
  12. It is multi choice fella, I voted for 3 players Bollocks In that case Id add Shola & Geremi. Id keep Barton for now, also Duff & Faye for now.
  13. All news being reported quote NOTW as the source.
  14. I voted Smith as I think he will be the biggest earner amongst those I want rid of. Needed a multi-choice poll tbh.
  15. Yeah cause you americans are shit hot on the old finance front. Like giving motgages to people without jobs then selling the debt all round the world to ensure we are all dragged down into recession with you. You have my number, ha ha, do me a favour you're a teenage yank. Ive got you're number: You're a phoney ... long term loans cheaper than short term? :nufc: You fool. You never even mentioned the credit crunch or market liquidity? ... because like football ... you really know fuck all about it. I've seen right through you ... you've never even had a mortgage, otherwise you wouldn't have posted that crap ... You couldn't even define a recession without google and even then couldn't explain it. Great little feeder bitch though! Now bend over .... A. I can actually, a recession is defined as two month of negative economic growth on the bounce. B. So are you trying to tell me that an interest rate on an overdraft would be less then one on a loan / bond? C. The credit crunch is a relatively new issue and didnt exist before MA took over and paid of Newcastles debt. Mate you are making yourself look a prick, i am afraid its you who hasnt got a clue. I suggest you pay more attention next "semester" because you come across as a real special needs case. Seems like your evening classes didn't work out too well ... 'special needs' cases are spurs fans who desperately try to convince others that there club is worthy of notice when in fact they (like their supporters) are hapless. The Credit crunch is not a new issue you dumb dumb, I suggest you stop pontificating about things you know nothing of (that includes football btw) and go take on a new evening course and don't stop till you start shaving. that'll cut him in two like
  16. Thats two different things though. He's came in, cleaned the club up, and if he sells for what he's put in I have no qualms about that. Before him we might have been gambling with high wages and big signings and I enjoyed it (some of the time) while we did. Fact is though, it got us nothing. If MA has came in and made the club more attractive for someone who wants to build the club then good. If MA doesnt want to sell and has made the club a better business, then good. I dont get why people insist on bashing MA? Even if he's come in to make a few £££ but improved the business side of the club, so what? We were hardly breaking into the top 6 before, more like edging closer to relegation candidates each season.
  17. Thing is, if Ashley was to walk away now we're in a solid state as a club, just needs some investment in players. We have a sound stadium and academy etc. Perhaps we need our turnover increasing or wages dropping (as the ratio is too high). If Abramovich was to walk away from Chelsea they'd be fucked. I dont want us in that position. That said, if we were bought out may a far east company, they would I assume market us over there a hell of a lot and that would increase the commercial income and make it possible to have a higher wage bill.
  18. Least if it did happen we might get some decent food at the game......
  19. Playing devils advocate here. what exactly has Ashley done wrong since coming giving that we're now a debt free club in Prem?
  20. Frigging hails stones yesterday at the coast like
  21. I agree with the positions like. Id also go for Bullard. Stands out in that side by a mile most games as he did when they came to SJP. We do need a forward like. Smith and Shola just shouldnt be counted amongst our forwards and we know Viduka and Owen will miss games throughout the season.
  22. Aye this was all over Sky News this morning as well. Mainly talking over the possibility of Anil Ambani buying the club
