  1. Not sure where you'd get hold of one chief, but the little book and cd that the Independent gave away a while back might be worth having a look for. I found the Spanish they did one useful for what you're after.
  2. I think it'll turn out pretty good overall, and even an average Peep Show series will be a lot better than most other things. To be honest I wasn't that keen on Series 3 when it was on the tv, but once I'd watched them again on dvd they really grew on me. Can see this series doing the same. They should get Mark's sister back in for an episode, it was brilliant the last time she was in it.
  3. Scottish politics not your strong point then? Perhaps I was being a bit strong but he seems to have moved a long way from his socialist roots in recent times. It is cheaper to be a student in Scotland than anywhere else in Britain. pensioners don't pay for a lot. pretty soon no one will pay prescription charges. Our council tax for lower end families is coming down. We have in Scottish hydro elctric the cheapest fuel provider in Britain. Just defeated Tory and Lib Dem bill to de nationalise the water company. When the Tories win the next westminster elections it will gift Scotland to the Nats. In which case watch the moves toward becoming completely self sufficient in hydro wind and wave electricity. Just a shame you're thirty years too late in being self sufficient in oil really Oil runs out. And wait til independance kicks in. It'll be fucking brilliant. I can't wait to see how you lot get on without the massive subsidies the English give you. Aye but when we go the oil goes with us. See how much you subsidise us then!! It's well known England props up the whole of the UK. It might be boom time for the celts since devolution but if you vote for independence, your taxes won't get the nice top up from south of the border they do now. So I'll be watching with interest to see how your politician's spend more policies get on with significantly less revenue. All the archaic formulas like the ones which give Scots automatic extra slices of public services and transport budgets that were conceived in the 1970's as a sop to you the last time you got uppity will also go, so that's another big chunk of money you're going to have to find. I welcome independence for the likes of you. The English get to spend their money on the English, Scots and Taffs if they want to go the same way do likewise. Seems perfectly fair to me, though no doubt once the reality sets in of what you've done up there there'll be some gnashing of teeth. Enjoy. You seem oblivious to the amount of oil revenuse from Scottish sources Britain relies on. Approximately 350 Billion ponds of income from Scottish oil wil be transferred to Scotland come independance. That pisses all over the amount Scotland gets thanks to the Barnett formula. Plus you will still be subsidising us thanks to the tariffs of the EU which will give us huge grants thanks to the terms for new members. face it England is in for a huge wake up call when Scotland gets independance. Along with the fact it pretty much ensures Tory domination for a long time to come without the labour seats Scotland has. But you go on in your daily mail fantasty world where England props up the economy of the other nations without receiving anything in exchange. Aye right lad, daily mail fantasy, when you're the one clearly in thrall to the scottish 'independence will be brilliant' propaganda. It's an indisputable fact England is the part of the UK that pays the bills. And I'd be careful about the pro independence side's claim that with the oil money will keep the good times going in Scotland, production's going down in the North Sea, will be very noticeable if you ever get the breakaway some of you want.

  7. Sound of Alex getting kicked square in the balls, ala Sid the Sexist. Me and another bloke nearly walked into each due to us both rubber-necking. Once saw a bloke rubber necking like that while he was crossing the road, the car he didn't see didn't miss him by much. Bonny lass like, suppose he decided the risk/reward ratio was acceptable Good job the driver didn't spot her too. Good point, I never thought of that.

  9. Alan Oliver will be furious another journo used his 'wide of the mark' phrase
  10. Cracking episode, loads of classic moments
  11. Sir Jeff asking Allardyce if he'd ever been offered a bung back in 2006 was interesting television. But it seems to have been airbrushed from history.
  12. Gordon Bank's save from Pele in that same game too If you wanted a bit more unusual one (for us over here anyway) Bobby Orr scoring the winner in the 1970 Stanley Cup is a great photo.
  13. Birthplace of Alan Oliver. I'd stick to drinking bottled water if I was you
  14. Five goalies under contract now, going to be a bit of a logjam for places unless one or two of the kids go out on loan next season. Still if the club rate them all, I'm all for it, rather have too much talent signed up than too little.
  15. Saving Private Ryan for me. Everyone I know thinks it's class, I thought exactly the opposite.
  16. Jedi Knight, but it was never a realistic propostion. They stopped hiring after they blew up that second death star.
  17. Had totally forgotten that. Roll on summer, minus the floods and weeks of shitty weather this year hopefully
  18. Potentially superb bit of business as QPR could sign him today for nowt with him being out of contract at the end of the season. Snap their hands off!
  19. Top man, hope he'll come through this okay. Iirc he went into the burning stand at Valley Parade as his family were in there, and helped get people out, that sort of bravery and toughness will stand him in good stead.
  20. The Police should definitely go round to his and pick the forms up personally this time.
  21. Totally agree. Some clubs get different treatment no matter what anyone says. Fair play to the Met though, unlike Northumbria who couldn't wait to get involved in a stupid waste of time and our money they've apparently decided not to investigate.
  22. Nice one mate, I will do. Would be canny to see you and some other familiar faces, so I'll check that. And aye if there's a three legged donkey that's a certainty to win the chrimbo expenses I'll be sure to drop you a line! Take it easy mate
  23. We lost on penalties and took our ball away in a strop? nah, the pitch was a bit cut up by the year after Who are ya?! Who are ya?! Wahey Kirkey marra! Oi Oi! Hope you're well fella Aye canny good thanks! You about for any matches in the run up for xmas mate? Fulham away, but after that I'm not sure, made nee arrangements past that fella
