If its corned beef, tatty, onions etc then we called it corned beef hash. -
Ok I'll wind my neck in a little as you make part of a good point. I agree in some charities there is greed. These tarnish the real ones. But I can see both sides. If you work as a door collector imo it should be free. Volunteered. But if no one will I can see why they have to pay someone. The problem is also where a charity starts doing good work so the person at the top decides he or she deserves more. There is two arguments for that as well: - its a charity so they should take as little as they can - if it wasn't for the expertise and paying top dollar they wouldn't generate as much.

Yep, maybe more would converse with you if you didnt just spout uneducated generalisations. first, I agree that some charity outlets or schemes will not have as much of the donation going to where we would like. However, you need to understand the mechanic first before you go up in arms about that and the politics where appropriate and then also realise that some charities out there operate as not for profit at all. Even that doesnt paint the whole picture. Now, I work with a few small charities and let me give a few examples. The wingate Centre in cheshire is something I support through work. I work with a charity football side who arrange matches for charity and other evenings entertainment and so on. Each player and person involved takes not so much as a penny. Then they give whatever they generate to the wingate centre (and a few other causes). Now, the wingate centre is a registered charity as well but that employs paying staff. It has to. It needs carers and physios and qualified management. Its a full time job. you have to realise that running a charity itself needs people in there who know about accounts, fund raising, management, and so on. Ill say again its a full time job. So you pay people to run the charity. The cost of this comes out of the fundraising and the balance in this case goes towards rehabilitation for disabled kids. Its a fantastic place. You do get volunteers who work in there now and again and they also make a big difference as without them they would need to employ a couple more full time workers. so you need a mix. But you cant rely only on volunteers else you might have no one on some days. How about having a word with Scottish Mag off here and see what good work they do (Cahonas Scotland) and give more of an example of your lack of understanding in this?

The is a fucking mental policy, disgusting. I suggested a politician "cull", I reckon we'd be better off for that as well.

I could ask 100 of my mates my age (hang, lets call that people I know) and I guarantee 100 would know it. As to whether it was ever used at the coast, Id say it was bound to have been as any local term generally spreads around the area. Oddly they seem to hit a shit wall when they get to Mackemland and a few terms they use I've never heard of. For example "panackelty" or however the fuck you spell it. Id never heard of it until I heard a mackem say it. Common south of the tyne Im told like Jarrow/Hebburn down to Shields etc. -
Had eldest at football this morn. No swimming on today but he has a party. I'm not going like, going to take youngest out for food n wandering around.

Nah it wasn't. Likely started there and spread if imagine. I asked wor lass (she is from Holywell, though younger) and he remembers Scotchy but reckons it wasn't common and she didn't know the Scotswood bit. -
Here's a quick tip for you and it's lush (and healthy ) 2 chicken breasts, rub in a little coconut oil, sprinkle piri piri seasoning (Jamie Oliver little packet). Wrap in silver foil. Stick in George Forman grill. Done. Makes lush chicken AND the grill just needs a quick wipe afterwards

I can't help but read that in the voice of Cartman

Scotchy may have been used across the town, but it originated as a name for people from Scotswood and perhaps Elswick/Benwell/Cruddas but Scotswood seems logical. -
I have a few customers in Ireland. Cork and more so limerick accents sound like they are about to burst in to song at any minute

When I was at school early 80s scotswood/Benwell was one of the worst places in Newcastle. Hence calling someone a scotchy meant they were a tramp. Charver was slightly different really as it became people who talked through their nose, wore a tracksuit and Burberry cap etc. Bit like when I was at school the lasses like this were called Sharon's. With their huge ear rings and massive fringes -
A centre half is a must and if Douglas is that man then fine by me. Other than that I i think we either need a different forward to play 442 or change to 433. Another full back does seem the obvious choice given many of ours feel like "fill ins".

Id go with that. Put him LM rather than LB for some easier games than Man Utd and then bench Jonas to rest him. See how he gets on. Not every game to piss Jonas off, but at least to give him a crack and see how he gets on. -
I think Henda doesn't realise his post error here
