Its hard to argue againts the facts. On paper this is far from a good appointment. But so many (including myself) think that KK can do more here than he would at any other club. Why? I've no idea. What I do know is that he left both Fulham and City in a better position than he joined them. Thats all I ask here. Do I expect us to win the league? No. Simple as. Not even close. But, what about the Uefa cup? Sure, why not? Even if we do jump from our current mid table side to a top 7 side, it will be done in a way much much better than it was appearing under Sam. I dont mind saying Id be happt if AS accepted a role as a no2. Or even as a coach of some kind. If he wants to be involved in a way other than manager then good on him. Bloke is a legend to the club. I wouldnt go as far as to say he can do no wrong, but I fail to see why people seem to bare such a grudge? He could hardly come out and say he wanted the job when Sam was here as that wouldnt be professional. Now that Sams gone, when he was asked he said he would be interested. On MotD he said he hadnt considered a no 2 role but said he would talk to KK if asked. I dont see what the issue is?

He is certainly heading in the right direction and I think his game will come on loads under KK. The formation in the middle from last night actually looked pretty good. Not sure how it would fair against stronger opposition though.

I wouldnt sell him. Yet. Id at least give him the rest of the season to see how KK uses him, also to stay fit. If he proves he can stay fit for the rest of the season and we wanted to move him on we'd get a better deal than now. But like I say, Id rather bide our time and see if/how KK uses him.

Re-reading I Am Legend. Fancied reading it again after seeing the film. Its a good read. I thought the film was ok but as usual the book is much better.
