Agreed. The town is totally shite. Too busy and too expensive. I remembner a few years back paying £80 tickets for the town. That was getting into three clubs and drinks all in. About what Id have spent anyway, but it was still shite. Over hyped. I used to be well up for it, now Id be happier having a few friends round and making a curry or something.

Obviously you have to expect the being shot at bit for signing up. But, Im all for giving them support if they return home missing a limb, poisoned or whatever. Its all very well saying dont sign up if you dont want to get injured, but the package they get hardly amounts to their career being cut short (footballer who by the way also gets support from the pfa in some cases). I also think they'd have trouble getting critical illness cover from their insurers. Im sure the government would much rather pay the few cases needed for injured soldiers than hike all of their packages up to cover the possibility. Fact is, you cant say dont go if you dont like it. Its a career not a sentence and people would just stop signing up. What I dont think though, is that the individual should sue for damages? I think there should be a standard package put in place. If this happens you get X and if that happens you get Y kind of thing. Of course, this also opens up the debate about whether the govenment is providing the required amount of funding to supply those who need adequate equipment to reduce the number of injuries to begin with.

GS had to go when he did, and I can also understand bringing GR in as cover for the remainder of the (last) season. His going to the likes of Man U to defend and so on. Whatever happened when ( I assume) FS spoke to other managers I dont know, but I do tend to think that GR was the easy option. I usually fight it off as long as I can then eventually give in after the blackpool illuminations that is my street set off. Actually, they aint that bad. Most often mid december. I actually like Emre, but id let him go for that amount. I think we are covered enough in the centre with Dyer, Zog, Parker & Butt. I would maybe like to see Butt replaced as I think he is avg at best. Parker is worth keeping baring in mind also the new uefa ruling on homegrown talent. Well, trying to find how I can get it to report low GP%. I can get a report that shows GP£, but just want it to also show the %. Then Id add in a perameter so that it only showed something like those <10% or whatever. Also, I have a problem with a letter that includes o/s invoices. For some reason, if I charge carriage on an invoice the letter is only picking up the carriage value not the whole invoice value. But, if no carriage is charged it is showing the full invoice value as it should.
