Looking bad with such a hectic run of games coming.

In Bratislava? I was there, hellhole, definately won't be going back. No real attractive away trip this time unfortunately.

They did well and qualified from a fairly poor group for the World Cup. If they are still anything like what they were like when we had them for Euro 2008 qualifying then we are guaranteed 4 points as we did well against them with Staunton in charge. There's no reason at all why we can't challenge Russia. Macedonia are an old bogey team and Armenia are unknown.

The way the number has been treated this season especially, whoever is next to get it is going to be under a hell of a lot of pressure to perform. What if someone were to come in, be given the 9 shirt and Carroll were to go and outscore him. Unfair pressure IMO.

Bests missed header was horrendous.

First time we've got 5 in the league in 7 years

Hughton out

Amazing. Stuck on 5 live on freeview, about 15 mins late. Saw Newcastle 3 Cardiff 0. Had to check elsewhere as I didn't quite believe it

With England there will always be the lingering doubt. Bags of talent, perhaps a stronger squad than Spain but theres always that feeling that they will make a balls of it. Quite like Spain before they exorcised those demons by finally winning something. Could it be Englands turn this time? As regards the draw, from an Irish perspective, I would love to have another go at France, as long as Domenech is still there. I would be keen to avoid England, I see them as the only team that would give us a real drubbing. Belgium in pot 4 would be a very tough task for any team, strange ranking considering some of the young talent they have coming through, along with the likes of Vermaelen, Fellaini, Defour, Kompany, Witsel etc.

Brucey must be due a move soon. I'm sure he'll leave them high and dry sooner rather than later

3 and a half year deal is slightly baffling for a Championship player at best
-
A poor mans Caleb Folan. And that's saying something. Can't see him adding much, not too different to Carroll or Ranger. Pace is needed not this ffs
-
Another horrendous 45 minutes. What a shite league this is.
-
Van Aanholt has looked alright. Being left a bit exposed by Guthrie, surprised Guthrie was started in front of him given his tendency to drift infield.
-
Get shot of Butt fast. Completely off the pace, terrible. Get Jonas on for him and push Guthrie into the middle. Have a real go at a team for a change

Looks fantastic, definately going to have to give it a watch. Also David Simons new show, "Treme", the men who played Bunk and Freamon in The Wire are going to be two of the main cast in it. I do however fear that such is the hype surrounding it after Simons last creation being so big, it will more than likely disappoint, unless you somehow think of it as being something completely new and not from the creators of The Wire. (Not that the trailer helps, first bloody thing you see is that phrase!)

FA Cup 4th Round / West Brom vs Newcastle
IrishMag replied to brummiemag1's topic in Newcastle Forum
Pancrate and Jonas on the wings, very attacking. 0-1 Nolan. -
Alright lads. Been playing with Celtic. Got 2 seasons done. Won the league both years, undefeated first season and 2 defeats second season. Only made the last 16 of the CL in both years. Now its pre-season for 11/12, and Fergie has just retired. Manchester United have just approached me, €52m budget and €1.8m wage budget. Should I take it?

That reminds me of Jimmy McNulty getting the job done while the place was raided
-
€10 on Newcastle Olympiakos Sevilla Inter Returned €77 Couldn't see us not winning tonight tbh, even though I've always said I never, ever back Newcastle.
-
Their big thing now will be that they are going to make history by being the first team to win the Europa League. Cunts.
-
Had a bloody sweat on for Leeds! 2 trebles in Leeds Colchester Norwich 3/1 Liverpool Stuttgart Barcelona 6/1
-
Always happens when I don't bet on it. Great night

Preston 0 Newcastle 2 tonight. Similar pattern to the Sheff Utd game I think, a desperate first half, and a more driven, motivated toon stepping it up to take the points. 3 points tonight and we top last seasons tally Is Saylor back?
