Well, your software like the OS has no effect on the BIOS. You should be able to get into the BIOS no matter what problems you have. Are you trying to get in the BIOD as it boots up (by pressing F5 or whatever it is). I assume you are getting into the BIOS to tell it to boot from CD so that you can boot from your XP OS disk?
